We bought our home and it had been pre-inspected by peace of mind. At first glance the inspection…read moreseemed thorough; filled with several photos and brief descriptions of what should be fixed, and the inspection as a whole is very well organized. It gave us the confidence we needed to place a really strong offer on our house. When we got into the house however, we quickly found many issues. The oven did not work. In the inspection documentation it stated that the oven was working and was heated up. If they had actually done that, they would have found that it had a broken igniter which causes the house to fill with gas. Since moving in we've had multiple services that have needed to be done - expected maintenance of owning a new house. Each of the professionals we've had come to complete these services, including new oven install and plumbing, they've told us the same thing: "Wow, I can't believe this wasn't caught in your inspection.", "This is definitely not up to code." are among the phrases we've heard repeatedly. It's getting tiring to hear that after having one thing after another need to be fixed. They did not do a thorough job with our inspection and I would not recommend their services. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that I have heard our city is pretty strict on their guidelines, but that shouldn't excuse this negligence. The oven issue could have seriously caused us harm and we were naive to put our trust in peace of mind.

After inspecting the property, he reviewed his findings with myself and my buyer for over an hour with photos and video. I will be recommending this company to all of my buyers from now on!

Told him we were looking for new front step railings. He gave me a general quote over the phone based on some photos I sent over which we found reasonable (about $650). We then asked about custom work and send some additional photos over. Said no problem and gave us a quote of $1300 (in the meantime they had sent someone by to take measurements). He originally told me they were three weeks out. I told him if there was anyway to get the work done in two that would be amazing. Said they would try but couldn't guarantee. They showed up today (almost two weeks earlier than originally quoted...when does that happen?!?!) with the custom railings and had them installed in under and hour and a half by very nice and professional guys. Would highly recommend this company!

JG was prompt on getting back to us right away with an estimate. We then spoke to Amanda who helped us figure what we needed and book us a time and day. The owner Jimmy arrived with Oscar to take care of us that day. They gave us a text about a 1/2 hr before that they were in route. Jimmy was very friendly and explained everything as he was working, showing us videos of the inside of the vents as he started cleaning them. They worked promptly to look around the house to start working. They first covered all the vents and brought in their equipment. Each Individual vent was cleaned. Th package included the dryer vent and furnace but we paid extra to get the bathroom fan cleaned inside and thru the outside. They cleaned up and were done in about 1.5 hrs for our 2600'sq ft house. I would definitely recommend them for any duct work you have. They were very prompt, professional and have great customer service!

Let me spare you the trouble, look no further than TJ Radon. I reached out to 6 different companies…read morein the area for quotes. TJ had not only the most competitive quote by a long shot, but they are the ONLY company I could find guaranteeing post-mitigation levels below 2.0. The EPA says you should consider mitigating with levels between 2.0-4.0, and every other company guarantees merely 2.7. That would have been enough, but Tom, John and the whole team (electrician Michael and test coordinator Sam) are also exceptionally kind and professional. They were utmost patient with me during my 11th-hour indecision about where the system should be placed, and patiently weighed the pros and cons with me. They were flexible with scheduling the post-test for when we were out of town so we could close the windows without baking. (We don't have A/C.) Our initial level was 5.7, their system got it down to 0.6. It is unintrusive and quiet. The only reason I can possibly see to use anyone else is that TJ Radon is booked over a month out. For good reason. If you can wait, you won't regret it.
