Went in around 3:30pm and there was only 1 other customer there. It use to be a Denney's and they transformed it into a nice well decorated roomy with lots of tables atmosphere. It was Happy Hour 3p-6p so I ordered the Sweet & Sour Baby Pork Ribs $5 with a Ozeki Hot Sake $3.50 and both are delicious at a great price. Then for my main dish I got the Orange Chicken $17 and Shrimp Fried Rice $18 both also very yummy with good portions that I took home for a later snack. Lots of items on the menu to choose from and when your ready to order or you need a server you just push a button on the table. I'll be back to try more of the Happy Hour menu and the Ramen or Pho.

With the weather getting colder in the South Bay, I've been craving ramen more than ever. I'm always on the hunt for a great ramen spot, and that's how I discovered Ayan. Ayan offers an impressive variety of ramen, including some unique options that immediately caught my eye. For instance, they serve Genghis Khan Ramen, a Mongol-style ramen with wheat noodles; Cheese Ramen with Chicken, featuring a mix of espuma parmesan, cheddar, and mozzarella cheeses; and Mongolia Dark Ramen, made with beef tripe. I decided to try their Cheese Ramen with Chicken, priced at $16. Beyond ramen, Ayan boasts a diverse menu blending various cuisines. They offer Mongolian dumplings, Tom Yum soups, pho, poke bowls, pasta, bao burgers, and even steaks--a true fusion haven! My friend and I shared the Mongolian Khuushuur (2 for $7), a deep-fried Mongolian dumpling, while my friend also ordered the Carbonara Noodles (lunch portion, $12). The Cheese Ramen with Chicken did not disappoint. The broth was rich, creamy, and flavorful, perfectly complemented by tender chicken breast and generous portions of mushrooms, green onions, and sprouts. I especially appreciated the whole flavored soft egg they included--it was such a delightful touch. For $16, this ramen was a fantastic deal, offering large portions and incredible taste. The Mongolian Khuushuur was another standout. These deep-fried dumplings reminded me of empanadas and can be ordered with either beef or vegetables (we opted for beef). The dumplings were perfectly crisp, served hot, and paired with a ranch dipping sauce and a vegetable papaya side--both of which added lovely contrasting flavors. I also sampled my friend's Carbonara Noodles, which seemed to use the same noodles as my ramen. The dish was equally creamy and delicious--an excellent choice for pasta lovers. Last but not least, we ended the meal with the delightful Buuz Mochi with Mango. Filled with Philadelphia cream cheese, Thai mango, and passion fruit, this dessert was absolutely drool-worthy! Beyond the delicious food, the service at Ayan was exceptional. The staff were friendly and attentive, and I loved the convenient buzzer system at each table, making it easy and efficient to request assistance. It's rare for me to give a new restaurant five stars, but Ayan absolutely earned it. The service was fantastic, the food was outstanding, and I came for ramen but discovered so much more. I can't wait to return!

"Asian fusion" in the south bay? Well, honestly, that usually isn't... For Asians. But I was excited because there aren't many Mongolian places in Los Angeles, and especially Torrance after Nadima's closed. Except... This menu doesn't really have much Mongolian on it. It's ironically looking closer to the Taiwanese invented "Mongolian BBQ" than Mongolian for the noodles. I was looking forward to thick, chewy handmade or hand pulled noodles and there was none of that. The various dumplings (fried, steamed , handpie shaped) were tasty although none of them burst with liquid. We also didn't get the sauce or side of veggies I see in pictures for takeout. The fries were underdone, maybe because we went during an off hour. I was excited to see no caffeine drink options and got a honey chamomile milk tea, only to be completely baffled by the bright pink drink with whipped cream. It did taste of tea and was tasty, I think they just subbed strawberry syrup for honey and didn't tell us. The baked eggplant ended up being our favorite dish and felt strangely closer to Mongolian food with the mayo. The veggie filling was my favorite of the dumplings. I didn't expect to ever say vegetable dishes were my favorite at a place with Mongolian food but here we are! I did still feel a little overloaded with carbs, which is usually more where I am after Mongolian food. For more Mongolian food, trek out to Arag in Ktown.

Delicious Asian Fusion with a variety of amazing options! The restaurant had plenty of parking and The restaurant was clean with a relaxing environment. I ordered the Tom Yum and beef Mongolian Noodles and everything was so yummy! The staff were attentive and friendly!

This isn't my first time reviewing Ayan (Yelp hit me with the "Do you recommend this place?" prompt)... and yeah, I still absolutely do. The ramen is rich, comforting, and borderline addictive--but it's the combo of fall-off-the-bone ribs and a cold pitcher of Blue Moon that really sets the tone. Add good company and a vibe that feels both elevated and effortless, and suddenly you're staying way longer than planned. The staff is always on point--attentive, friendly, never rushed. It's the kind of spot that feels like a hidden gem even if it's in your regular rotation. I am a little bummed they're no longer open for weekday lunch (my solo ramen therapy sessions will have to be weekend-only now), but the food and the energy are still top-tier. Ayan continues to be one of my favorite places to eat, drink, and feel like a local.

The menu was very interesting. I got the sea bass with Thai sauce. I liked mine . The fish was a bit salty but overall it was very good. I liked the cheese. My families food was pretty bland or too salty.

I can't and won't forget the braised pork ribs from Ayan because they all fell off the bone with no effort. The sauce was semi-sweet and the meat was so tender, making the combo irresistible. Fries as a side was a bit peculiar but it worked since the saltiness balanced the sweetness. The other must-order dish is the Mongolian buuza dumplings with 33 folds. It's stuffed to the brim and incredibly juicy. The garlic beans as a side dish were just alright and the noodles with minced kurobuta pork and beef with chili oil was not my personal favorite. I expected it to be similar to the Chinese version but it was tomato-forward which threw me off. It wasn't bad, especially since the noodles were very chewy, but it reminded me more of a bolognese. Overall, the atmosphere is spacious and clean and it's nice that they have buttons at the table that'll help you call the waiter over.

First off, the service here is very attentive and quick. If anything they have a button which would call a server over to you shortly. I assume this is a newer spot and there wasn't that many customers here on a Saturday. What I can say is that the food is good, its Asian fusion so they have selection from Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, Chinese, you name it. I won't say they specialize anything but if you're with a group of friend, everyone should be able to find something that they like. Here are my thoughts on what I had. Watermelon with Cheese - They just randomly gave this for everyone and surprisingly it was delicious. Refreshing appetizer. (5/5) Matcha Coffee & Smoothie - Both were delicious drinks and you wouldn't go wrong with any. For $5ish each I felt it was reasonable. (5/5) Spicy Ramen - So it's not the best ramen I've had but I really much enjoyed it. It's not that spicy IMO but the flavors were on point. Winner was definitely the marinated tea egg because they know how to make it right (yolky and strong soy flavor). (4/5) Pork Chop Fried Rice - Their batter on the pork chop is perfect. Crispy and flavorful, I could just eat the pork chop itself. The fried rice was nothing too special. It was a basic egg fried rice, but it didn't have that much flavor. Overall rice was okay, pork chop was fire. (4/5) Matcha Ais Bao - So interesting but flavor packed. Its ice cream put into a bread. I enjoyed this and would recommend but make sure to get it at the end because the ice cream melts fast (5/5) Buzza Mochi with mango and passion fruit - This is a fun dish and I was surprised that it was made with mochi. It kind of taste like a dumpling filled with cake insides. Interesting but overall delicious. (4.5/5) Personally I would come here knowing that they don't specialize in anything but have a large selection that everyone can enjoy. The food is overall good and would recommend coming here if you're around Redondo Beach. Service is top notch so you'll be taken care of. Overall everything I got was around $68 so I thought it was pretty decent for 2 drinks, 2 entrées, and 2 desserts. Parking - Huge lot so super easy to find.

The Service: Manager Daniel leads a good team. The service is friendly and efficient. We felt very welcomed when they greeted us with big smiles. The restaurant is spacious and well maintained. They have large tables for big groups as well. The Food: Always excited to try out different Asian restaurants in our neighborhood. My favorite dish is definitely their salmon. The plating is so beautiful. Love the colors and the flavors! The chef definitely put in effort to create these dishes. All the dishes are made to order and steaming hot when they served. Good portion to share as well. There are so many different varieties of food to choose from on their menu. This time we only tried several stirred fried dishes. Delicious new spot in North Redondo Beach. For those who are familiar with the area, it's honestly a bit tough to shake the Denny's vibe. Although, they did their best to make it look nice inside. There's a really wide range of foods from noodles to burgers on the pictured menu, so I really didn't know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious the food was. This was the best ramen that I've had in Redondo. The service was friendly but seemed a little inexperienced. Could have used a little more context when we asked about what was in a specific dish. But overall, we had a nice family dinner and will be back!

I wish the best for new restaurants, especially if they're trying to be affordable. That doesn't change with this review. Ayan took the building that was a Denny's in lot next to a gas station with a car wash, Hertz, Rite Aid, and smaller shops. They kept the shape of the sign so you can tell they re-purposed as much as possible... Probably to save on cost. The interior was redecorated with bamboo wood floors, tables, and other things in an attempt at a contemporary effortless design. Remove that and you can tell it used to be a diner. There's plenty of parking as no one goes to this shopping plaza. Most of the cars are Hertz rentals. Each table has a ringer just like most Korean restaurants. Plus a box with utensils. No condiments whatsoever, which you have to ask for or they bring it out if they think it fits what you ordered. I ordered the spicy ramen (pictured). It is a bit spicy. I wasn't asked what's spice level so I don't think it can change. They did give me a bottle of Sriracha. The description said rolled pork. I wasn't expecting mini hamburger patties. The patties tasted good but it was very odd with ramen. The egg was tasty too, but again the flavoring didn't match the dish. The mushrooms tasted like Chinese mushrooms but weren't. So that threw me off again. The bok choy was ok as well as the corn, sprouts, and green onions. The broth was definitely not a ramen broth. It was missing something. Everything but the mushrooms were okay ... by itself. Together, oddly, it wasn't as great which is really weird. Also, who puts Sriracha on ramen? Should be a chili oil. The place is marketed as "Asian cuisine". It should be "Asian fusion" as that's really what it is. Asians don't have burgers and fries. They're mixing things from different cultures, which isn't a bad thing but it doesn't feel or taste like they figured out the right combinations and mixes yet. They need more work finding the right mix. Staff was nice. Payment was via Toast. I scanned the QR code and paid with my digital wallet online. Not sure how they know people paid before they leave but to me it's convenient. Strange the menu and ordering isn't digital too. But seems like the pattern... Everything is half effort... The decor... The table setting... The menu... The food... And the ordering and payment system. I am curious about the burgers as they use bao for buns but based on reviews I've seen, it most likely will align with this review.

This review is mainly about the staff- they're all so friendly! We came in around 5PM, and dinner rush didn't start yet. But all the staff were so welcoming and kind. The chefs (you can see them them through the windows), as well. The food- the ramen is my favorite. It's a really big portion. I also love the spicy level. Noodles and broth are also delicious. Parking- there's plenty! Prices- very fair.

3 stars for the food but minus 1 star for the service Let's start with the pros: the place is really clean, aesthetically pleasing and has a lot of parking Menu: It's a bit confusing. It's Asian fusion ... but not specific Asian. There's pho, ramen, Mongolian, Chinese .. and even salad... it's pretty random. The choices were kind of confusing and to be honest, nothing exciting stood out. I got the Mongolian noodles (minced pork and beef) with chili oil and my husband got the pork chop fried rice. The Mongolian noodles were interesting. IlIt smelled like ragu with Asian flavors but had a dry texture and tasted nothing like I was expecting. The noodles reminded me of chow mein. I couldn't taste anything "chili oil" related. It was ok. My husband got the pork chop fried rice and it was decent. The fried rice was light and it wasn't greasy. He enjoyed it. Service was slow and a bit frantic. Wrong item was delivered to our table and it took forever to get our check.

I am in town for work and was craving Asian food. Ordered delivery from this restaurant based on reviews. Overall, I was disappointed. The dumplings were just OK. The cucumbers were pretty good. The pork Katsu was terrible. It was a little undercooked and the pork was fatty and very chewy. I asked for extra Katsu sauce and only received a drizzle. A brand new restaurant with very young staff and very conveniently located with lots of parking. They have a wide selection of Asian foods, definitely with a Mongolian twist. I actually think the food has a lot of Mongolian influence which might throw some people off since they are used to the normal standard Chinese or Japanese foods. I would say the Japanese Ramen is pretty good. The Mongolian noodles could use a little bit more seasoning. The deep fried Mongolian dumplings are quite good. They do use a lot of ground beef patties in their food, and this feels more northern Asia. I think the serving staff is friendly and they seem eager to learn and are very young. This place has it all! A beautiful atmosphere, outstanding service and the foooooood!!!! Yummy! the redesign of this space is impressive and the seating is very comfortable, plenty of booths and tables. No cheap uncomfortable metal chairs here by the way. I love that you press a little button at your table when you need a waiter, no worrying about flagging anyone down. Super attentive and friendly service. Now the food is off the charts. We had a salad Pho and burger. All were a culinary wonder. The food is unique and flavorful and beautifully presented. We absolutely will return and will recommend to others. I recently gave this place a visit as I had seen reviews by others that said it was a must visit restaurant. I walked into an empty place at 6 pm which made me wonder if what I had read was deserved. But by the time I left at 7pm it was full. The service was good though the waitress had some difficulty understanding my English. She indicated it wasn't her primary language. I understood from what she said the business is operated by former Soviet Union guys. The food was tasty and the portion big enough for me to share the dish with a friend. We got the ramen and chicken katsu for our main meal and it was super delicious! The noodles and broth were especially enjoyable and the fried rice that came with the katsu was so soft. For desert we had the most delicious coconut bunny mousse and we can't stop thinking about it. Our experience at Ayan was disappointing from start to finish. It took 15 minutes for a server to even come to our table. We later realized that you're supposed to press a button on the table to call for service, but this was never explained to us. We started with the shrimp appetizer, while my husband ordered beef and broccoli, and I got the pho soup. My pho arrived first, followed by water and what was supposed to be our appetizer--except they brought chicken wings instead of shrimp. The server simply dropped them off and walked away. When we flagged him down to tell him we didn't order chicken wings, he took them back to the kitchen--only for us to see the same plate being served to another table. That was incredibly off-putting and unhygienic. When we finally received the shrimp appetizer, it came topped with shaved anchovies, which neither of us enjoyed. The smell was overwhelming, and the flavors didn't work well together. We asked the server to take it back, but there seemed to be a language barrier, and he appeared confused. Meanwhile, my husband's beef and broccoli arrived much later, while I was already eating my pho (because I didn't want it to get cold). The lack of coordination in service was frustrating. The only positives? The restaurant itself looks nice and is clean, but unfortunately, that doesn't make up for the poor service and below-average food. There are far better options out there. Honestly, I have no idea how this place has decent Yelp reviews. We won't be returning. read more

Sad. I don't know what happened here. We drove up last night, looking forward to having something different this visit only to discover that they had gone out of business. It was a beautiful space, they had done a great job remodeling an old Denny's but they never could seem to get the place going in the right direction. The service was sketchy, the food we had was ok but we had hoped for better and generally their offerings were a little on the expensive side. We had hoped that each visit would get better but they just lost their way I guess. Sad to see people lose their jobs and investors (owners) lose money. We'll miss knowing that we could stop in, that they restaurant would have room for us and that parking would be so easy. Thanks for making the effort! read more

Ate there once about 6 months ago. I didn't leave a review because the food was so bad and the service was equally terrible. I was hoping they might just figure some things out and improve. My girlfriend left without finishing her meal because it was so terrible. The Chinese family at the table next to us were laughing with me at the menu because it didn't make any sense. How anyone left this place anything better than a 1 star review can only be explained as family members and friends of employees or owners of the restaurant. I'm really not surprised that it went out of business, but it was faster than I expected. I really wish we could just get some decent Chinese food in Redondo or Manhattan Beach. read more

This spot used to be an old Denny's , but now has transformed into a Asian food diner highlighting some Mongolian dishes. My husband and I ordered the Cucumber Salad, Mongolian Khuushuur, Mongolian Dumplings, Chicken Chop Fried Rice, Pork Ribs with Black Pepper Sauce, and the Chocolate and Mochi Dumplings. Our favorite dish was the Pork Ribs with the sauce and fries. The red peppers on the fries are almost like candied chili bites, which was very interesting. The place is nice and clean. Definitely ADA compliant and kid-friendly. Our service was great from Daniel and Rodyin. There's free parking in the plaza. read more

I hope this establishment gets more business. A very unique fusion dining concept that mixes Mongolian, Japanese, Chinese, and Western cuisines. Service was polite, efficient, and fast on my visit. The noodles had good QQ/mouth feel. The buzza had pretty good mouth feel as well. Not necessarily the kind of food people are typically on the lookout for in South Bay, so definitely hope more people check this spot out. Good hours too. Hope they survive. read more

Amazing food, service and ambiance. Love that they got a bit of everything when it comes to Asian food like Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese, Mongolian, and etc. Service was efficient with the call button. Bad service and horrible food experience when I dined in solo. The server was simply unkind. I asked her since they have such a wide range of fusion foods, what soup type of entree she recommends. She kept recommending like 5 different appetizers and entrees. I decided on the seafood tom yum soup with noodles. It was pure white and tasted like sweet water. It was just straight up coconut milk with seafood in it and absolutely no seasoning other than sugar and some salt. I had 2 bites and left. If you want good food run to. If you want good service run from. Unlike my first attempt of going here had no problem being seated straight away. They have a clever system when you are ready to order or need anything press the button. They were very prompt for calling to place an order, but it stopped there. I pressed 4 times for my check and no one. I finally had to go to the check out desk and tell them I was dangerously close to walking my check since no one was interested in bringing it. My family and I dined in for the first time this evening and the staff were extremely welcoming and attentive. The restaurant is clean and even the restrooms are very nicely maintained. We ordered Ramen with Tankotsu and Thai Tom Yum and both were delicious. The garlic Parmesan fries were crispy and well coated. We also tried their ice cream chocolate, matcha, and vanilla. It's fine in a pinch if you want Asian fare in Redondo. But it's a hodge-podge menu with an identity crisis. A bit greasy and nothing memorable. My husband won't eat it again. I may give it another go if I remember. Service is bad. I got take out and it was hard to determine if they got the order or not. The person answering the phone barely spoke English. I got no problems with poor English as I'm a proud immigrant, but to answer the phone in the service industry, you GOTTA be able to speak comprehensible English. read more

I was really excited to finally try Ayan since it's so close to my house, but sadly, it was a huge disappointment. I ordered the ramen with ground beef, expecting something flavorful and well-prepared. Instead, it was served with what looked like half a hamburger patty floating in the bowl--definitely not what I had in mind. The broth was bland and lacked depth, and the toppings were underwhelming--mostly just corn with barely any vegetables. I ordered the spicy version, but there was absolutely no heat to it at all. It felt like they missed the mark entirely on what makes a good bowl of ramen. For a place that's been open for a while, I expected much better quality and attention to detail. Som Tam (Papaya salad): this one reminds me of when I went to Thailand and had this daily. I love the option they have of adding Pla La and I loved the tiny shrimp bits. Mikeys Tom Yum Soup: I got this one with chicken, and the flavors really shone through with all the spices they used in it. Larb: nice and light with perfect seasoning. ChaTraMue Thai Tea: holy cow this is going to be my new spot for just Thai Iced Tea. It was strong and refreshing. It wasn't too sweet like some boba shops, but just right! I had the Shrimp Bbq which comes on a hot plate over a bed of cabbage with 5 little banchan, miso soup (which was terrible) and a bowl of white rice. Service was fine. The check, however, had tip prices that were inflated by 200%. I'm not sure if this was because we split the check halfway with 2 cc's? Still, I'd never seen anything like it (see pic below - I hand wrote the correct amts so u guys can see). I left a big tip either way but someone else may not realize it. The worse part though was that the entire establishment smelled like urine. Not sure if there was a plumbing issue but it was awful. On a weekday at 12:30PM there were only 2ppl in the restaurant besides myself & my friend.
