As a Yelp Elite member, I take my reviews seriously, especially any which may be negative. I've often felt those who write "I wish I could give zero stars" are a bit dramatic. I shall be measured here as possible. On Friday at 9:30am. I called AZ to order some flowers be delivered to family members holding an important event I was unable to attend. I did however want to show respect and regret having to miss it. The call to AZ all went well, nothing out of the ordinary. Item selected, agreement on delivery for Saturday, hopefully by noon, but later in the day is fine, billing information provided. According to Google maps the delivery address is less than one mile from the shop. This in concert with many positive Yelp reviews was the reason I chose AZ. Four days after placing the order, I do not see a charge applied to my CC and none 'pending', nor have I had any acknowledgement from the recipient. I tried calling and texting AZ finally making contact after three hours of trying... trying often, but not obnoxiously so. Speaking to whom I believe is the shop owner I listen to a laundry list of issues. Detailed and tedious they include Homecoming weekend with many mom's calling for roses, lack of an employee, running late to an event, going to the wholesaler's, etc. The only positive comment to add is how I wasn't even charged!? Why couldn't I, when the owner knew she was in over her head, be contacted saying the delivery could not be accomplished. I may have had a chance to call another shop. Nothing, not until I contacted AZ the following Tuesday. This wasn't the end of the world, it wasn't a funeral, or a wedding. It was at worst just disappointing. read more

So unprofessional, although the flowers were nice the way they were arranged was not the best it didn't look like a professional did them, I reached out to the owner and she just read my message and didn't even have the decency to reply which is why I am on here, as a business owner I felt she should have made this right but she didn't. First let me begin with the good. When I called to place my order they were very pleasant and the flowers themselves were beautiful. The arrangement was delivered late. The funeral was at 1:00pm and they arrived at 1:20 which means that they were stuck off to the side instead of being up front with our loved one. After the services, I texted the owner to let her know that the flowers arrived late. I was hoping for an "I'm sorry." I got nothing, no response whatsoever The writing on the ribbon was different sized. If you look at the photo, the "U" was clearly smaller than the other letters. It looked janky! Purchased a flower arrangement online for Valentines day and I even called in before purchasing the arrangement to see if they would be delivering it on time. They reassured me it would and I ordered. The day came and it was getting late and no delivery. I called within time and they told me it would just be another 30 minutes for delivery, an hour passed and the company closed and she never got her flowers so I asked for a refund which they had said they would give me and I'm still waiting on it. From the very beginning of the planning stages for my daughters Quinceañera, Zimri and her team were very helpful and extremely knowledgeable of every little detail from centerpieces to cake decorations. This is my second time using AZ Florist and both times have been great. As usual I wait til the last minute to purchase flowers for Valentines. Luckily this place is just a couple blocks from my work. I stopped in around 11 am on the 14th and was greeted immediately they were well staffed for the day and there were a few people in front of me. They had a wide variety of options with prices listed. I purchased a dozen roses and requested to leave them for pick up until after I was out of work which they had no problem accommodating. Update-7/8/21 Zimri called me shortly after posting the update- she offered me 200 credit in lieu of a 200 refund. I let her know that after that experience, I wasn't wanting to do any further business. She also said she would've refunded the full amount had I called her when I arrived at the church and let her know that the arrangements were wrong, she would've picked up the arrangements and refunded us. We arrived 30 minutes before the ceremony. That is unbelievable- she would say that. I did call her same day regarding the centerpiece as they were for later use on and asked her did she mean to make them asymmetrical and she said oh the lilies will open up and look great, they did not she didn't offer to fix them even though I reached out that same day. Please be careful in regards to doing events with her. She just can't manage it.Also in regards to the wet carpet- she said it's required for all churches to have buckets under the wreaths , and the wet carpet was not her responsibility . That is not true I'm regards to the buckets and that would've created a awful eyesore. also be cautious she prefers cash or Venmo payments, I am pretty sure that she doesn't have to report it, but if you do that, she can't be held accountable if she ruins your event or floral arrangements. I'm going to follow up BBB and any other local agency and report this aswell. Update - 7/8/21-after some reflection, I reached out to the business owner to request a partial refund due to wrong alter piece, drenched church carpet due the wreaths and the lopsided center pieces, I realized she blocked me from social media and my phone number. I'm not entirely sure on a good turnaround time to place an order for a floral arrangement for a funeral but this shop made it happen in a matter of a day and a half. I called the shop on a Monday afternoon to place 2 floral arrangements for a funeral on Wednesday morning. The florist I spoke too (Zimri) went above and beyond to explain the difference in arrangements and prices and as well to text me a wide variety of pictures to be able to comfortably choose an arrangement based on actual photos taken for other customers. The cherry on top of amazing customer service was getting the photos of my flowers texted to me on the day of the funeral to be able to see them in photo form before seeing them in person.
