Sunday evening dinner with the family. Love MEXICAN! The service and staff are phenomenal and very friendly. The chips and salsa....delish. I couldn't believe how quickly our food came out! I ordered chicken enchiladas and they were pretty good, it came with rice and beans. Other family members had burritos and fajitas. Lots of great food for the price.

Azul Tequila definitely didn't leave me blue. A bit tipsy, but not at all blue. I'm currently writing this review while under the influence of a huge Dos XX, so bear with me. My Hudson family and I decided to eat out this evening. We were going to grill, but a huge storm is bearing down and the wind was howling. Me being from Southern California makes me intrigued with these weather anomalies. I get to experience what I have only seen on the news (when I was watching the news). So it's exciting to me. My only worry is my windshield getting busted by golf ball size hail. It cost me a thousand bucks the last time I had to replace it. I've been to Azul on a number of occasions. This is the first time though since I've been on the Yelp soapbox. So this review will be an amalgam of my previous visits. Every visit to Azul has been a fantastic experience. Almost immediately when seated chips and salsa make their appearance on the table. Drinks arrive shortly thereafter. I haven't had a bad, or anything close to being a subpar meal at this restaurant. The standard Mexican fare is American authentic and fresh. American authentic; noun, adjective Mexican food tailored to American taste. "The silly gringo thinks our food is authentic Mexican food. He asked if it was American authentic. I told him si so he'd give me a good tip". Decent prices, good food, and cold beer. What more could an authentic American ask for. Quick Tip: I'm warning you, be careful if you order a large beer. It's large. Grande to be more exact. You'll feel it's effects for quite some time. You're reading the effect it had on me. By now you should be asking yourself, why am I still reading this? Go get something to eat.

Burrito poblano and house marg served up in my fancy margarita glass!

Yum yum! We came here for cinco de mayo (and just because Mexican is my FAVORITE). The food was great as usual (beef chimi and burrito fiesta), but I discovered my new favorite....the skinny margarita! Holy crap was this thing delicious! Not too sweet or sour. Absolute perfection. Service was great as usual.

A tasty margarita in a cool glass!

The food is always good & reliable.... The staff is always friendly, but mostly get it via DoorDash.

Sorry, but playing Mexican music and having bland salsa to go with average chips does not make you a Mexican restaurant

Not entirely certain how its possible to make "mexican" dishes that lack so much flavor. Just not good food. Avoid.

I was plesantly surprised by the food at Agave Kitchen in downtown Hudson!…read more I visited on a Thursday for lunch and the restaurant was pretty empty. There was a group of 4 of us so we were able to sit wherever we'd like to. Our server was very friendly, prompt, and helpful with our menu questions. We ordered a smattering of items but the most notable; table fries, cowboy corn bites, and the legendary nachos. All other items we ordered (chicken and shrimp tacos and a burger) were all good, just not as notable as the others. Regarding portions, they are HUGE! We should have shared entrees but took home leftovers instead. Overall, I'd recommend trying Agave Kitchen and I look forward to visiting again to try more menu items!

If not fish or shrimp it's shredded meats unless you order an up-charge item. The chips taste really fresh and crunchy with a non-grease taste. A little salt and they were perfect. The queso and salsa are all really good alone, but we mixed ours and it was even better. The shrimp tacos had a little too much of the bacon because it really over powered the shrimp. Once I pulled off some bacon the tacos had a really good flavor and kick. The fish tacos have a fried fillet that tasted really good but needed a little salt. The filling and sauces on the fish tacos were really tasty. I would buy bottles of that green guacamole sauce. Our favorite item of the meal was the chorizo egg rolls. These have a really nice crunchy exterior and a cheesy spicy interior. The chorizo mixed with the cheesy center was so good. I doubt you'll be disappointed if you order these and share them with the table. The service would be my only area of suggested improvement of this establishment. The sign up front says "Please wait to be seated" but then once bartender saw us she told us to "just find a seat and someone will bring menus shortly". Nobody came to our table for 5-6 minutes. The rest of the service wasn't much better. Lot of waiting for help or acknowledgment. Once we were done eating we had to search out our waitress to get our check. We would return to try other items, but maybe be more demanding of service.

My friends and I visited here for a part of my birthday celebration as we have talked about this…read moreplace before so I wanted to at least give it a shot. Overall the food was okay, and I intentionally avoided most dishes under the fuertes section not only because they were pricey but also because I wanted to see how much care they put into dishes that customers probably relatively order less, so I ordered quite a few dishes under the para la mesa section. In terms of highlight, the best dish in my opinion was actually the pistachio tres leches. The milk was definitely there, and there was a good amount of pistachio flavor immersed into the cake. I thought that texturally it worked very well, too, because the softness of the cake provided a good contrast with the pistachio bits on the top. The esquites were great as well, with the tajin crema providing both a sense of creaminess and just a tiny bit of spice, and the manchego cheese giving flavor. The baja fish tacos contained a good amount of white fish and the chipotle crema added flavor. Personally I liked the fact that the brisket tacos had a good amount of smoked brisket meat, but my friend who ordered the dish didn't enjoy it because she didn't think the salsa was flavorful enough, which I could understand but disagreed with. Other dishes were leaning towards okay to meh, such as the papas machas, which had fried yukon potatoes containing very good crispy texture but way too salty flavor, especially if the potatoes were tiny and had a lot of oil at the bottom. The brussel sprouts did not have enough lime vinaigrette so it was practically flavorless, especially since it was probably deep fried without additional seasoning, which also caused some pieces to be hard to chew. The grilled snapper itself was almost flavorless, and relied on the salsa for flavor completely. I didn't understand it because it looked like it was grilled in achiote, so I assumed it followed the tikin xic dish in Yucatán Mexico, with pickled red onions and all. Maybe the achiote paste didn't have enough spices in it for marinading, or maybe the time wasn't enough. Even though as of now I wouldn't actively recommend this establishment to others yet, I would still like to visit myself to try some dishes that my other friends have hyped up, namely the enchiladas de camote and verdes.

Luckily we got there in time and I got a Chilango margarita and some nachos. The margarita was DELICIOUS, not too sour but flavorful. The nachos were pretty good: the toppings were well distributed and lots of flavor but I didn't love the combo of beans and sour cream, but I guess both are authentic to Mexico. We sat in the patio and enjoyed the beautiful lake view as we caught up, which was great, and I plan to come back! Pro tip: they validate parking! Turn on Thomas and pull into the beach club underground parking and bring your parking ticket to the restaurant for validation.

Stopped in here after walking around Stillwater on a sunny Sunday. After having a beer on the water and a long walk, I decided it was time for some tacos. This place was absolutely packed, but as a solo traveler I was seated fairly quickly at a small table inside. Fun colorful and tropical decor. I ordered the Shrimp Tacos and a Margarita. The mason jar marg was salty and refreshing and the tacos were HUGE. The rice was cooked perfectly, the shrimp were large and had a nice pop, and overall the flavors were balanced! A little acid here, a little something savory there, a tangy sauce! I slammed two of the tacos and brought the third one home for my partner to try. Fun filling stop on a beautiful day!
