When Dr. Mitchel Rose was referred to me several months ago, I thought I'd give it one more shot. I went to our first session with very low expectations, assuming this experience would be like all the others. Boy was I wrong! Dr. Rose was instantly credible and I found myself revealing things to him that first day that I've never told anyone. Dr. Rose is honest, empathetic, and a true master in his field. His approach is far more conversational than the norm. Like many in his profession, Dr. Rose is a great listener, but like so few, he is a brilliant adviser. Well, I just finished my 10(ish) series with Daphne, and I already miss her! I probably would have…read morekept going for forever, but Daphne was honest enough to tell me that she thought I had reached the full benefit of the rolfing series. (However, she did invite me back for tune-ups in the future, whenever I feel like I need them!). Overall, my body feels much more elongated and looser. I actually gained an inch or two in height, and even my mom would be proud of my posture now. My core is straighter and clothes fit better. My shoulders are even, and my right shoulder (chronic bursitis from playing competitive tennis) feels so much better than it used to. I honestly haven't had any issues with my shoulder, IT band, or headaches for awhile, and I'm attributing it to Daphne's mad skills. I just feel... healthy. I highly recommend rolfing and Daphne to just about everyone. After a few sessions, you will feel great!

This review is based on my one experience for accupuncture only…read more So I had my my first experience with accupuncture yesterday! I had never done it before so have nothing to compare it to but think I can be objective about the service at Cambridge Health which was very good. My accunpuncturist (Marilyn) was friendly and thorough in her questions prior to beginning. Marilyn clearly believes in the medicine of accupuncture and helping people which got through some of my cynicism. She made me feel really comfortable and made sure I didn't have any questions or qualms before starting. I actually don't have any physical issues (knock on the old wood) aside from weak ankles from sports but it turns out that it's best to have accupuncture before you have problems as a preventive health measure. The needles did not hurt (a few stung for a second) and I could actually feel stirrings in my ankles from the needles in my scalp! The appointment lasted about 90 minutes but flew by. I am still not 100% sure about the powers of accupuncture but afterwards I had a feeling of euphoria akin to Peter in Office Space after hypnosis! I also had football practice that night and my previously sore left ankle felt pretty good. I know, it could all be in my head, but I really enjoyed the experience and made a second appointment. They are running a special right now- 50% off your first two treatments if you call before 9/15 so give it a try!

Being busy people we just found it hard to make the time to talk and when we did we had one or two places where the conversations didn't get anywhere. Our therapy experience with our RCC therapist was analogous to parking a car. There is a blind spot that we just couldn't see from inside the car. Our therapist in a gentle and direct way was able to see the tree we where about to hit and direct us in another way. I figure that it just helps sometimes to have a third party opinion or insight. So glad we did it. The cool thing is our therapist spent a lot of time on helping us take what we learned in session and encouraged us to do it at home. We didn't go for very long, but are eternally gratefully.

I started seeing Shannon McCarthy because she was specifically recommended to me, by someone whom I…read morelater found out rather hates me. This explains the recommendation. To begin with, Shannon was never once on time for an appointment, usually ranging from 5 to 10 minutes late, but once as long as 15. I don't believe she ever once apologized for the lateness. It was especially offensive because I was coming from Cambridge by T, and I always built in enough travel time to be there on schedule. In addition to the lack of timeliness, Shannon was constantly trying to push me off to other therapists. At first, I bought her explanation that she thought I should have someone closer to Cambridge in case of an emergency. But as time went on and the excuses changed, it became downright insulting and unprofessional, especially since the reason I started seeing her in the first place was that the two people closest to me simultaneously ejected me from their lives. I won't profess to know her true reasoning, though I rather think it has to do with issues of her own that she needs to sort out. But I do read people well enough to know that when I asked her about it point-blank, she believed at least part of her own response to be untrue. So to sum up: if you are someone I hate, I highly recommend that you begin seeing Shannon immediately.

I had never had a thai massage before and I was a little bit nervous, but I don't think I ever want a different kind of massage again. Ashley is really personable, easy to be with, and welcoming. She wants you to be comfortable, but also pushes you to your limits (within reason, and as long as you aren't in excruciating pain). I came in to the appointment feeling really tense and kind of sad. After my massage, I left feeling awesome and relaxed. I kind of wanted to stay there and fall sleep. I will definitely be back!
