My husband spent $200 on 2 arrangements. At first glance in the vase looked amazing. About 2 hours after they were delivered the Hydrangeas started to wilt. This morning they were completely wilted. Today it is clear these flowers were not fresh. I called to complain. I was told that hydrangeas are finicky and I can just cut them on a slant put them back in the water and they will plump back up. Let me start by saying I have never been very lucky with fresh floral arrangements. No matter what I did they always seem to die so quickly and I felt so badly because I know how costly they could be. I received a beautiful floral arrangement for Mother's Day on Saturday from Aztec and it is as beautiful today as when I received it. Caroline was a sweetheart! Not only was she extremely kind but also very helpful. I called Monday morning to have flowers delivered to my best friend at her nearby office as a surprise. Truly disappointed with Aztec Florist. I spent close to $100 to send flowers to my daughter. The picture on the website included beautiful flowers and a great silver vase. What showed up was an arrangement that could have been purchased at a gas station in a dollar store glass vase. I emailed the owners with pictures and asked them to help me resolve the matter. That was a week ago. There's been no response. Not only was the product less than acceptable but they clearly don't care. Thanks guys! read more

I walked in to the shop and was wow'd by the feel of the shop. I spoke with Carolyn and told her what I was looking for. She wrote down every detail, adding a little bit here and there to make things pretty and told me what my price would be. Now, I was floored because these flowers are for my wedding day and everyone around the area (multiple florists) had made the price jump 6x more than what I should really be paying, all because they're for a wedding. She explained the dynamics of wedding pricing and I couldn't agree more. I was thrilled with the price that I was told and I plan to go back in the next day or two to put my deposit down. I have known Carolyn since I was 16. Her work was taught by her mother Flo, sometimes I called her Mon. When I need flowers I go there, either delivered, wired, or by me. Roses for those we went to school with, Roses for people who deserve them. I go in when I can, I don't visit much because she is busy, but I trust her with my life, that's why We Are Notre Dame Alumni, and she like me learned proper business from her father, whose picture is a Legacy and Reminder! " remember what I taught you! " She is like a sister, that's why we are family, and she treats her customers like family! She started in a small store on Grand Avenue in the 90's, now almost 20 years later she is still in business. I ordered a prom wristlet corsage for my son's girlfriend. I saw a specific one online and sent them a picture. I appreciated their honesty when they said they couldn't do a beaded bracelet because the bracelets tend to fall apart and they got too many complaints. I was disappointed but took their advice and abandoned the bracelet idea. I asked for ivory roses, greenery and baby's breath along with ivory ribbons coming out in all different directions INSTEAD OF the typical cheesy bow made with a shimmery see-through ribbon that I really don't like. It looks too cheap to me. I had someone else pick up the wristlet the day of the prom, and unfortunately it was all wrong. They gave me the ugly bow with the ugly see-through ribbon, and no ivory ribbons. Also the wristlet was TINY -- only about 4" long. It cost $30 which was pretty pricey for something so small that I didn't even like. It made me really sad to have to even show it to my son to give to his sweet girlfriend. All of the other girls in the group had fabulous wrist corsages and I sure wish I had asked around beforehand to see which florist they used. Unfortunately there was no time to call Aztec (they close at 4 -- even on a prom day which I find to be ridiculous -- how can people get there if they work full time?) and complain, and obviously it would've been impossible for them to fix it at that late time anyway. This is too bad since I live in the same town and always try to support local businesses whenever possible. Not going there again. read more

I had flowers delivered for Mother's Day, and asked for Lilacs to be included. Unfortunately, the lilacs were withered within one day. While the arrangement is beautiful with different flowers not just lilacs, my mom loves lilacs so that was the focal point which I requested. I have never had flowers die within a day of delivery. I should have been told that the lilacs were not fresh, and they would not last, and then I would have chosen a different flower. read more

I never write reviews but these guys are so awesome I will. So there is a story behind me ordering from Aztec. I sent a young lady flowers after our first date (yea, Im digging her). She absolutely loved them; posted them on Instagram and everything). The flowers I sent sat on her desk for almost two weeks and they remained pretty fresh. Today her boss came into her office and made the comment "Those flowers really are holding out. I hope the relationship last longer than the flowers". Can you say shoots fired! So I called the team at Aztec and told them what was said. What did they do, they sent an arrangement bigger and even more beautiful! I had called to order somethings for my girlfriend, and when I went to pick up the flowers they were closed even though I had a confirmed time to pick up the corsage.
