Tacos
Debora F.

Authentic Mexican restaurant that's family friendly. Ordered the 20 mixed tacos for just $52. A great deal for the generous portions and variety. The tacos were excellent, with a delicious mix of steak, chicken, pork, and more. The homemade sauces were fresh, flavorful, and really elevated the meal. It gets busy on weekends, but the wait is absolutely worth it!

Parking on the side streets or across the street in a lot but you have to pay the meter. great food ! Tacos are always my go to! Their agua fresca is my fav- mango is always amazing. Tacos are always savory, packed with meat of your choice for a great price. Service is always good, they're constantly checking if you need anything. ambiance is very chill, laid back. great for a quick bite or casual lunch/ dinner.

Azteca Deli in Westbury is another excellent authentic Mexican restaurant. You may have seem my past posts about other Mexican food establishments in Westbury. I've also reviewed Azteca in the past but all those times I was picking up food. Today I finally stopped by for lunch inside the Deli/restaurant. The sitting down experience totally kicks ass!!! I love the vibes here. Fast paced happy Mexican music called Norteno blasts from the speakers above. The Aztec themed colors and artworks are on the walls. There are gods myth and legends in this place as the very friendly owner spoke to us about less known Mexican travel destinations. The complimentary starter appetizers of sliced cucumbers, radish, and Tortilla chips show off the authenticity of this Mexican restaurant. We ordered Birira Tacos, Pancita (menudo) tripes soup, and a Chucharrone Guisado which is a stewed simmer down deep fried pork served with rice and beans with green sauce. The hotsauces, salsa, pickled onions, and condiments are so good here. We had these $7 huge drinks of Horchata as well as Jamaica(Sorel) very delicious and generously presented. The festive Mexican music here adds happy touch to the delicious experience. As a local resident, parent, and Realtor® I'm grateful for these authentic ethnic food scene. A casual gem with authentic Mexican food. The service is good and the food delicious. They even have a little deli with Mexican items for sale like sodas, juices, packaged baked goods. I would definitely return. I can't wait to try something different.

I love this place, recently discovered them and so happy I did. Everything I've tried is amazing, I can't stop eating there. The tacos, gorditas, hurraches and tortas!!

Today was our first time coming here and it was on a whim since the place next door wasn't open yet for our Manhonadas. Ordered chicken Flautas, roasted Chiles, and a Lengua Burrito with no rice. The food was PHENOMENAL! The burrito will last like 3 meals, and the flautas were so so so good and fresh. We will definitely come back!

Worst place to go. If you want the worst customer service come here. We waited 30 minutes to order food. We received the food after an hour, and they didn't even Apologize.

I've been to Baci next door several times and never realized this restaurant was where it was! There is a free smallish parking lot in front as the lot is shared with the other stores in the strip mall that it's located in. I arrived around 12:45pm and was lucky enough to find ONE spot remaining. When I left around 2:45pm, there were a lot more available spots. Upon entering, I just sat where my friend was sitting. It looks like you can pick anywhere to sit and eventually someone will come over to take your order. All the wait staff were very nice and patient with us, as I was indecisive with what I wanted to order; everything looked so good! To order, there was a QR code on the table that you can scan and then browse the menu on your phone. A bit random but I really appreciated the bag hooks that were on the side of the table! I ended up ordering a Grilled Shrimp Quesadilla and my friend ordered a Regular Margarita and a Carne Asada Burrito. We were both very happy with our choices! Flavorful and fresh, my quesadilla was the perfect size and my friends burrito was pretty filling that she had to pack the rest to go. There is also a clean and spacious bathroom in the back if needed. Credit cards are accepted and they can split the bill if needed. We will be returning!

I was headed to another Mexican restaurant But the brightly colored windows which were painted for thanksgiving made me decide to stop. Inside it. My granddaughter and I were the only customers. I pick up a menu on the way to sitting down. There was an oil smell which made me think their tank was just filled and maybe had a leak. I sat for a few minutes and was just about to leave when someone came to take my order. We shared chicken enchiladas with rice, beans, and a small salad. It was actually decent until I bit into a chicken bone. This is a complete turn off for me. And it's unfortunate because the enchiladas had good flavor. Nothing unusual about the rice and beans. I asked for water to drink. In my world that means a glass of ice water. Instead I got a bottle from Costco. Would I go back? Probably not. There are too many Mexican restaurants in the area who's food I like better.

As you can see I'm first to find this place... and didn't hesitate to be the only Griingo in a true blue.. well you get the point.. this is an authentic Mexican place! Yes, when I walked in the staff were dining at a table and no one was @ the counter. Yes the girl finished her food a bit before getting up to help me.. in fact they all looked at me like they assumed I would likely leave.. why would I?.. and no she didn't wash hands before serving me. Did I leave.. Heck no. This made it more authentic, real deal Mexican, not all Yelpwashed. lol So I ordered a few things but stayed simple. Tacos, burrittos etc. Nothing stood out as all too different. Nothing seemed fake. It was just good. Would I come back? Well, If I was passing through, and craved a taco maybe. Maybe I would. Bad Business- Don't take reservations if you can't handle them and won't honor them!!…read more Clearly Cinco De Mayo is going to be a busy day for any Mexican- Cuisine Restaurant. Considering this restaurant has the holiday for a name you'd think they'd at least be prepared! It's not their fault they are a small restaurant, but the manager has something to learn about customer service. We had a 7pm reservation for 2ppl. We came in about 6:47 hoping to beat the other 7pms knowing they might be a little backed up. We walked in to a very crammed busy front area and a man who seemed to be the manager/host walking around very frantically. I think he should have had a host/host for a day this busy. I also noticed right away about 8 people behind the bar. Any restaurant with good organization doesn't have the servers making their own drinks on a day as busy as this! Anyway the host came up to us after a couple minutes and we checked in, he made a point to say we were early which we knew, we didn't expect to sit early. He said he was a little backed up, that was a huge understatement. We then proceeded to wait crammed against the bar and the wall, the wall also noticeabley smelt bad like when someone cleans with dirty mop water (If you've worked in the restaurant industry ifykyk). From there I could see the reservations which were out in the open on the hostess stand. I saw our 7pm reservation along with one or two others and 2 7:30's. Meanwhile none of these tables were reserved or ready. Every table was being sat at and there was a man ahead of us waiting at the bar, I should have noticed from the frustrated look on his face that we should just leave. A couple came in behind us as a walk in and he told them about 25 minutes, they waited. Another group of 2 also got told 25 mins and left. At this point it's about 7:15 and we're still waiting for our 7pm. Then a women comes in and asks about a group of 5-6, he tells her uhhh im not sure about 30-45 mins. I keep thinking to myself this estimates are so off. The man from the other couple waiting at the bar actually tried to follow her out and tell her it wasn't worth waiting because that wasn't a real estimate, but she didn't hear him. The front is becoming exttreeeeemely crowded and uncomfortable with all the people this man has waiting in this small area. Mind you all this man who I believe to be the manager did this whole time is walk around in circles and visibly count the people waiting as if it should reassure us he's working on it. Now it's about 7:25 (25 minutes after our reservation and almost 40 minutes of waiting bc we came in early). The best and most disrespectful part happens. A woman comes in and asks for a walk in of 4, this happens 1 inch behind me and the manager tells her a few minutes. a FEW minutes??? I think to myself is this guy really gonna do what I think he is. I'd understand maybe if we were a walk in, but we were a reservation. I see a table of three getting ready to pay and he goes to the woman who had just walked in and says I have a table paying right now just give me a minute. I turn to him as we're arm and arm and say, "excuse me are we not going to get the next available table??" He literally with no apology only says, "Well thats a four, your only a two, I can't give you a four," to which I replied "we are a reservation waiting 30 minutes and that is a walk in that JUST walked in" to which he said " I can't do that". If he can't do that maybe he shouldn't have taken reservations or planned ahead!!! Mind you most of the bigger tables were 2 tops pushed together, so he probably just didn't leave room to adjust the tables. Regardless I had spent the last 40 minutes looking around and see a table of 6 with only 2 people sitting the whole time, nothing on the table but water and chips, so this same manager who completely disregarded our reservation and refused to seat our 2 at a 4 top sat 2 ppl of a party of 6, without anyone else in their party there and in turn wasted that whole space for over 40 minutes. To make things worse this man didn't apologize or even offer as much as a drink at the bar for waiting, when I told him it was bad business he raised his voice over the crowd of people he had waiting to say " I'm sorry you feel that way" That alone should show that he has no business sense. I was speaking at a normal tone discreetly and he decided to raise his voice and bring attention to everyone in that area there was a problem. I'm not sure if the man we encountered is the manager, owner or simply a host, but I now see why the yelp reviews are so low. I wish I looked here first instead of just at the Google Reviews that are more easily inflated. All I have to say is I love Mexican food and if I had a good experience I would have been a regular customer, but based on the looks of the faces at the people at the tables, I'm not sure the experience would have been good at all.
