A very nice, "homey", wine tasting experience…read more First off, Linda (hostess and wine expert) and Chester (wine maker and expert) are amazing people. We had been passing the road that takes you to this winery for years and finally decided to stop in. We were the only ones in there for most of our tasting, then another group came in and were really friendly. The wines that were offered were all fruit based and Linda explained that each season offers many different fruit based wines. The specialty ones for the month were Plum and Rhubarb and I think they were finishing up a Pumpkin one (which is probably available now, in the fall as I'm writing this). We had wines we've never heard of of had before. Plum, Rhubarb, & Tomato were very interesting and unique. The wine is not too strong and full of flavor, along with great conversation. We had to have been there for over an hour, just for a tasting! We got to know Linda and Chester quite well and because it was our wedding anniversary, they gave us a little bit extra of an experience! Sometimes the best experiences are at smaller places. Vine-N-Berry definitely fits that category and I am so glad that we got to stop in there. Now we have a glass and can come back when we choose to taste more wine. We walked out with a few different bottle, a Cherry, Raspberry and Pineapple. All were delicious when we got to taste them. It was so hard to decide what wines to taste during our tasting, we wanted to try them all! If you're looking for a "cozy", non-corporate, personal experience at a wine tasting, along with some amazing wine, come to Vine-N-Berry. It'll be well worth your time!

A must see, they have some different wines. Bought 2 bottles of tomato wine (what????) to use in…read morecooking. We enjoyed talking to Chester and his wife (sorry! I forgot your name!) inside and learning about them and their family. But they need to spruce it up with some outside seating too...

Maybe wine tasting isn't for everyone…read more In a tiny little store front with 4 or 5 small tables w/ chairs, they start off by giving you a list of wines. You can only choose 5 to sample out of a few dozen for $8. After filling out the form, a woman gives you a small palette with five half filled tiny dixie cups, like the ones my dentist used when I was a kid. She throws in a bag of oyster crackers and walks into the back room where the wine making action is. It's at this point you'd better have some previous knowledge or the ability to figure out what the crackers are for and what to do next. She's not going to be any help. Knowing I don't care for sweet wines and very few whites, I spread my samples across the reds, dry and semi-sweets. I also picked a pear flavoured hard cider. I mastered the crackers. Ranked the five. Then the woman reappeared with a pen and order tablet. I guess it's assumed you'll purchase some of those wines. I didn't like the flavour of their Pinot Noir, but the Marquette (dry) and the Concord (semi) made the trip home with us. This wasn't anything like what I've seen in the movies, so it was a bit of a disappointment. I also believe my hostess should've been more available, helpful and less presumptuous. In the future, I'll have a totally new approach and enjoy it more. 10/25
