Every item was loaded, and unloaded thoughtfully, and it was clear the team genuinely cared about protecting our belongings--not just getting the job done quickly. The crew was punctual, efficient, and respectful, and they communicated clearly throughout the entire process, which made a potentially stressful move feel smooth and manageable. On top of the excellent service, their pricing was very affordable, especially for an out-of-state move, and there were no surprise charges. If you're looking for a moving company that combines care, reliability, and great value, I highly recommend The Local Moving Company. We would absolutely use them again. Thank you Dirul & your whole team!

Our furniture was wrapped in movers blankets AND plastic wrap. I prepped & pre-packed my own personals and kitchen and the move went really fast. By Spring 2026 a 2nd move out of storage and into a truck for delivery out of state was completed. Again Safe & Sound did a 5 star job packing the truck for a long journey. I was charged only for actual hours worked... I drove the truck to Maine and hired a local crew to unload - the local Maine crew were ok but cost me almost 3 times more with minimum contract hours and too many movers. I would hire Safe and Sound Movers again without hesitation.

Jabber is the person who answered my initial call and explained the pricing to me. He also showed up to lead the team on moving day, along with his brother and a third mover. Jabber has been doing this for more than 10 years, and keeps the team small so that he can closely manage quality. The second thing that really impressed me is that they wrapped everything in plastic, adding furniture pads where needed. My 65-inch TV was put into a special box and was handled gently. The movers were pleasant and fun to talk with. There were absolutely no surprise charges, just the hourly fee, and they worked quickly.

I loved that they wrapped all my furniture and pictures in moving blankets and shrink wrap to protect them. They even disassembled and reassembled some of the furniture pieces. They guys were so helpful that they even took some pieces I was not taking with me to the apartment dump. They were just as fast getting the items into the townhouse and getting everything assembled and in place where I wanted it. I will definitely be using DK Love Movers again when I move next!! I highly highly recommend them!!

0 stars -- would give zero if the platform allowed…read more On April 16, 2026, Capital Movers and Storage moved us to Wake Forest, NC. During the move, multiple crew members disappeared for periods exceeding one hour without explanation. One mover took particular notice of my wife's jewelry, watching closely as she handled it that morning. Her jewelry -- including pieces of deep family significance passed down through generations -- was secured in our locked vehicle with no signs of forced entry and driven directly to our new home. At the destination, the same mover who had observed the jewelry that morning offered multiple times to carry the specific bag containing it into the house. My wife placed the bag in our bedroom closet. At some point during the remainder of the move, we were outside the home. The following morning the jewelry was gone. When we reported this to CEO William Saunders, he stated -- verbatim -- "we have never had anything like this happen and this could ruin us." He requested we not contact police for 24 hours, stating he wanted to speak with his crew first, and indicated he had a good idea who may have been responsible based on issues that person had "when he was young." We honored his request. The items were not returned. My wife spoke with Mr. Saunders separately and independently, and his statements to her were consistent with what he told me. Mr. Saunders later disputed making those earlier statements. A police report has been filed. The investigation is active.
