I've been putting off writing a review for this guy, but after this ride I just can't let such a great guy go unreviewed. Whenever I needed a ride, I used to call services like yellow cab and DeSoto, and after unsatisfactory rides from either of them, naturally assumed that all of the services in this area would be total shit. Aj proved me wrong. I read the reviews on yelp and knew to expect a pretty upstanding guy, but you have no idea until you've actually called him. Every time I call for him, he gives me an actual close approximate to when he will be there and not all that "oooooo five ten minoot" bs from the infamous yellowcab. The guy's super nice too, finding you the quickest route and good conversation during the ride. If you happen to be short on money, he'll look over it and just all in all a genuinely great guy. Not that I advise anybody to take advantage of his graciousness though, this guy deserves every penny. I've never met a cabbie more deserving. read more

I have to agree with everybody else. AJ is just a really nice guy. Called him to book a cab to just go to Walnut Creek BART. He told me that I would get a better rate if I called a Walnut Creek Cabbie. I decided to just book a trip to SFO with him a few days ahead. I ended up cancelling on him and he was super nice about it. OK, so as you can guess, I didn't take a ride with him yet, but I can definitely tell he's a pretty stand up guy. read more

AJ has been providing outstanding taxi services to my family for the past year. He is THE go-to person to call for all our airport rides and even local occasional rides in our town, without hesitation. This review is long overdue. First a bit of background - I have used taxi cabs almost every week for the past 8 years to commute to the airport and I've used them in cities all over the US. AJ - the owner of AZ Cab runs the best cab service that I have ever used. For the past one year, he has been my guy to get a ride to SFO from Pleasanton and on the return trip. He was never late even once during the last year (100+ trips) and has picked me up at 4 am on Monday mornings for over 6 months. If he can't make it himself, he does his best to find another driver to cover for him. Highly recommend his services. He is great to talk to and always in a good mood. If possible, make sure you schedule your ride in advance since he runs a small operation and is usually super busy. read more

We called AJ to ask for a ride to SFO from Livermore at 4:00 AM. Not only did he arrive 10 minutes early, but he also agreed to take a side trip to pick up our son in another city. We arrived in plenty of time to relax before our flight. His rates are good, he's a safe driver, and a real nice guy, too. It's been a long time since I've used a cab. Last time the guy drove me in circles and cost me a lot of money. So I always try to avoid cabs. Specially with all the new driving services calling a cab is outdated. Today needed a ride from Dublin and needed to be picked up quickly. This is a little gem of a taxi company because of personal considerations and attention to detail. I used this cab service once before and the conversation was pleasant and AJ clearly knew how to navigate through morning traffic to SFO. The second time I used this service I mentioned off handedly that I had never used services like Uber or Lyft because of safety concerns (this was before Uber published its first ever safety report). AJ remember this off hand comment about my personal preferences and concerns and when air traffic delays meant he couldn't personally pick me up himself he let me know ahead of time that he arranged for a female driver to pick me up instead. It was such a lovely consideration. I felt very good about being picked up by his colleague and felt safe on the ride back. You should arrange for a pickup at least the day before and not five minutes before your departure because that's pretty inconsiderate of his established schedule. But that little extra bit of planning helps you avoid last minute panic about how to get to SFO. read more

Was looking for a cab for New Years Eve so I could do some responsible drinking. I found AZ cab and saw they had a perfect Yelp score so I decided to give him a shot. I have to agree with all the positive reviews. AJ was honest about the fact that he was busy on NYE and asked if I was flexible on the pickup time - I was and we agreed on a time range. So one night I was leaving the Lounge in Dublin called Karma with my wife and we were a little too intoxicated to drive, so we called AZ Cab and he picked us up within 10mins which was unbelievable. When I pulled up to the house I realized that my wife had lost my credit card and had no form of payment. I told AJ the driver my story and he didn't even question and told me don't worry about it next time you call me just remind me you never payed and we will call it even. (Mind you this was my first time using this company the trust was amazing.) I have been using AZ Taxi services for airport pickup/drop-offs for almost two years now. Outstanding service, always on or before time. AJ is very friendly and helpful. Deserves 10 stars!! AJ operates one of the most professional, punctual, friendly, and reliable transportation businesses. I haven't used cabs in the past to get to the airport and back because others don't show up, their cars are dirty or not well-maintained, and the drivers aren't very helpful or friendly. I decided to take a chance based on the glowing Yelp reviews and I wasn't disappointed. He texted me when he arrived (a few minutes early) to pick me up in Dublin and he monitored my flight arrival in Oakland the following week making sure to be there on time to bring me home.
