One of my absolute FAVORITE places! Super welcoming, beautiful, intimate setting for trying homemade wines and enjoying the weather. They have great small plates (cheese boards, etc.), flights of wine, full glasses, and non-alcoholic options too. Everything is reasonably priced. I always purchase a few bottles of my favorites to take home. They also host events such as special dinners or harvest days throughout the year. Fun little spot located in Lexington. We were headed up for a little day trip to Port Austin and decided to stop at 3 North Vines for a wine tasting. It was a perfect October Saturday, and we were fortunate to enjoy the warmth of the sun as we sipped on our wine. 3 North Vines is a cute little winery that also offers other drink options and light appetizers. Here's the problem with this lovely little tasting spot. The wine sucks. I pretty much tasted all of them. Too sweet, too weak, some like vinegar (yuck). Somethings not right. Not sure where to point the blame because Michigan wines in general kinda suck by nature (though some Reislings are good). To save grace, there's other menu options, like charcuterie, ciders, sangrias, etc. That said, the staff were friendly, the ambience outstanding, feel free to sit back and spend like a tourist. read more

Great selection of wines, beers, and ciders! We love this place for a relaxing night out. The staff members are always friendly and pleasant. They also host events (bands etc.) and sell to-go beers, wines, and other local goodies! We love trying different drinks and often get the flights. The food here is pretty good as well. Perfectly cozy spot and such a great addition to the area. Easy access, easy parking, great service, great prices, great products all during a pandemic. I had really looked forward to coming here on our mini vacation and they did not disappoint. We even had a baby and didnt get the funny looks, just compliments. Nice seating on the veranda they called it, we ordered 2 wine flights quickly and the big sampler of meats, cheese etc. Wine was quick, 2 sweet flights, one with sangrias, one with all wine. I love wine, but only one hit me that i loved, and i was surprised because im not generally a fan of reds. Fool me once it was called. We tried a cider flight, mostly because the coffee infused one intrigued me. I'm so glad i did because the Espresso Royale is a life changer, coffee meets hard cider. This is the perfect getaway in Lexington, MI. The vineyard offers spacious outdoor seating with a view of the grapes growing. It was so relaxing to sip and chit chat in the fresh air- we even walked through the vineyard. Staff was very kind and knowledge about the selections on the menu (which is very helpful if you're uneducated on wine like I am) I did the ultimate non-wine drinker movie and ordered a lemonade hard cider but I'm so glad I did! This is a real deal winery! They have comfortable seating in and around the vines. Their wine list is less extensive than other wineries we visited, but it was also more focused on more traditional wines (with fewer sweet fruity wines). We tried all 8 wines- the vidal blanc was our favorite, and we bought a bottle that we since consumed lakeside the next day! We didn't get to try the ciders but I did try them later that night at their in-town restaurant. read more

The ambiance of the vineyard is great. We enjoyed sitting on the patio and enjoying a fe flights of wine. There are also small plates that go well with the flights. We also too a trip to the tap room that is in downtown Lexington. Great space as well. A little different feel that the outdoor open air feel of the vineyard. Very disappointed in how my group was treated this afternoon. We have been in contact with the vineyard that we would have a wedding party group coming in for wine tasting and were told whenever was fine and there would be no issue. As soon as we walked up we were greeted in an extremely rude manor by someone behind the bar. Someone else walked up after and told us to wait outside and that it would be a long time before we would be seated. We didn't mind waiting but every single person in our group was very uncomfortable with the passive aggression we got. So we decided to leave. Would not recommend this establishment for large groups or anyone celebrating an event. Very, very disappointed. We were there to celebrate my sister and you definitely put a damper in our moods. View was amazing, wine and service wasn't anything great. I was excited to try this place seeing all the reviews. It was busy and a very impersonal experience. I want to know about the wines during a tasting and at least have a glass of water for between tastes. Neither was provided, had to ask for the water and wait over ten minutes for the bill. Out of four white wines I only found one appealing. Even the cider was hoppy which I didn't expect at all. It was fairly pricy too, $19-30 a bottle. If there was a unique taste, I would certainly pay it. However, nothing stood out. Pretty disappointed with the experience. read more

My third annual trip to three north vines! This vineyard has a fantastic tasting room with patio overlooking the grape vines. Wonderful for a couple of hours in the summer before or after a swim in the nearby lake. The wine selection covers a wide variety of well balanced reds, white and even a rose. The raspberry white wine sangria is a refreshing summer treat and worth the trip on its own. This year, cider has been added to the menu. Don't forget to get a cheese plate! read more

Another great discovery in the Thumb! The setting reminded me somewhat of a French rustic cafe leading to a terrace adorned by a garden and the vineyard. My wife had a splash of their pinotage. This place is a hidden gem! It hangs with the best of Michigan wineries. We stumbled upon this place on a mid-November afternoon and we were pleasantly surprised. Excellent wines and service! Driving up, there is a small tasting room on the left that can accommodate up to 15 people. This being said, on a sunny day you cannot beat sitting in the deck in a rocking chair sipping a glass of wine. Every wine we had was good, particularly the dry Riesling and Pinot Gris. A wonderful place to stop by and sample some wine. As you approach the wine house, you drive by the vineyards. The wine house is small, with the entire interior having barn wood for walls. There were 7 wines to sample when we came in, where we could sample 4 for $5. We did that, and then had sangria. The two they had today were Mango Raspberry and Strawberry limo mojito. This is a phenomenal diamond in the rough! The tasting room at 3 North is rustic modern and very inviting with a patio that overlooks the vines. They vint red, whites and blends, and all are excellent. They also make delicious infused waters! Kristi and Nate are an amazing couple and a pleasure to talk to. My wife and I decided to take a break from the Lexington lake cottage & visit a winery. Since 3 North Vines was close, had a cool name (ask Kristi, the owner with her husband Nate, how it came about) & received great reviews, we made the short trip. First thing we noticed was the way they decorated their showroom in a very cool country yet urban chic style. Up front, we are wine novices which Kristi relished to help us learn. We were on a bachelorette weekend with 12 rowdy 30 somethings and this was my favorite stop on our wine day! The architecture and design of the building is adorable. Their wines and sangria were delicious and I took some home! We purchased several types of cheese and crackers that complimented the wines nicely. The patio and garage doors that open up make this a perfect stop for enjoying a glass of wine. The best part are the owners--the husband/wife duo are charming & gracious hosts!
