Master Teeez, responded with a quote of $1000-2000 for the 8 tasks I listed. Since there was a large variance in the estimate I suggested that he come onsite to look at the work that has to be performed to give me a more accurate quote of what the actual cost will be. He informed me that he would be available to come buy on a sunday between 10-12 (noon). I sent him a follow-up message via the yelp app (same day) to ensure that he still plans on arriving for our appointment. Unfortunately, he never showed up nor sent me a follow-up message that he would not show up for the appointment. I am sure he does great work and perhaps he has alot of appointments but it may be important for his business to hire an assistant and as a result I won't give him a chance for a future project.

David, It is…read moreobvious your words (see below where you pleaded Mia Coupa / my bad) were merely an effort to assuage prospective customer's fears about doing business with you. Bottom line you have no intention of making good on your offer to clean up the awful mess you made. Approximately a week ago I asked you if you were confident you could correct the mess you made. You never responded. That is not the posture of a man who regrets what he has done. In your initial response you suggested 2 options (.... I would like to offer full repair at no additional cost to you to help make things right or a partial refund.... Please let me know what feels fair to you, and how best we can proceed.). I think it is in both of our best interests to end this project on friendly terms. Instead of a partial refund, please return all of the money. I will need it to hire someone to clean up what you did, buy additional materials and then complete the job correctly. And here's the kicker, you used tunnel vision on this project. I am a senior citizen with friends, family and I belong to several organizations. One of the most common conversations I hear is 'I wish I had a reliable, handyman, I could trust'. Here are some of the words you offered in the way of an apology: ... I also deeply regret that I accepted a job I was not fully prepared for,... ... I failed to honor that trust, and I take full responsibility. My vow to you and my future customers definitely include additional training to ensure this never happens again...
