It's been a couple of days and my right eye is hurting me. I am really disappointed that my referral to an ophthalmologist was not by a real doctor, but by a tech. I definitely will make sure that the next referral by my primary is questioned and that the referral is to a doctor , not a tech standing in.

The resounding reply I got as a recommendation was Dr. Prendiville. Dr. Prendiville is the ultimate professional and did all the required testing before my surgery to know exactly what my needs were. He quickly assessed the issues and said "Would you like me to take care of that now?" Not "call my front desk to schedule another appointment" but "now"! I was beyond happy to say "yes!". He took me into another room to take care of a PCO issue in both eyes which he handled in literally seconds and said I was "all done". The results are so wonderful. After waiting 20 minutes, I was told it would be "5 more minutes," which turned into much longer. When I explained that I had another appointment to make, the staff member at the desk was unsympathetic and dismissive. At 10:40 I was finally called back, only to be told there were no rooms available and other patients would go first. I ultimately had to leave and return later in the day. Delays happen, but patients deserve honest updates and some respect for their time. Several other patients in the waiting room were frustrated as well.
