Asked the first employee we saw that directed us to the correct baggage check, and of course we were supposed to go to the furthest part of the airport. Team members checked our boarding pass and ID. Self service baggage kiosk and off we went to the lounge, which was right after security. And then we realized that our gate was just in front of our Infinity Lounge. What a great start! Ambiance - Huge airport, minimum of two terminals. But clear instructions from Easy Jet airline and Google Maps. Service - Mostly self service. Price - Depends on where you go. The absolutely wonderful thing about Nice Airport is that it means you are in the French Riviera..but that's about it, haha. Reason for my generous three stars. On arrival, there was no AC in the baggage claim area and it was hot. On the way home, the setup was a little peculiar. They have a nice duty-free section, and I considered grabbing a few things, but even with duty free the prices were higher than what I could find back in the States. There were a couple of lounge-style restaurants before customs, but once you pass through, it's basically just two spots offering the equivalent of vending machine sandwiches. Definitely not ideal if you're looking for a proper meal before your flight. I guess you live and learn for next time. read more

This airport is way easier to navigate and smaller compared to other airports. Staff are nice and friendly. Line for security can be long, but it moves fast. No need to take shoes off. There are a lot of stores that you can shop. There are the usual luxury stores like Hermes, Cartier, Dior and many other ones. There is also Ladurée booth, in case you want to purchase pastries or macarons on the go. There are small stores selling souvenirs, drinks, and snacks. The prices were reasonable. They weren't sky high like other airports. Overall, it was a great experience flying in and flying out of this airport. P.S heads up this airport tends to change gate numbers. Therefore, I would recommend allot enough time to get to your gate, in case it gets changed last minute. read more

The Nice airport is medium sized but fairly easy to navigate. Access is just off the main seafront Boulevard and easily reached by taxi. Before security, there are a variety of shops and restaurants. Past security there are fewer. The VIP lounges are shared, but offer an adequate number of seats and amenities. read more

I would like to submit a formal complaint regarding the extremely poor management of passport control at Nice Côte d'Azur Airport T1 and the unacceptable treatment I experienced there. On March 12th at approximately 3pm, there was only one passport control desk open while there was a huge queue of around one hundred passengers. The situation was completely disorganised and badly managed, creating significant stress for passengers and putting many of us at real risk of missing our flights. There was also a female staff member who appeared to be managing the queue. Instead of handling the situation in a professional and supportive manner (I mentioned to her I have a flight now and I'll be late to go through queue faster she wanted to send me to the end of the queue), she was running around creating confusion and complaining about passengers to the police desk, particularly about me. She was also shouting at me in front of many other passengers. As a result, the policeman at the passport control window refused to allow me to proceed through passport control, even though my flight was already boarding and I was at serious risk of missing it. The policeman was also raising his voice and speaking to me in a very rude and disrespectful way in front of everyone in the queue. This behaviour felt extremely rude, disrespectful and humiliating. Instead of assisting passengers in a difficult situation caused by the very long queue, I felt I was treated unfairly and singled out without justification. I was almost too late for my flight and only managed to board at the very last moment. It is unacceptable for an international airport to operate passport control with such limited capacity and allow behaviour that makes the situation even worse for passengers. I kindly ask you to review this incident and explain: - why only one passport control desk was open despite the extremely large queue, - who the female staff member managing the queue was, - why she was complaining about passengers to the police instead of assisting them, - why I was prevented from proceeding through passport control while my flight was boarding, - what measures will be taken to prevent this type of behaviour and mismanagement from happening again. Nice airport, it gave us vacation vibes as soon as the plane landed. Splendid views during landing as the army way is right next to the Mediterranean sea. They have a separate special immigration lane for families which was much appreciated, after a 15 hour journey with a toddler. There are some cool food stalls that serve beer and snacks right outside the airport. We had some trouble finding rideshare/Uber pickup area as the signs for it were not very clear and ended up with our driver canceling the ride. The Ubers actually park very far away, two street across from the taxi dropoff and there's no way to determine where the driver is unless you walk through the parking with luggage in tow. This was a little difficult but we finally managed to find our next ride. read more

As much as I love Côte d'Azur and was super happy during my entire holiday, at the airport customs my happiness faded away and I literally left with tears. The gentleman at the customs was unpleasant and even though my tax refund was accepted by the PABLO MACHINE, he said that he is going to cancel it... His colleague next to him wasn't unpleasant as that guy! He wasn't asking for the proof of anything! How can you purchase goods, giving your passport and going through all the process and at the customs they won't give you the tax return! It was absolute disgraceful and dishonest behaviour that made me cry and truly I felt cheated by the government of this beautiful country. I know one thing, God sees my honesty and my pain. Public transportations are easy accessed but it's difficult to ask a taxi to airport hotels due to the short distances, meaning having heavy bags might cause visitors to access an airport hotel. I'm glad I'm flying throughout NICE airport. The airport at Paris was a nightmare. This airport have two terminals and everyone was very friendly, servicing and informative. My original flight with KLM was canceled and rebooked on a longer one. The lady at the counter tried to find a better flight but couldn't. She was super nice. I made it through everything in like 20 minutes and managed to buy macarrones, coffee and croissants while watching the line at the gate moving. Excellent airport! read more

This is the review for the Terminal 1 for Nice Côte d'Azur Airport - but it is not Terminal 1 specific, hence sharing it here as well. Unlike restaurants, when it comes to the airports, we typically don't have a choice. I don't like Nice airport, but if I need to travel to Nice, I don't really have a choice. I find this airport dated and uncomfortable, with a poor signage and compete lack of comfortable sitting. A few comments that might be helpful for the travelers: There is a train that goes between terminals 1 and 2. The direction is not clearly marked, so you might want to ask someone, but train is the easiest way to travel between the terminals (you can also walk - it is about 15 minutes walk). There are plenty easily accessible hotels next to the terminal 1 - Sheraton, Novotel, etc. The hotels are 5-7 minutes walk from the terminal 1, no need to wait for a shuttle. If you are renting the car: The rental car center is located in the terminal 2. If you arrive to terminal 1, don't look for a shuttle, just take the train. When you will be returning the car, look for the signs for gas station as you will enter the airport. Then it is easy to reach the rental car center as you will leave the gas station. read more

The airport itself is pretty good and close to many hotels and restaurants and only 10 minutes from the water/promenade del anglais. The main issue with this airport were the taxi and Uber drivers. We waited for an hour and half to get transportation from here to our Airbnb. The taxis are way over priced but there're rude and don't care, even if you have a baby. There were no Uber or bolt drivers ready to pick us up from the airport. Would recommend being prepared with transportation once you get to the airport. read more

Flew out of here to and from Lisbon to get back to the US. It was easy to get to from the city center of Nice as we took an Uber. Our driver was super nice too. It's clean and easy to navigate. Something to remember is that there may be delays as the workers tend to strike. I thought this was a stereotype, but our flight to Lisbon was delayed for an hour. Fortunately we were able to go to The Library Lounge in Terminal 1 as we flew business class to Lisbon. Lots of shops for last minute shopping, as well as a good selection of places to eat. Don't forget to use their free Wifi. read more

Nice international airport that services the south of France. Security is tight as they don't have the full body scanners. There is an office there that authorizes your duty rebate and an exchange check that pays you the duty fee. If you buy an expensive item in Europe and pay in Euros and you are from another country you can ask the Vendor to provide paperwork to present to customs at the European customs. I bought my wife a Louis Vuitton bag and I was entitled to the duty back. The process takes about 15 minutes and is located on the first floor and should be done after you check in your luggage. The item purchased may need to be presented. The duty free shops at the airport are good, if you are a shopper you know what a good deal is and what is not. read more

Boo. I collect Starbucks mugs and was kind of counting on being able to get one before my flight out of Nice. Unfortunately, my flight was leaving out of the A side of terminal one, not the B side, where Starbucks is. It's not like you can walk freely between the A and B sides of the terminal. There is a passport control center to get into the B part of the terminal. Oh well. Both parts of terminal one have their own vip lounges. If you're united gold status or higher, you can access the bio lounges for free. Otherwise, this is your typical small airport. It's clean. They have food and shopping options and plenty of chairs. Security was easy to get through, but our flight was really early. Getting to and from Nice city is kind of a hassle. It's a 15-20 minute taxi ride to the promenade, where most of the hotels are. They are in the process of building a team, but it won't be completed for another few months. read more

Terminal 2. Very easy airport. The delta agents were extremely friendly. Going through the first checkpoint was also incredibly swift. It was a Sunday so that could of been why the lines were so short. The center of the airport with the mall and food courts was a bit busy but I just decided to go through the second checkpoint to find my gate. Again no one in front of me. At the gates I went into one of the lounges that was superb. An open bar, make it yourself type lounge with lots of bites to eat. Overall this is a very wonderful airport and I truly enjoyed my stay. read more

The airport in Nice was easy to get to and from using a ride-share app. The open parking areas made it super easy for the driver to find us. Departure was just as seamless. The airport is smaller, and wasn't as busy as other cities, which was nice. Ha...it was NICE even! It was very clean as well. When we first arrived into Nice, it was around 10pm, and it was a ghost town. We got our luggage quickly, and were out of there. No customs stops, which was strange. Returning for a departure to London was also fairly easy. We did have some trouble with the boarding pass machines, and the staff wasn't very glad to help us. They ultimately did, but not with any fanfare, that's for sure. The airports in Europe are smart. They have some nice shopping areas that you have to walk through to get to your gate. Smart marketing! But, whoa! Some of those French perfume stands all but knocked me out! There wasn't much seating at the gate, nor was our gate near much food. So I guarded the last seat while Mr. P hunted for snacks. All in all, a fair airport to travel into and out of...but sad to have to go! read more

A pretty straight forward airport. Nothing that will shock you and break you, but you'll be able to walk through it with relative ease. Staff can be a bit short with you, but it seems like everyone in France is that way. Didn't spend that much time here, but they did help us find a bus to our hotel and our luggage came out quick enough despite it being carry on's that Easy Jet made us stow. I will never forget the incompetent and lazy Nice airport security contractors on 31/8/2019 that made me miss my flight and spend another 120€ for a new one, completely unnecessarily. After I put my belongings on the security belt, it took 20 minutes for a process that had one security agent going between booths to scan baby formula after formula, ask aloud if someone's spray is allowed or not allowed. I told them I am in danger of missing my flight. 5 minutes later, not my problem. 10 minutes later, not my problem. Until someone finally looked at my bag and couldn't find an imaginary electronic and randomly put my 2 of my contact lenses into a plastic bag. All my belongings were splayed out. Asked to speak to a supervisor--not my problem. Getting chosen for this line at the very end and these quota people made me miss the flight by 1 minute. Of course, EasyJet would not make it easy for me to book inside. I exited and went all the way to ticketing, checkin, and security again--with no problem. 3 minutes--I was in the airport. I will never forget this lesson incompetence, laziness, and apathy. I went to 3 countries before France, and had 0 issues with my belongings. You are the worst airport I have ever visited. read more

Leaving Nice was sad but this Airport managed to make it better. This was one of the nicest least hectic airports I have ever been to. The staff is friendly including security and customs officials! The security process was so smooth and seamless that it felt like a concierge security check with plenty of bins and no one rushing you through so you actually have time to put your shoes back on without falling over. The food options at Terminal 2 were plentiful and delicious. Also, they have a pretty good selection of gift shops that aren't tacky. Only downside is seating at the gates is limited. If you are able to access the Levity lounge it's spectacular with tasty treats, comfy chairs and some top shelf alcohol. read more

Terrible place and the employees here are either limited or people are really that lazy. We had to fly to Morocco from this airport and due to the rain, our flight was cancelled for the night. AFTER we've been sitting on the plane for 3 hours because they were waiting for the airport to clean up the debris from the rain. Then we all fought to stand in line to get hotel vouchers and taxi vouchers. The airport was completely swamped with so many cancelled flights. The play area kept our kids sane through it all. The next day, we showed up at this airport again for our flight and our flight was delayed because they STILL haven't cleaned up the debris on the runway. All flights were delayed, people were jerks and some guy had the audacity to hit on me and give me his number while waiting for his flight. FINALLY, the runways were cleaned...a day and 5 hours later! We finally were going to board but our flight attendants were on break and didn't arrive yet, so another hour of waiting around. TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE airport with TERRIBLE logistics. I will make sure to never fly from this airport ever again. read more

This was a nice airport - it's small and easy to navigate, and easy accessible to downtown Nice. You can take an Uber for around 16-20€ one way, which is not too bad and it's easy to find the Uber pickup location upon arrival. Note that my Uber driver picked us up from the airport in the departures section. We arrived late on a Friday and the baggage claim was really fast, so we had no problems there. It took less than 5 minutes for our luggage to come out. When we were leaving Nice, the security line in Terminal 2 was super quick, and we were done in 5 min. Granted, this was a Monday in March, so I imagine it can get quite busy in the peak travel months, but they seemed to have a lot of security lines and the process was pretty efficient. I was in Terminal 2, and there were a decent amount of food options and shops to pick from, and there were also 2 lounges if you have access to that. I liked that the shops and food places were mixed in with the gates and that once your gate was shown on the screens you didn't have to run 10-15 min to get to your gate (ahem London Gatwick, Luton or Heathrow). The food options are not huge but they have a Joe & the Juice where you can get some juices or sandwiches, and a handful of other places, including a Jamie Oliver restaurant. The views from the airport are beautiful and you can see the water from inside the airport. You don't get views like this in most other airports. For the people who complain that they don't speak English at this airport, remember you are in France. In America, the agents and security staff are not bilingual or trilingual either. Either learn some French, use Google translate or try to figure it out. I'm from the States and yes, it's helpful if people speak English but it is certainly not obligatory for everyone in a foreign country to speak English. All in all, we had a good experience getting in and out of Nice and we liked this airport! read more

The personnel in security were rude in the extreme and reinforce a stereotype that we did not encounter anywhere else in the south of France. Restaurants were friendly in the extremes as were local daily interactions. Love this airport, plenty of food options from casual (which in France is still a delicious bakery) to more sit-down cafes, as well as a fun duty free (that you have to walk through to get to your gates, smart!) to get last minute souvenirs. Easy to get in and out and security lines are not too bad. Super close to the city which allows for truly last minute flying. read more

First time I've used T2 - it always used to be the domestic terminal but our Easyjet flight left from there. We'd been transferred from another airport more than 300 km away as our early morning flight was cancelled. Would have been stuck here all day were it not for the helpfulness of airport staff who told us where to find the left luggage area. I had to laugh - you walk to the furthest corner of the airport to find the counter, where they attach some tags, then you take it halfway back across the building to be scanned, then back to left luggage to leave it with them until your flight is ready for check-in. The French do love their complicated procedures - no built-in scanner for them. (I wouldn't change a thing). The airport is very close to Nice itself, so we took a bus into town which went via T1, which I used to visit frequently until a few years ago and - yes - they are still digging it up. These alterations must have been going on for more than 20 years. At least they keep plenty of people in a job. Is the car park for hire cars now back where it was originally? They must have shunted it round the entire site by now. Lots of very good quality shops air side and even right by the departure gate, which stayed open right until the last moment (Our flight was the last to leave the airport that evening around 10.00 p.m). read more

Nice, new airport. 15 minutes from downtown Nice by car and ~30 minute drive to Cannes and Monaco. Terminal 2 has a pretty efficient security line. Even though the line may look long, it goes pretty quickly. The main area is quite nice, lots of cafes to grab food, though I'm sick of jamon baguettes. The Italian restaurant closes its kitchen at 3pm, so you're just out of luck if you want real food after 3pm. If you're flying out of the Schengen area, you need to go through immigration to B gates. There's a Starbucks and Levity Lounge in the B gates area, but that's about it. Do your shopping and dinning in the main terminal 2 area. read more

There is only Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 within this small, busy International Airport. It has a huge car rental building next to Terminal 2 and even a gas station within the Airport, convenient! There is not a lot of shops here, but you can find all your essentials souvenirs before you head home (minus the tax). I was deterred not buy any liquids since I had layover in Zurich, Switzerland. They were WRONG! I didn't have to go though security again, so I could've brought those liquid items with me. Darn! The silver-lining to all of this was I saved some money. The best thing about this Airport is the convenience: -free shuttle within Terminal 1 + 2 (various small stops at parking lots) -clear marked buses heading to the cities nearby Overall, thumbs up! read more

This airport is absolutely brutal. Most restaurants close or run out of food by 9pm. How do you run out of food at an international airport. Not the newest, nicest, largest, or fanciest airport around. But will definitely give it a shout out for having free and fast wifi. Customs agents were friendly and courteous. Was quickly whisked through upon arrival. Check in lines and security checks were also quick and friendly. Not many shops nor food options. The single cafe i tried had terrible croissant and espresso (terminal 2 after the second passport control, gate B area, the only cafe there). So definitely best to eat breakfast in town prior to departure. Cheaper and better quality. Again, the best way to kill time at the airport is with solid wifi and Nice airport delivers on that. Cheap option to get to and from the airport to Nice is to take the 98 bus (6 bucks and 20-30 minutes depending on traffic) read more
