After it was determined that we would need our entire roof re-shingled, Armor Shield went to work. Dave came back to our house to explain the process and had us pick out the new shingle color. Stacy called me to schedule a date for the installation. They organized the materials and dumpster to be dropped off the day before the install. The day of the install the crew arrived around 8:00am and worked feverishly until the job was completed. By 2:30, they had everything cleaned up and they were on their way. Sure enough, a few days later I got a phone call saying they were doing a nearby job the following day and would like to stop by when it was convenient. I forget the gentleman's name, but the next day he arrived when we agreed, we spoke for 10 mins or so as he scoped out the property and the job, and he explained Frank would call back to get me on the schedule. Frank called back soon after, and we scheduled the job maybe two weeks later, toward the end of June. On the appointed day, the crew showed up about 8am, did their job, cleaned up, and was done by noon. While the house looked great, we were most concerned with our gutters. There was one dam in the front and another in the back, causing a waterfall. My biggest concern was water backing up and seeping into the attic. After Dr. Roof N Shine's work, I'm happy to report that there is no more damming in my gutters and water is flowing to the down spouts as expected. I used somebody else a few years ago and while the ultimate job was fine, the interactions I had left a lot to be desired, not to mention the cigarette butts in my front landscaping and sidewalk. When he came to give me an estimate, he told me that Sunwood generally doesn't take on "smaller" jobs such as mine, but they'd take it on. He also said I might have sticker shock from the scope of work I wanted done. I wanted all new kitchen cabinets, granite counter tops, bathroom vanities & toilets, kitchen appliances, a new shower stall with glass doors, porcelain tile in the kitchen & entryway, ceramic tile in both bathrooms, and old school oak floors throughout the rest of the 1100 Sq. Ft. of my home. I was NOT shocked by the price quoted. It was within reason. Upon signing the contract and initial payment in their offices, Greg blocked out on a calendar what phases would be completed on what dates, and was given a firm date of completion of the overall project. I made my selections for cabinets, countertops, bathroom fixtures, tiles and appliances and paint selections at the appropriate times. I paid extra for some change orders I wanted as the work progressed. All the work was completed exactly on the dates blocked out by Greg, and the overall project was completed a few days early. Upon completion of the final walk through, I was handed a check for over $700.00, because they completed the work under budget. I moved back into an essentially brand new home. All the rainwater floods my back yard and I cannot walk without long boots. I have attempted numerous times via email and photos to fix the problem. Sunwood has either ignored or delayed their response to me. It's almost a year since I moved in my home, but the problem has not been fixed. They claim they have 2-year warranty, but the time goes by with no repair. When the weather gets warmer, we will have more rain causing more muddy water and lots of bugs around my house. It will put my property and health at risk.
