This has been our 2nd axe throwing experience and it was very fun. Mike welcomed us as we walked in to check in. The place has two rows with multiple bays which can accommodate small to larger groups. The have plenty of space, lounge to relax in the back. We didn't get food or drinks but I saw something about they in the folder with the games listing so you may want to call about that in advance. Kid/family friendly but don't put all this on the business, keep an eye on your kids (just my public announcement). I believe 10years and older allowed. Price wise you can go wrong, very reasonable. Location wise Axeonaxeoff is located on Sand Lake Rd right by the Florida Mall.

Deciding to do this on a whim with a few friends. There were a few places like this around Orlando, but picked this location since it was a bit closer to where we were located. Upon arrival we were greeted and asked if we've ever done this before, of course we have not! We were told to sign a wavier on an iPad, which was pretty simple. I have never thrown an axe before and was pretty excited to try this sport out. The instructor, Mike, who was very friendly, told us a few rules and gave us a few tips on how to throw the axe. The first few tries were horrible, but once you get the hang of it, it is pretty fun! There is a binder of a few different games to play from to keep score. We just tally up how every many points we hit for the hour that we were there. We were able to get two lanes so we weren't waiting on each other, which was great. Location was easy to find right across from The Florida Mall with plenty of parking. Highly recommend this place if you're looking into axe throwing fun!

I went in tentative like Michael Cera in a rom com and left as a strapping Asian Paul Bunyan. Axe on Axe has only been open 3 months and they are already the second largest axe throwing venue in the nation (they have over 20 target lanes). I had never done axe throwing before so I was eager but cautious. Am I going to hit someone? Is the axe going to bounce back in my face? Am I going to accidentally release it backwards? None of that happened. We booked a group event for 14 of us and they spread us out over 6 targets. Mike, one of the owners and a competition thrower, met us and explained basic technique. As we progressed in comfort level, he would introduce more throwing techniques and tricks. The targets are paired off with a fully extended chain link wall between every two targets, and within the two targets, there's another shorter chain link wall so that you can "swap" lanes like bowling but still have a safety divider so that both lanes can throw and pickup at once. Each scoring station (think stand-up bar top) comes with dry erase clipboards for score keeping and a binder with various throwing games described inside. Our group was 50/50 male/female. Some were scared at first but after a couple of throws everyone was flinging hard. We had our targets booked for 2 hours. The women threw for the first hour and chatted during the 2nd while the guys kept at it throughout. What adds to the fun is that they are BYOB so we were sipping on wine, beer and White Claws. With a few throws, everyone will hit a bullseye. To give you some perspective, I think it's easier for beginning axe thrower to hit a bullseye than it is for a beginning bowler to get a strike. The hardest part of everything is pulling the axe out of the wood. They stock you with two regulation axe sizes. One larger and one smaller. The larger one is easier to throw and sticks more easily into the wood. You start out throwing two-handed from overhead but it's dang fun one-arming the smaller axe. During the last half hour I was even throwing them underhanded with success! Axe On Axe Off changes out their target boards as they get worn down, which can mean they get switched out after a few hours if they are having a busy day. They also have a lounge in the back where you can watch TV or play Nintendo 64. If you are looking for a good team building event or just want to let off some extra energy with the boys, go do some axe throwing. Book 1.5 hours and just have at it. Axe On Axe Off instantly transformed me from a boy in Florida summer booty shorts to a Portland lumberjack hipster. Now when are the casting for extras to 300 the movie?

I came here for a birthday. I called several ax venues to see if they can allow us to bring foods and drinks. While many places do, this place had a great, decently priced. We were also recommended by a friend of this place. I'm glad we did go here. We were allowed to bring food and drinks here. They were very accommodating. The service was great. They started the charge after they gave the instructions. They checked up on us to make sure we were okay. Don't go to the ax venues in Downtown Orlando. They charge for parking alone and they charge so much more.

Very fun experience! Also great Covid-19 cleaning precautions! Such a great place for a double date!

We went tonight 06/09 / 23 for my husband's birthday! We REALLY enjoyed ourselves and the owner was SO nice and informative! We were really impressed that he built all the furniture and cages himself !

This place was really fun!! Super chill atmosphere in a great location. Logan and Mike were both super helpful and I appreciated both of them. It was a great girls night out!! Next time I'll be sure to bring some wine. But I appreciated that you guys had Red Bull!!

This is a must see and do in Orlando. The staff and owner are amazing. They are very knowledgeable, and attentive and will help you to throw better. My son is 10 and he had a blast! My mom was struggling with the technique and the owner took her aside to help her and she landed some hits! They also offer game ideas to throw in some friendly competition. We have been for several special occasions and will only come here! Thinking of doing my next corporate training event here as well!

Mike was super helpful and funny. It was cool to know that him and his brother built the place themselves and added unique touches. You get two lanes which was nice so you don't have to wait so long for your turn. There's a binder filled with fun games to play which made things much more interesting. We will be back and with beer next time!

It was my first time Axe throwing and Mike made me feel so comfortable!! He took his time and showed us the ins and outs. I could tell he enjoyed axe throwing which made me enjoy it even more. I even got the bullseye a few times. I'll definitely be coming back!

Definitely the best axe throwing place I've been to! It has cage dividers in between so you don't have to wait for the person/people you're playing with to throw! Also, Chase is so kind and encouraging! Such a great coach and made our hour go really smooth. There's also a lot of room for you to throw!

So much fun! When you first get there you fill out consents/waivers of course, and get started! The instructor was so fun and personable and really supplemented the experience just by being awesome and encouraging! They help teach you how to throw and even though the concept can seem (and certainly can be) dangerous, they do a lot to make sure you're safe! ONE THING TO KNOW: WEAR CLOSED TOE SHOES!! I was actually a little sore the next day, so yes it is strenuous! It's such a good time and definitely so much fun, especially if you're competitive. I one thousand percent recommend this! I think 1 hour would be just enough if you're there with 2 people, any longer than that and my arms might've fallen off Other notes: * they serve alcohol * you can upgrade your axes for extra $ * there are games they teach you which are fun! think of it like dart games but with an axe * we went on a Monday night and it wasn't busy at ALL! also, next door had Bingo to finish the night with!
