Great tasting food. Service is always pleasant. My family and I keep coming back here whenever we're in town.

So first time here and the reviews didn't look good. Service was ok but had to wait over 10 min for a water refill. (Not busy) Salsa was mild but good. Chips were cold but fresh. Food was delivered quickly, however I question if they saw I was preparing a Yelp review. Crispy chicken taco was bland but adding table salsa kicked it up. Chili Relleno was good, but just typical. Enchilada Suiza was just ok. I wasn't impressed by the chicken but the sauce was good. Traditionally it is served with sour cream and avocado slices, but I had to ask for it and they charged for it. Rice and beans were tasty and fresh. Overall the experience wasn't bad, but could have some minor tweaks. My Server was polite when I interacted. read more

Azul Tequila is two minutes away from my workplace, so I went with a couple of coworkers. I was shocked with how many people were also dining there. After seeing the lunch special menu, and tasting the food, I wasn't surprised after all. Food: I ordered a lunch special, where I picked two items for a list of about 5. I chose the beef tamale and the chicken crispy taco. It also comes with a scoop of sour cream, rice, and refried beans. When the dish arrived at the table, I was surprised with how much food there was! Deciding where to start, I started with the beef tamale and was thoroughly surprised. The corn husk was moist and not dry at all. The meat was plentiful and the red sauce that was scattered on top of the tamale complimented the tamale nicely. The shredded chicken in the crispy taco is white meat, so it was a little on the dry side. The taco also came with pico de gallo, cheese, and lettuce. The beans are rice were great and not too salty as some places often serve it. Service: The service was great and we received everything in a timely manner. Ambiance: The restaurant is a little loud. There are booth and table seating, so the noise waves have nowhere to be absorbed and created a loud environment. I will definitely be back for lunch to try some more of their lunch specials. For the price you're paying, you're really getting a great deal and might go back to work with sleepy if you decide to finish everything. read more

Camarón de ajo was horrible and it looked like there were swimming in a pool of beans. They didn't even taste anything like garlic. Shrimp tasted like they were frozen as well. So I got my second Covid shot today and decided to grab some Mexican food for lunch. I asked my friend if she knew a really good place and she suggested Azul Tequila. Some really good friends of hers apparently go here all the time, I can definitely see why. We sat outside on a pleasantly shaded patio. Chips were immediately delivered with a mild red salsa and a wonderful bean dip. The warm chips were made in the house and perfectly salted, a perfect accompaniment to the sauces. A second set of chips and salsa were delivered without us having to ask. The staff here is extremely attentive. We both ordered the custom lunch combo and both thoroughly enjoyed our food. Went here last night and ordered a carnitas plate & a hard shell shredded beef tacos. This is not what I expected for a mexican restaurant. Carnitas was not good at all, it had a flavor of like old carnitas, like maybe 3 to 4 days old. No guacamole or pico de gallo to go along with the carnitas. The hard shell tacos looked good but in reality no flavor to them. One this is for sure, I will never go there again. I came here after a full day of Six Flags to enjoy my boyfriends usual favorite stop to eat. However, I have celiacs disease and asked the waiter if there was anything (fish tacos, fish/ salmon etc) that I could have. He immediately told me no and that they process EVERYTHING with wheat in this place. I find that very hard to believe. He would not accommodate no matter if I asked for it being grilled on a separate pan. My allergy is not something I choose or dictate and to be turned away like that was very upsetting and hurtful. The food was very mediocre. I was extremely disappointed because for a shrimp ceviche that costs over $12.00, it seems I paid more for the onions and tomatoes than I did for the number of shrimps it had in the dish. All I could taste was onions and tomatoes. Because of my disappointment with my ceviche, I ordered some flautas thinking that it's a dish that would be safe and at least something I would enjoy. The flautas were not any different. They looked so good, but tasted like they were deep fried in frying oil that has not been changed in a week or so. Yum! We took my daughter and a couple of her friends to Six Flags and wanted to sit down and eat before the drive back home. I called about an hour and half before to book a reservation for a group of 7 on a Saturday evening. They had no problem with setting up a table! Yay! Then, the servers are prompt with drink and food orders. The drinks come out quickly and my group heads to the restroom. The restrooms are clean and stocked. We get back, and shortly after the food arrives! The server repeatedly came by our group to check on our order and fill out drinks. The portions are large, and the price is very reasonable. I ordered the shrimp over rice. Shrimp diablo I think??? It was delicious with large shrimp, but, the citrus was a bit sweet for my taste buds. We stopped here to celebrate a great workout at the women's Mud Run. We showed up on a Saturday, 7 of us, without reservations. We were seated immediately. We had several waiters working on our orders. The drinks came first. Comadre got a big shot of tequila. I got a tasty Michelada. Then comadre got nice alcoholic mango smoothie with a sprinkle of chili on top, bomb! Then I got a watermelon one, great! Salsa and authentic refried bean dip was sitting at our table being replenished constantly. One Molcajete is enough for 2 or 3 people. It was delish! The tacos looked yummy and the Chimichanga was enough for 2 meals. The prices were more than fair. It started to become crowded at about 7pm. I'm so glad that I got the Fajitas! I got the Steak/Chicken Combo recommended by the owner! It was amazing, I can always tell how a restaurant is by their fajitas! So yummy! Also, I got chips and guacamole, everything was fresh and some yummy tortilla soup. My husband got the Asada Burrito! To top it off, we got margaritas, I got to taste the blended as well so so good! The margaritas are perfect! I have now had their Mango Blended, Mango on the rocks as well as a classic one. My favorite would still be the blended. I can't wait to have their food again. Had a great dinner here. Food came out really well and fast. The food was really good, but honestly the staff was the best part. They are really kind and on top of their job. Everything I tried was made with tajin seasoning, one of the worst mexican restaurants in SCV.

Tonight my family and friends and I decided to go to azul tequila here in Valencia, this was my first time. A couple of friends recommended it. I arrived at 6:45pm told hostess we needed a table for 10 and she was quick to accommodate us. As we waited for table I saw the happy hour menu and asked if I can place an order as I waited for our table, the girl at the front said our table was almost ready and I could order with our server. My daughter, niece and I were then seated by 6:50PM. I asked the hostess to please send server as I'd like to order from happy hour menu, she said she is sending him over. 7:25pm our server finally arrived. I asked if I could order from the happy hour menu even though it is 7:25pm because it took close to 45 minutes to get a server. He argues with me, said no it is 7:25 pm, happy hour ends at 7pm. I said I understand but I tried to order since the moment I arrived, his response was, I don't know what to tell you, you need to order from the regular menu. As the rest of my party ordered their drinks and food, it was my turn to order. I was about to order when the server grabbed the menu from my hands walked back into the restaurant and I never got the chance to order. I stood up and walked into restaurant to ask the server to return to take my personal order as well as my daughter's and niece's orders. I ordered nachos with shredded beef, no tomatoes and no onions and a Chile Colorado burrito no rice and ordered the girls cheeseburgers and fries. After about 20 minutes, our drinks arrived. My friends ordered margaritas and to our surprise was served a margarita in a broken jagged edge glass, see picture. We are beyond mortified that this establishment clearly served a beverage to us with dangerous glassware. Once again asked for server, who took 15 minutes to finally show. I pointed it out and he apologized, took the glass and stated he would bring her a fresh drink. Note-she originally ordered a mango margarita which is orange, server returned with a regular margarita! They definitely have terrible customer service skills. It is now 8:10pm when my food arrives and seriously my nachos were full of diced onions!!!!! Now my appetite is gone and I am beyond annoyed, I'm livid at this point. I ask for the manager, Juan appears at our table by 8:30pm. I introduce myself, shake his hand and simply asked him to please hear me out before speaking, he responds, no problem, my job is to listen. I start to tell him how my visit began with the happy hour ordering fiasco, which I was 10 seconds into explain, he now starts arguing with me that it was already 7:25pm and couldn't, I put my hand up and said I asked you to please not to speak until I was finished. He stopped talking and finished telling him my concerns point by point. His response was he understood and then stood there in silence. I am so over this restaurant I asked him to bring our bill. He was quick to bring us the bill 5 minutes, record time for the service we've experienced. However within the 5 minute wait, my friend jumps and says did you see that rat, we all jumped and watched 2 rats run passed us. Now I'm sick to my stomach and disgusted Our bill was a little over 200.00 which is very little in comparison to what we usually spend on a Friday night, I just gave server my card and asked to please hurry. Surprise it took 2 minutes. As I was signing the credit receipt, he brazenly states please don't forget to tip...WTF. I turned and started to walk out as fast as I can and as I got to the front, I approached Juan, manager and told him they have rats, his response, no, it's ok, they are only mice!!!!! Beware of this restaurant, they serve glassware that could cause major injuries, the service absolutely is nonexistent, management needs not be the manager, staff needs to be either trained in customer service and time management or fired, and more importantly this restaurant should be shut down by the health department. If there were rats running around, what does the kitchen have where they store food and cook?!! I had no choice but to choose 1 star, their grade in my eyes and my parties eyes is an FFF read more

The party at the table next to us were seated after us and already received their food (they had a different waitress). Our waiter never came back to check on us. We had to ask the other waitress about our food. She finally brought it out and our food was cold. She offered to remake it. I declined because I didn't want to wait even longer. They got my son's order wrong and my husband's plate came out even later (his plate was hot, so they must've forgotten to put his order in). Our waiter was still nowhere to be found. Not pleased with this place at all. First pulling in we were pleasantly surprised at the sign out front saying kids eat free. We sit down order our foods and drinks. The kids came or first -we ordered them chicken strips and fries- the chicken was still raw. Then came mine and my husbands food. The sour cream and guacamole on my taco bowl tasted sour and old. His food came with everything he said he didn't want so we sent them back. Let me start by saying I usually love this place. But went there tonight for dinner. We sat down at 6:20. Waited 15 min to get our drink order. Server took forever to bring drinks to us. She apologized and then said, "I'm going to drop off the other drinks and I'll be right back to take your order." She never came back. Thirty minutes later manager asked if he could take our menus. I then told him we haven't ordered. I told him we were leaving and we paid for our drinks and left. Manager apologized for being short staffed but didn't comp us or offer us a coupon to come back next time. I think this is what angered me the most.
