We are beyond pleased with the support and care our parent is receiving and we are happy to see that they do not just have everyone sitting in their rooms, but they make sure to have activities for the elderly like bingo, music listening -from a live musician, and family style dinner where the elderly sit around the table and engage in conversation during their dinner. With such a great review, there is only one area of improvement which is food quality, could improve to have less processed foods.

We looked at a number of places, but when we met Ben and Michelle, the operators of this truly caring home, we knew we had found the perfect spot. Ben and Michelle treat you and the folks they look after like family. Almost 2 years have passed, and they have actually escalated in their safe keeping of my father. Ben and Michelle are continually striving to tweak his surroundings to his personal needs - foods he likes, activities, adjusting his furniture, and always providing him with genuine affection while constantly monitoring and updating his health and medical needs. We have true peace of mind knowing our father is enjoying the best treatment possible under the loving supervision of Ben and Michelle at Blue Lakes.

I fostered a dog from here and eventually adopted him. I continue to volunteer with them because of how well run it is. The dogs that come in all go to see a veterinarian. They receive all their vaccines, dental work, and even surgeries needed. They do a great job of vetting fosters and adopters. Their facility is beautiful and clean. Their adoption fees are very reasonable. They have a wonderful trainer that works with the dogs as well. Dogs go out on field trips, walks, and even visit senior center residents. I definitely recommend this organization.

Bo was my second experience, although he was not in the sanctuary as long, he is still sweet and lovable, and I am greatful to Forever Loved for rescuing both my dogs, and all the other dogs, they help to find forever homes for. I also want to say, I love that they have different ways for people to help them out, even an Amazon wish list, which I go on to donate Green Beans for Miss Ruby and her friends.

Update # 2: I managed to attend the parade and one of the Scouts gave me the parade program booklet…read more@ the parade before the march, and I let Paula know about this on my e-mail reply to her, which she was happy about. So, all good now. So, I posted my 3 parade video samples here. Enjoy! "Never Forget, Forever Honor" 11-11 @ 11 AM Thank you for your service. view/download digital booklet: https://honoringamericasveterans.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/Parade-Program-2023-FA.pdf Update: re: "executive director" Paula... Sorry I have to mention that when I contacted her about not receiving a paper receipt (that I requested during checkout- even my stating if possible, it's still unprofessional not to communicate), she ignored it until I had to remind her to reply with an update, and she stated she was not going to do that. I also had to remind her to ship me the parade booklet, which she ignored also and fessed that she's the only one handler of this organization and stated that the parade scouts will pass them out or to send her a SASE to ship me a leftover. I mentioned that she could have told me this earlier. I stated that I'm the only one too, and I'm contacting my card issuer to obtain a receipt. I concluded that I would not attend her parade. I knocked down a star. Sorry! I attended their Happy Hour event at the Orange Tree Golf Resort in Scottsdale on Nov 1 to watch this year's chosen Grand Marshal, 1980s supermodel Kim Alexis, speak about her career as well as to lend support to recognize our nation's local veterans. She lives in Scottsdale with her husband and was contacted by this organization due her stance as a local role model and positive outlook. She also did a photo op + signing afterwards. I brought my Glamour magazine (January 1983 issue ;) ) for her to sign! The organization did a good job with the setup and appetizers and showed up on time. And, they were were polite and professional with Kim. It was a fun-filled evening and I hope to watch the parade in uptown Phoenix on the 11th!i

Our waitress was very knowledgeable and helped us decide on what to eat. I had the schweinerschnitzel wiener with spatzle and red cabbage. An excellent choice. I also ordered a hofbrau beer. For dessert we shared an apple strudel, which was yummy. Parking is easy and you should always be able to find a spot. If you have a craving for German food, try this place. You won't be disappointed.

So for years, I've been bringing the German egg noodles to family gatherings. These noodles rank up there with my German family's best. So delicious. I also love schnitzel and the Hunter style schnitzel here is excellent. It's awesome to get my choice of two sides (spatzle of course) and my other choice was the red cabbage. I love cold sauerkraut (homemade in my mom's crock), so I tend to hesitate on ordering at a restaurant but the red cabbage is my other go-to at a German meal. It was top tier delicious. I also love how this restaurant is a community base for all things German! Service was excellent! Yes, those are real pieces of the German wall!
