This is the best sit down Mexican restaurant in Centralia/Chehalis and maybe even the Olympia area. I come here at least once a week and am never disappointed. Give them try if you're in the area. Avoid Casa Ramos and just come here. read more

Stopped here on Friday night. Nothing special, same food like other Azteca places. Same type of service. We ate and continue our trip south.

A little below average. Service was slow, not that they were lazy or anything, staff stayed busy, probably understaffed. Food was edible, nothing remarkable. I've cooked better at home, but I've cooked worse too.prices were on par and I left full and my wife took a box home. I guess the biggest take away was that they gave me two cherries on my Shirley temple. read more

This place is amazing! I'm 36, and I have been going to this place my entire life. My mother ate here when she was pregnant with me. The service is always so friendly and welcoming. The food is delicious and I've never had anything close to comparison of their chips and salsa. Absolutely the best around. Drinks are fabulous and the staff is amazing. You won't regret coming here. 5 Stars for Lewis County Don't laugh...Centralia has some great restaurants. Azteca (which is not apart of the Azteca chain) has had my business for roughly 20 years. I almost ALWAYS get the Deluxe Chicken Enchilada. Super yummy! Chips are tasty and salsa is great. My favorite part is the wait staff. They are soooo friendly! Not the sit at your table and talk to you while you try to eat in peace, like the smile, instance gratification, no spitting in your food type. Every once in a while I hit a slow day but it's rare. The same staff has been there for years, one lady at least 20+, another guy 8+ years, and so on. Great stop in Centralia! read more

This is not related to the Azteca chain, it is obvious by the different logos, but this is one of the worst restaurants I've ever been to. Everything looked and tasted like it was frozen or prepackaged, and the fajita filling you order has this sauce they claim they make from scratch, but i took one bite of the meat and onions and i automatically thought Chinese or Thai. Excellent food! I love the fajita sauce, it's a unique homemade family recipe and you won't find it anywhere else. The salsa is also delicious. After experiencing the taste sensations of La Tarasca, lunch here was a disappointing mistake. Even for chain Mexican restaurants, their interpretation of standard tourist "Mexican" food items is pretty awful. The super burrito lunch WAS stuffed appropriately with relatively tender chunks of chicken but was lukewarm and unappetizing. I've never "tasted" such bland beans and rice; even the liberal addition of salsa didn't improve things. Cheerful waitstaff. I'd pass on this place if there's another alternative. read more

1st time here very good, this time a big disappointment. The best part was the chips and salsa, but it ended there. Chicken nachos had, well no chicken. Pollo al cream came with chicken way overlooked and cream sauce was the consistency of water. Sent pollo back and ordered beef relleno and pork burrito. It came in a soup/water bath. Not returning here sorry to say. Hopefully for them it was an off night, but not worth gambling another meal here for me. Staff was polite. read more

I find Azteca really great. Unfortunately, the one time me and mom ate their together for her birthday, there was hair in my food. But the upside was I got a whole new plate of food, since I had eaten half of mine when I found the hair, they gave me a free drink and more salsa and chips while I waited, and at the end of the service the bill was half off on both our meals, my drink was free, my moms was half off, they gave us free guacamole and sourcream, and they gave us four free chocolate mint bars (the tiny ones). They said sorry multiple times, I felt that they really meant it, even if they were kissing up so we wouldn't do something bad to them, like give a bad review, overall it was a good experience, and I continue to eat there. I don't know if they do this same service for everyone with something wrong with their food or because it was my moms birthday. But I thoroughly enjoyed it.. =] It's only a shame that they're closing down..... the owner told us she just doesn't want to do it anymore.... I really like that restaurant, it's very family like..... and we have to drive a very long ways to get to another one, I can walk to Azteca from my home. read more

Very clean and bright, obviously just purchased by Azteca. Was Casa Ramos. Appetizer was slow to come, but yummy. That's where it went down hill. Took 40 min to receive two of our three plates. Both meals had officially cold beans and rice along with just barely warm main food. We were given a low-effort apology and my meal was another 10 min in waiting. My beans were cold. All three plates were tacos. Only ONE plate, came with the correct corn tortillas. I'm guten intollerant and mine were wheat flour. Instead of waiting for a new plate to be made, we just asked for a stack of corn tortillas. These ended up being the hottest things delivered. All this time since back 50 min previous ordering our drinks.....which were now long empty....nobody even once asked to refill our drinks. I also had to flag down a busser to get our check so we could leave that place. Sad........ read more

I am new to the area and love good mexican food. the food at azteca was good and the service was good, however, please check your, bill. I am a senior citizen and I always check my dinner check, they had all the items written out and priced on the bill, with the total written at the bottom. the problem the total at the bottom was more than 10.00 over the actual bill. I politely asked the cashier if she would check the bill and she did, and apologized, for the over charge. I hope it was an honest mistake, and I would have been a regular customer. But I think, I will keep looking for a good mexican food restaurant. read more

I love Mexican food, but I am allergic to onions. Oh the humanity! So, I'm understandably wary when it comes to trying new Mexican restaurants. However, I was delighted by my experience at Azteca. My brother and I stopped in on a Saturday night at about 7pm. We were seated right away, although the restaurant was fairly busy. The wait staff was very friendly, before we could so much as say "boo!" we had a basket of chips and salsa on the table as well as water. Moreover, when I placed my order the staff went above and beyond to ensure that my food was onion free. As for the order, my brother and I ordered the chicken, black bean and corn empanadas - they were alright. I ordered the chicken adobado. It was pretty tasty, but the spice mixture was pretty weak. My brother ordered the carne asada. He too felt that it wasn't spicy enough, but be did enjoy the roasted jalopeno it was served with. What completely made the meal for both of us was dessert. The sopapillas were ridiculously good. A generous portion of the crispy tasty goodness was served up with ice cream, honey (or possibly corn syrup), chocolate sauce and whipped cream. Both of us would return to Azteca for the sopapillas alone. read more

Great place to sip margaritas, eat chips and salsa, and enjoy some americanized mexican fair. I love it here. I recommend the flautas, pollo ala crema, and just about anything really. They have a great chocolate mousse cake for dessert- and if you don't like the fact that this small FAMILY restaurant turns people away when they have had a long day- don't go there. They have no hours posted because they close when it is slow or overly rough. I love em' all like family! Great place! read more

This is the best restaraunt you will find in Lewis and Thurston counties. To start, the chips are warm and the salsa is absolutely amazing. The wait staff is friendly and helpful, and the food is wonderful. You will not find better Picadillo anywhere in Washington (unless you are at my house)! read more

I love this place. On a side note: I just learned today that they aren't part of the Azteca Restaurant chain. The staff are all so nice and helpful. I like the seating with the tall, private booths. I haven't tried everything here, but the chips and salsa are just right. I am so impressed with their service. I picked up a to-go order there and forgot to grab my salsa on the way out. I called them and they delivered it to me a couple of blocks away!! I must say I am quite impressed with these guys :-) read more
