B&B Winery is a hidden gem outside of Ubly and Bad Axe. The home start-up has grown 3x its size in five years and hosts various vendor events, painting classes, belly dancing, and more. We had been passing the road that takes you to this winery for years and finally decided to stop in. We were the only ones in there for most of our tasting, then another group came in and were really friendly. The wines that were offered were all fruit based and Linda explained that each season offers many different fruit based wines. The specialty ones for the month were Plum and Rhubarb and I think they were finishing up a Pumpkin one (which is probably available now, in the fall as I'm writing this). We had wines we've never heard of of had before. Plum, Rhubarb, & Tomato were very interesting and unique. The wine is not too strong and full of flavor, along with great conversation. We had to have been there for over an hour, just for a tasting! We got to know Linda and Chester quite well and because it was our wedding anniversary, they gave us a little bit extra of an experience! Sometimes the best experiences are at smaller places. Vine-N-Berry definitely fits that category and I am so glad that we got to stop in there. Now we have a glass and can come back when we choose to taste more wine. We walked out with a few different bottle, a Cherry, Raspberry and Pineapple. All were delicious when we got to taste them. It was so hard to decide what wines to taste during our tasting, we wanted to try them all! Gorgeous…read more Located just south of Grand Bend, this picture perfect winery & cidery has become a day-trip destination for couples, girls trips, bachelorettes, mom's-day-outs and everything in between. It's just so stinkin' pretty. The grounds are beautiful and the swing seats are really cool. Everywhere you look is breathtaking, and of course a photo opportunity. The food and drinks are reasonable. The charcuterie and "Apple & Brie Pinsa" (pizza) are my recommendations, along with a flight so you can find your new favourite drink. The "Peach Apple Hard Cider" is mine. Did you know that all of their wine and cider is gluten free? They have a gluten free menu and can accommodate most food allergies. They also have some really good merch. And not just clothing, I'm talking candles, chocolate bars, honey, and even those super neat lids for cans. (I'm a sucker for local small business merch, can you tell?) Last but not least, get a Peach Apple gelato to go, it's the perfect summer/fall treat.
