I picked this company, b/cuz I was in a budget and initially liked the idea of an all inclusive package included for a Beach Wedding. I think this company or to be more specific the manager Lori lacks a lot of self interest and passion in her work. She also, lacks involvement towards making the bride/groom feel amazing, special, and in good hands with her services. My experience with Lori before hiring her and Wedding Bells and Seashells to conduct our ceremony, she seemed to be very friendly and easy going. Post the wedding contract, Lori displayed attitude like she is burnt out from probably attending so many weddings over time. That she makes you feel your just another bride, and this is just another wedding of the many she is probably done. She manages your wedding like a robotic machine, which is the opposite of anyone in this type of business should be doing. Lori also lacks engagement and connection with the couple and shows a great deal of lack of enjoyment in her work. Paying fees of almost $2,000.00 for an hour of service, is not really cheap if you think about it. Lori needs to know that even if she has done over a 1,000 weddings (figuratively speaking), every bride and couple should always feel stress free and engage more, so her couples can achieve a magical and unforgettable wedding memories. Micah and Megan cannot be more impressive than what we experienced. I would stop there - but there is so much to include. My wife and I live in CA...and we chose to have our wedding in Miami. So you can imagine the challenge of coordinating something of this magnitude from across the country. Our first visit to Miami was to select a venue and interview a coordinator. Of course, many venues offered their internal rep - but that was a 'cookie cutter' approach and we deserved better. Then somehow, my wife found Wedding Bells and Seashells. November Jupiter Beach Wedding WBSS exceeded our expectations to say the least. Every detail of our wedding was taken care of by the coordinator from bouquet to photographer. Highly recommend hiring this service if you're planning a beach wedding no matter the size. Ours was small (3 persons) and we couldn't have been happier. The WBSS business model is spot-on; the paperwork was clearly explained and handled with filing at the clerk of court (which we recommend). This is a small family owned company that helps to coordinate events for thousands of couples annually, its possible that if you call you may not have someone pick up but they responded to calls and emails within 24 hours throughout the entire planning process. I think that customers need to tailor their expectations a bit more if you expect a vendor that will be at your beckon call 24 X 7 X 365. My travel agent found is Wedding Bells and Seashells, and I cannot day enough good things about them. Lori contacted me immediately after my initial contact. Walked me through the process and asked if I had any questions, which of course I did! She was professional and answers everything quickly and accurately. She helped us plan the ceremony and get our Florida marriage license. I contacted her multiple times throughout our process and before the wedding. She was always welcoming to any question I had, I never felt as if I was a bother! The day before the wedding rain, rain and more rain came down. Forecast was terrible. Lori reaches out to me to figure out a contingency plan, as we were supposed to get married on the beach. She figured out our alternative and was in constant contact until wedding time. I have to say this company is top notch. We had some changes to the wedding location due to my father's health and not being able to go to the original wedding destination. So we ended up planning it just over a month out. Everyone was super easy to get along with. Even though there was a short time to plan, I never felt rushed in any of the process. The simple suggestions Lori made never changed my idea of the wedding at all, but enhanced it. It was all reasonably priced. Communication was had when it was needed, but never overburdened. The day of... WOW! It could not have been more perfect. The entire staff was amazing. Friendly, helpful, always smiling. I had stargazers as one of my flowers, and their floral company had some of the most beautiful and big ones I had ever seen! It was so simple but so elegant at the same time. The ceremony, we chose to use their officiant. My husband had some neveres going in, and he said he calmed him down a little. We didn't have anyone besides ourselves in the ceremony as it was small. So it was really nice to hear that he wanted to make sure our day was perfect as well. It wasn't just a job for him. Once the ceremony was over, we did the small tent reception on the beach. They were constantly making sure not only I had everything I needed, but my husband as well. That was very important to me that they took care of him as well as me. After all.... he is my other half. The cake tasted amazing. We added the sangria bar. Totally worth it! Plus they always made sure you had a drink when you needed it, and held it when you didn't for pictures or other things gong on. The photographer was amazing as well. Super charismatic and made sure we had all the poses and places we wanted. He was amazing. After we left the NON-REFUNDABLE deposit we could not get a hold of them. We even flew in from Michigan and no one could meet with us. So we asked since the lack of return emails and cooperation not only from them but the vendors also for a refund. after waiting 30 days. Let me first say that the day of our wedding was wonderful. Things went well, the ceremony and decor were beautiful. We are very happy with that. However, communication is lacking a great deal. If we had not paid for a wedding rehearsal, the day of our wedding would have gone very differently. The planning of the wedding was quite stressful for my husband and I. We went with this company to simplify the planning, as we are from Ohio. Unfortunately, we had un-returned text messages and phone calls, and emails that weren't paid much attention to from various people within the company. We are not high maintenance people, but all of the nagging we had to do to have any small change or confirmation made us feel as though we were being very demanding. Not how we wanted to feel planning our wedding. The wedding processional was clarified several times through phone, email and survey, but the day of our rehearsal, incorrect information (that had been corrected several times) was still given to our officiant. Megan called us as soon as the officiant told her of our frustrations with the entire process, and to be fair they did throw in some extras to make our day more special and Megan was very personable in relaying their apologies. We appreciate what they did to make the day special, but I would've much rather had a smooth and stress free process planning the wedding. I'm not sure what went so wrong throughout, as I can see how many wonderful reviews they have, but our experience differed significantly. Ultimately, we are very happy with the actual day of our wedding and are grateful for that. The team that was present the day of our wedding was great. We LOVED our officiant, Bill. Hopefully, our experience was just a fluke and the communication of the team will continue to improve. We had actually wanted to hire them to take care of our reception, but never received any quotes or invoices we requested, even after submitting additional photos, details and ideas. We ended up going with Pride Catering FTL for our reception and to quite honest, if we could do it all over again, we would've let Jason at Pride Catering plan our entire event. He was AMAZING and the least stressful part of our entire wedding. We hope this review is helpful to others planning. I hired this company for my wedding and bought the most expensive package for a small wedding of ten people. You would think they would go above and beyond for such a small group. Instead they forgot the reception tables( I paid them to hold my reception also) they forgot to put the rose pedals down the aisle until after I walked down then they scattered to do it afterwards, they had we wait in the limo an hour late to start and they did stay an hour late to make up for it but it was dark on the beach not fun,they did not get a wedding cake but a regular cake blamed it on the grocery store. They gave me 100 dollars back but if you look at the pricing on the website they charged me way more. The owner was rolling her eyes at my dad the whole time, he can be a little over the top but still unprofessional. And after all this they promised me a special wedding gift as they called it if I did participate in drone footage to help their photographer with a new project and hen had to beg them for months for it and never got it!!!' I hired this company for my son's wedding. The day of the wedding it was very cloudy. I know the weather in South Florida can be crazy, and this company has no control of the weather. We arrived 30 minutes early. Unfortunately the photographer was over 30 minutes late. I called the company and the owner told me the photographer was stuck in traffic due to an accident, that this was an act of God that they couldn't control. I kept telling him an act of God was rain not an accident and they should have a back up plan since they told me that if we were late they were going to charge me a late fee. I feel they owe me for being late. Also 5 minutes could be the difference from a rain free day in SFL or a rainy day. The weather changes in a few minutes. It looked like a storm was going to hit and we were waiting and waiting for this photographer to finally show up to work. Then the photographer told us he would stay an additional 30 minutes, which was not additional time, he was just making up for his tardiness. He told us since he was late, he would get the pictures to us in 2 weeks. 5 weeks passed and noone contacted us. I called to ask and Michelle told me the photographer was out of the country because he had an "emergency". It took over 6 weeks to get the pictures. Also they forgot to give the bride the flower bouquet and in the middle of the ceremony the brought it. I wanted a worry free wedding day for my son. That is why I hired this company. They nickel and dime you for everything but didn't take responsibility for their mistakes. Being late made the rest of the festivities be delayed as well. They have a great concept but they need to be on time just like they expect us to be on time. They need to deliver and be more professional and respectful of others time and experience.
