We called Lifetime Builders for a free consultation and quote, and to see if perhaps some of the summer storms had caused the damage. Sergey came to our house to check out the damage both exterior and interior, and we set an appointment for Mike and Sergey to return to meet with the insurance adjuster so they could help us work with our insurance company to ensure that the entire roof was covered. The adjuster found evidence of severe weather damage to the roof, and Lifetime Builders placed me on the schedule for installation for the very next week. The crew arrived early on the day they were scheduled. The men were very friendly, and they worked hard all day. The first day, they did most of the removal of the old roof and installed weatherproofing for the new one. They did a phenomenal job on clean-up after the demo day, and they came back first thing the next morning and installed the new roof all within the second day. The workers left my yard looking just as good or better than before once finished with final cleanup. We had a new roof within 2 weeks of calling Lifetime Builders, and Lifetime Builders helped us work with our insurance company to ensure that every expense except our deductible was covered and paid for. They even helped with organizing the repair of the drywall ceiling inside. We could not be happier with our new roof and new ceiling in the bathroom. I would recommend Lifetime Builders to anyone looking for exterior work for their home around the Twin Cities.

Friends recommended Legacy Restoration, and our estimator Michael Stanford immediately identified hail damage and began working with our State Farm agent. What followed was a six-month battle we never expected. State Farm denied our claim twice -- first calling it "normal wear and tear," then offering only mismatched patch shingles that would have violated building codes and reduced our home's value. Legacy refused to accept it. They brought in Robb Johnson -- a 30-year roofing veteran -- who personally documented everything and sent State Farm a comprehensive evidence file. Denied again. Still, Legacy didn't give up. Things got dire when State Farm threatened to drop our homeowners insurance entirely unless we paid $30,000 out of pocket -- by February 2026, in a Minnesota winter. We were also trying to close a HELOC that required active insurance. We were truly stuck. Robb kept hounding State Farm -- calling and emailing 2-3 times a week, coaching us on exactly how to communicate with our agent and adjuster. Within one week of our HELOC closing deadline, State Farm approved a full roof replacement. We didn't even need the arbitrator. Legacy worked quickly to get us the invoicing we needed to keep our insurance active and close our loan on time. We were likely the first home in Minnesota to get a new roof in March 2026 -- and the crew installed it beautifully in a single day. DeAngelo Funches (our Service Rep) and Jonathan Sanchez (our project manager) were exceptional throughout the build. If you need roofing, siding, windows, or doors -- especially if you're fighting an insurance claim -- call Legacy Restoration. They will fight for you like family. I am 100% certain we would not have gotten this roof covered without them. I cannot thank this team enough. Our deepest thanks to Michael Stanford, Robb Johnson, DeAngelo Funches, Jonathan Sanchez, and the entire Legacy Restoration team. You saved us -- and we will never forget it.

They went into detail saying they are following up on properties that experienced storm damage, when in reality they are attempting to storm chase. The lack of researching who you are cold calling tells me your level of professionalism. I would not recommend a company that is just chasing storms to get work. Instead let someone call you based on your work. That's a $1500 fine by the way.

Our Field Manager, Jeremiah, came to the house to give us an estimate for a new roof and gutter guards. Our roof was in need of a serious overhaul. Jeremiah explained the entire roofing process, materials and why certain things would need to be done certain ways - which left me confident that the estimate was accurate, fair and exactly what I would need to get the job done right. He even brought multiple single sample colors so I could pick the perfect one for the house and then got us on his calendar within A WEEK. The materials arrived on time and were put in a place that was convenient for us. The Metro crew that did the roof was amazing. They were SO FAST! The entire house roof and garage were done in ONE DAY. I couldn't believe it. The workers were great - nice and considerate. They did an amazing job cleaning up as well. We haven't found a single nail or piece of trash larger than shingle dust after they were done cleaning up the job. Two weeks later they came out and cleaned out the gutters and put gutter guards on. Done quickly and on time. AWESOME! I can't say enough what great work Metro and Jeremiah did for us! I'm now not worried every time it rains that our roof is gonna leak and knowing I don't have to clean out gutters ever again makes me so happy. Thanks Jeremiah and Metro!!

SAVE YOUR TIME, MONEY and UNNECESSARY WATER EXPOSURE TO YOUR FOUNDATION…read more Poor preparedness in estimating, poor customer service, poor follow through, zero results, held deposit for almost 4 months after demanding a refund. In late April of 2021 we contacted Sela to complete out gutter installation project on our newly acquired home. The estimate provided was given in early May. A guy came to take pictures from the ground from various angles and left (never did he get on a ladder to inspect the decking or fascia). The estimate provided came with pictures and markings of where the gutters would be placed and locations of downspouts. Upon signing the work contract and paying our $1,000 deposit, we were left in the dark in regards to an estimated start date. By July 2021 I had to reach out to find out what was going on with our installation. We were told with labor shortages it could be a little longer (not a problem, understandable). In September, we were informed of an install date of September 8, 2021. On Sept 9th we got an email from Gavin stating that the decking on our roof was set back too far in order for the T-Straps to connect to and they would need to fix this before the install can occur. With a wasted day of missing work, the install crew and materials had to leave. This was out of the scope of work they had originally estimated. This should have been discovered the very first day the estimator came out in April when he came to take measurements, pictures, etc. Had he actually gotten up on a ladder to observe the shingles and decking for proper install in April this would have saved months of wasted time and unnecessary/prolonged water exposure to our foundation. The fascia could have been built out during this time. This was the whole reason we needed gutters as we were getting water in our basement. Instead they show up with their crew only to realize they cannot complete the job until the fascia boards are built out. When I contacted Sela (Tom) to meet me at our home to discuss this, he didn't show up at our agreed upon date/time. This was now November (6 months later). I emailed Gavin to inform him we wanted our deposit back and we were told Tom would reach out. As of now, we still have not received our deposit back nor do we have gutters. Extremely disappointed with the lack of preparedness with properly estimating the job (a "typical homes condition" should not be assumed to be the condition of each property). These conditions were not concealed and a simple observation from using a ladder would have avoided this massive waste of time. I did speak to Tom today (2/4/22) to let him know and their secretary my extreme displeasure with Sela Gutter, and he assured my refund would get sent out Monday. We'll see. Almost a year later..

I'm very disappointed with Sela. A few years ago, they installed gutters on our architect-designed…read morehome that has cedar siding and trim. This year, the ice on our roof pushed off some of the gutters along with the decorative cedar 1x6 fascia. We brought in a contractor to look at the issue, and the framer indicated that the gutter installation should have used screws that were long enough to go well past the 1-inch thick decorative fascia (which is attached with finish nails) and into the solid lumber behind it. The screws that Sela used were barely longer than the 1-inch thick decorative fascia. As a result, the weight of the gutter along with the pressure from the ice pushed off some of the gutters and the fascia. Sela refuses to back their work and re-attach the gutters properly with screws of an appropriate length. Here's the question: If your house has vinyl siding and a vinyl fascia, is it OK to attach the gutters only to the vinyl fascia? This is an equivalent situation, and clearly Sela does not understand cedar construction. I'm very disappointed in their lack of professionalism and their refusal to back up their work.
