I can't say enough good things about AZ Whittier Florist! We've used them for the past 3 years for our company holiday party arrangements and Zimiri and her team to not disappoint! Ordering has been pretty easy and straightforward in regards to budget, delivery and payment. I wish I was able to remember taking photos at each of our events, but it gets so crazy busy! I highly recommend this florist and hope we continue using them for our annual holiday party. read more

My mom spoke with her regarding our situation which held nothing but attitude and blame that we hadn't communicated well enough (wrong we called multiple times). She offered us a partial refund of $300 in 2 days and after 5 days with no refund we called and she no longer would pick up. Thankfully we were able to open a case with our credit card and got our money back. She ruined my grandmothers funeral. read more

My daughter and I have been going here back when they had their shop "in the back". Now they have their store front. Yay! My brother, SIL and I went to select a casket cover for our beloved mom. We got EXACTLY what we asked for and more. We were shown picture examples and selected the flowers. We also got the centerpieces and they made one on the spot to show us what it would look like. read more

I'm so glad I called. The owner, Ms. Gutierrez, was so kind to stay open for me to make my daughter's recital bouquet. She asked me what kind of flowers I wanted and what my price range was. She did an amazing job, quickly. She supports the Whittier community. I definitely recommend her. The shop is behind the sandwich place, in the back. read more

As a Yelp Elite member, I take my reviews seriously, especially any which may be negative. I've often felt those who write "I wish I could give zero stars" are a bit dramatic. I shall be measured here as possible. On Friday at 9:30am. I called AZ to order some flowers be delivered to family members holding an important event I was unable to attend. I did however want to show respect and regret having to miss it. The call to AZ all went well, nothing out of the ordinary. Item selected, agreement on delivery for Saturday, hopefully by noon, but later in the day is fine, billing information provided. According to Google maps the delivery address is less than one mile from the shop. This in concert with many positive Yelp reviews was the reason I chose AZ. Four days after placing the order, I do not see a charge applied to my CC and none 'pending', nor have I had any acknowledgement from the recipient. I tried calling and texting AZ finally making contact after three hours of trying... trying often, but not obnoxiously so. Speaking to whom I believe is the shop owner I listen to a laundry list of issues. Detailed and tedious they include Homecoming weekend with many mom's calling for roses, lack of an employee, running late to an event, going to the wholesaler's, etc. The only positive comment to add is how I wasn't even charged!? Why couldn't I, when the owner knew she was in over her head, be contacted saying the delivery could not be accomplished. I may have had a chance to call another shop. Nothing, not until I contacted AZ the following Tuesday. This wasn't the end of the world, it wasn't a funeral, or a wedding. It was at worst just disappointing. read more

I was looking to order a flower arrangement and was really excited to stumble across AZ Whittier Florist on Yelp! I called them and placed my order over the phone, and they were super easy to coordinate with. For this particular order, I wasn't looking for anything specific in terms of the type of flowers/colors. I shared with them my budget and the reason for the arrangement (to celebrate a retirement), and they came up with an incredibly beautiful bouquet! Overall, I'm really impressed with their work and also so happy to have been able to support a local, small business! *AZ Whittier Florist is located on Whittier Blvd. near Goodyear read more

Ordered a corsage and boutonniere for prom, such poor quality was delivered. Very unprofessional service, I can't even believe she would deliver this as a business owner representing her Flower shop. I will say she did refund my money which I immediately requested as I could not use what she delivered. The ribbon was provided to her and it was a 3inch wide ribbon, which if she couldn't make work she should have called and stated so instead of delivering such poor work. read more

I called this florist 15 minutes before closing last Friday night. My daughter's wedding was the next day and her cake top had not arrived in the mail. I texted a photo asking for something similar. Zimri texted back saying she could do something similar. On the way to the wedding Saturday morning I stopped and picked up the flowers thar worked perfectly for the top of the wedding cake. I wish I can share same excitement for my flowers as others. Unfortunately for me I paid a good price for some sadly put together flowers. 2 premium at 85.95 2 premium at 95.95 $15 Deliver charge It's the same struggle all the time trying to support Whittier Local businesses. I don't trust most! Sorry not sorry. I was also requesting flower petals and quoted $80!! Damn!! Thankfully Mays Flowers came through for exactly what I wanted for way less and they packaged them for me! Also for Wedding flowers try to avoid say :Wedding: because prices shoot up. So weird! Yes, these bouquet, I guess you can say they're similar lol but were they picked to the best of their beauty no I don't think so. These were not close to top of line premium. All I see is a bunch of green!! 7/100 read more

First let me begin with the good. When I called to place my order they were very pleasant and the flowers themselves were beautiful. The arrangement was delivered late. The funeral was at 1:00pm and they arrived at 1:20 which means that they were stuck off to the side instead of being up front with our loved one. After the services, I texted the owner to let her know that the flowers arrived late. I was hoping for an "I'm sorry." I got nothing, no response whatsoever The writing on the ribbon was different sized. If you look at the photo, the "U" was clearly smaller than the other letters. It looked janky! Finally, they neglected to put a card on the flowers. At the reception, the daughter had to go around and ask everyone who the flowers were from, it was super awkward. Overall my experience was disappointing, I used them because I like to shop small whenever possible but never again read more

This was my first time hearing of this flower shop as I usually go somewhere else or at least do research first, my Aunt was looking for flowers for my grandmothers funeral services and because we are grieving I didn't come on here to read reviews like I usually do. She trusted because it was recommended to her, details on how my aunt wanted the flowers were specifically told to the owner on how she wanted things. She paid over $1,000 so she assumed she would be getting quality work, the day of comes and it is not what she ordered! Luckily me and my sister and others had ordered from a reliable florist in LA and their amazing work out did AZ Whittier florist and her work was put in the front and taken away from the memorial area where my grandmothers urn was, she had ordered 10 center pieces as well for the celebration of life reception after the services and they were late!!!! They were setting up as guests were eating!!! So unprofessional, although the flowers were nice the way they were arranged was not the best it didn't look like a professional did them, I reached out to the owner and she just read my message and didn't even have the decency to reply which is why I am on here, as a business owner I felt she should have made this right but she didn't. I would never support a business like this. I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else especially while people are grieving the loss of a love read more

AZ Whittier Florist is the best! Happy to support a women-owned local business and its a plus when they're always so responsive and accommodating. Zimri consistently comes through with beautiful arrangements within my stated budget. I appreciate how I'm able to literally drive through in front of her shop and pick up my order without having to leave my car. It's so easy and efficient. I had my aunt's memorial a year ago and the centerpieces were so beautiful, I knew they were exactly what she would've wanted. I consider this florist a neighborhood staple and admire how much time that Zimri gives back to her community. AZ Whittier Florist is indeed a local gem that I'm always eager to support. read more

The absolute best! I Can not begin to list all the qualities that make this business great! From the very beginning of the planning stages for my daughters Quinceañera, Zimri and her team were very helpful and extremely knowledgeable of every little detail from centerpieces to cake decorations. They took so much pressure off of us , that we were able to focus on other details to make this a memorable day. This was difficult for my wife because she is always controlling the planning and details of everything. I had to remind her to "let them do what they do and trust their experience" . So glad we did !! THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!! The guests and the hall coordinators were in awe of the bouquets and centerpieces!!! Highly recommend AZ Whittier Florist . read more

This is my second time using AZ Florist and both times have been great. As usual I wait til the last minute to purchase flowers for Valentines. Luckily this place is just a couple blocks from my work. I stopped in around 11 am on the 14th and was greeted immediately they were well staffed for the day and there were a few people in front of me. They had a wide variety of options with prices listed. I purchased a dozen roses and requested to leave them for pick up until after I was out of work which they had no problem accommodating. I stopped by at 6 for pick up and gave them my slip and they had them stored in the back ready to go. This is how service/business should be done. Thank you again read more

Purchased a flower arrangement online for Valentines day and I even called in before purchasing the arrangement to see if they would be delivering it on time. They reassured me it would and I ordered. The day came and it was getting late and no delivery. I called within time and they told me it would just be another 30 minutes for delivery, an hour passed and the company closed and she never got her flowers so I asked for a refund which they had said they would give me and I'm still waiting on it. Update-7/8/21 Zimri called me shortly after posting the update- she offered me 200 credit in lieu of a 200 refund. I let her know that after that experience, I wasn't wanting to do any further business. She also said she would've refunded the full amount had I called her when I arrived at the church and let her know that the arrangements were wrong, she would've picked up the arrangements and refunded us. We arrived 30 minutes before the ceremony. That is unbelievable- she would say that. I did call her same day regarding the centerpiece as they were for later use on and asked her did she mean to make them asymmetrical and she said oh the lilies will open up and look great, they did not she didn't offer to fix them even though I reached out that same day. Please be careful in regards to doing events with her. She just can't manage it.Also in regards to the wet carpet- she said it's required for all churches to have buckets under the wreaths , and the wet carpet was not her responsibility . That is not true I'm regards to the buckets and that would've created a awful eyesore. also be cautious she prefers cash or Venmo payments, I am pretty sure that she doesn't have to report it, but if you do that, she can't be held accountable if she ruins your event or floral arrangements. I'm going to follow up BBB and any other local agency and report this aswell. Update - 7/8/21-after some reflection, I reached out to the business owner to request a partial refund due to wrong alter piece, drenched church carpet due the wreaths and the lopsided center pieces, I realized she blocked me from social media and my phone number. I still went ahead and left a cordial message requesting a refund of 200 dollars, i never got an apology or anything. I will update in regards to the refund read more

I'm not entirely sure on a good turnaround time to place an order for a floral arrangement for a funeral but this shop made it happen in a matter of a day and a half. I called the shop on a Monday afternoon to place 2 floral arrangements for a funeral on Wednesday morning. The florist I spoke too (Zimri) went above and beyond to explain the difference in arrangements and prices and as well to text me a wide variety of pictures to be able to comfortably choose an arrangement based on actual photos taken for other customers. The cherry on top of amazing customer service was getting the photos of my flowers texted to me on the day of the funeral to be able to see them in photo form before seeing them in person. Sufficed to say i definitely got what I paid for and wasn't the least bit disappointed. read more

A-freakin-mazing service, quality, presentation, attentiveness, delivery, and just overall yes yes yes. I was looking for a local florist to do a same-day delivery. I called this business to ask about sending flowers to my grieving best friend. I live in Seattle, so I wasn't able to visit a florist in-person as I normally would to see and smell the blooms available. I spoke to a professional gentleman over the phone and he listened to my every detail. I was unsure what was considered "traditional" or what was in season, or exactly how big the bouquet sizes were. I had a lot of questions. He was patient with me and offered great ideas. I said my friend loved the colors orange, yellow and red, and a more natural look. I ordered the "Florist Choice" in a vase and it came out Gorgeous!! I was even sent a photo and video of the bouquet before it was delivered, which was an added bonus. After receiving them my friend texted me, "Don't tell any of the men in my life but these are the most beautiful flowers!!"
