The Dr spent a lot of time testing in the beginning and showing the results of the tests but there were no plans to retest at the end if 20 sessions. The only thing that was repeated was a very subjective and unreliable survey rating aspects of her symptoms on a scale of 1-5. Dr Ross was sure that my daughters speech had improved when it was clear to all of us that it was no different or even worse that day. This was a huge waste of thousands of dollars.

It took my brain a while, so be patient if you don't see instant results. Dr. Ross continues to be engaging and helpful in our discussions and check-ins. It is clear to me she cares about her clients and is passionate about the work she does (as is everyone in the office). The staff are kind and it is clear they care about each other and the clients. The office is a little hard to find if you are using the googlemaps phone app. You should look for the driveway close to the train tracks then go to the left and down. There are designated parking spots.

He was told by the clinic it was "normal" and called a "dip". His dip never faded. The clinic ordered an MRI which shows only structural damage to appease him. He kept asking for help but no one believed or listened to him. He took his own life because of the callousness of the people who work there and Dr Brennan who refused to talk to me. Instead, he had his lawyer contact me. What does that tell you?? Look up the inventor of TMS and you will find that he also took his own life. Please do not go to this clinic or see this doctor. I was in my late twenties and had come face to face with my trauma and it's impact after years of just ignoring or disregarding my need to work through it all. I had never experienced Reiki before so, at first, I was cautious (of course) but then Claire connected with me in a way I've never felt more safe, more seen and more heard. After our first session, that was it, I knew I needed her energy guidance. I cannot recommend Claire enough if you are struggling in your purpose or in your relationships or if you just simply crave a deeper relationship with yourself. She is quite literally magic in human form for me.

I came here for a specialist, and I'm not going to say exactly what it was to maintain my privacy…read more But I was disappointed that the specialist for my treatment didn't do what I have seen other PTs perform online for people who suffer from the same condition. She also never explained what she was doing, and when I asked clarifying questions to learn more about each treatment, she acted irritated with me. She just wanted to get me in and out of there. I felt unwelcome. Trying out the treatment was very expensive for me because I have a high deductible plan, and I paid what I think is a lot of money for each session. I stopped going and am trying other treatments at home. The whole experience was so far from what I expected to have for something in the medical category. Felt more like the professional grade of cosmetology, as in a nail or hair salon. Wouldn't recommend. I got no relief from any treatment, not that my PT asked me how I felt about my experience or since my last visit.

I tend to be a private person. But without Dr. Schmidt-Hellerau's help, I would never have known the happiness I have in my life. It isn't just that she has helped me work through my problems-it is that I can now experience a level of joy and fulfillment I would have never known without her. I tear up thinking about my life now and how full it is. Seriously. I wouldn't have ever said I wasn't happy before-but its like seeing color for the first time. You just couldn't know you were seeing in black and white until you see that first burst of color. No therapy is necessarily easy. It is inherent in the human condition that we go over the same things again and again. Think of any difficulty you have and the question inevitably appears if you are reflective enough...Why do I keep doing this SAME thing over and over even though it causes me anxiety/pain/embarrassment etc. It is the work of therapy that you keep exploring hey-why AM I doing this again and again? So, yes therapy can be difficult in that way, because you can become frustrated with YOURSELF. It is a kind of work. But with Dr. Schmidt-Hellerau,it has also been deeply rewarding and pleasurable. It is rare to find someone who listens in the way she does. I felt she understood something so essential about me in the very first session. I have been to many different psychologists over the years. Nothing. even. compares. She is brilliant. I never felt intruded upon, she listened and heard what I needed. She understood what I was saying when I couldn't articulate it yet. I saw where I was living in fear and she helped me to be brave. And always, always, I knew her heart was in it. In her quiet, brilliant way she cleared a path for me to walk down. She never needed to impose, she never used her brilliance to blind, she cared in the most quiet way. Which is what I needed. You may need something else, and I bet she would know that, too. Two people in the field recommended Dr. Schmidt-Hellerau to me. I have some affiliation with the field so I was lucky. I know most people are not lucky in that way. This is why this private, happy person decided to write a review.
