He never tried to oversell me on any part of the project, which I really appreciated, but he will give you his expert opinion when you ask for it - and I did, several times! He is big on communication and lets you know what is going to happen next. His crew did a very professional job of cleaning up the work spaces as we were living in the house when the renovation took place. I get soooo many compliments on both my kitchen and bathroom. I would would use them again on any other major project. I am very particular and pay attention to detail and Nick and his crew made sure I was happy.

Instead, he abandoned the job during my pregnancy and shortly after we had paid him more than $19,000, leaving unfinished work and subcontractor issues that needed correction. He informed our insurance company that the project was 98% complete, even though work remained unfinished and some work required correction. He later filed a civil lawsuit against us seeking payment that we dispute, including amounts we maintain had already been paid, mitigation payment, and amounts for work that was not completed. Before he abandoned the job, at his direction, we met his wife, Carmen Fimbres, at their bank to deposit a check payment. The check was processed, and we have documentation of that payment. The amount is nevertheless included in the money he is seeking from us. Communication was also difficult. He expected his calls to be answered immediately. On more than one occasion, after I returned his call, he spoke to me in a harsh, raised tone and said, "Do you have a problem with me?!" We are now dealing with the stress of an unfinished project and a lawsuit over money we believe was already paid. Based on our experience, we would not recommend Nicholas Sanchez Jr. or NS Construction.

She explained everyone else was out of the office but that she would make sure someone would call me. No one ever called me. Probably didn't want to mess around with a small job I guess. ($1200.00) If this is any indication of their professionalism probably better off they never called. I would stay away from this company.

Baja Air installed our brand new air conditioner while a subcontractor with our general contractor…read more After they initially installed it, the city inspector found several problems with installation. They came out again, and there was still a problem. It took 2 times for them to be "up to code" on a brand new air conditioner. This was in the summer. Then, winter arrives, and the heat does not work. Baja Air would not answer their phones or return my calls. To this day they have not returned my call. I finally called a trustworthy company, who came and fixed the heat - Baja Air never installed the heating wires to the thermostat. I've gotten nowhere with the general contractor to refunded for the cost to fix the heat. And I can't even get a hold of Baja Air. Horrible. . .
