Here's what to expect if you're wanting to go to a rage room. First off, checked the online bookings at 4pm on a Weds night and it was open, but I didn't want to book because I didn't know how long dinner would be. While finishing up dinner, I checked online availabilities again and only 8pm was available. Yeah I didn't want to wait that long. So I called and they had an open night. So first tip, call before heading out or ruling the activity out. Second off, you go to pick what junk you want to smash. You get to pick two crates. They have crates of glass bottles and electronics. We got one of each. There's also big screen TVs for an extra $15. The glass bottles are fun to throw and smash. Electronics are harder to ruin but fun if you need to let out more rage. Also, slug hammering a keyboard stacked on other electronics (the stacking for height) was the coolest visual because when you hit the keyboard all the keys fly up. My favorite was using the crow bar on the glass bottles. Third off, you get to choose your music to listen to. The staff mentioned Enya and I was obsessed but listened to heavy metal instead. The staff is super nice and informative. Wouldn't pay $35 to break stuff again though. While it was fun, didn't feel like $35 worth of breakage. This was my first rage room so didn't know what else to expect. Would be nice if there was a table to break things on, but makes sense considering it'll probably get wreaked. All-in-all it was a blast!! read more

We had cousins come in from out of town and wanted to do something fun. Ages ranging from 4-13. This was the spot! They had so much fun in the splatter room as well as the smash room. We definitely will be coming back. read more

Did you recently break up with your significant other? Have a bad day at work? Or is life all around just being stressful? This is the place you've been wishing for-a place to safely take out your frustration and anger. We've all come to know and love axe throwing over the last couple of years. But have you been in a smash room? Imagine going Office Space on an old computer, or taking a baseball bat to trinkets you've collected over the years that now remind you of someone you'd rather not be reminded of. Yup, that's what it is. Bring your own box of smashables, or come empty handed and they will be provided for you. Whatever you do, wear close-toed shoes. Safety gear will be provided and required for you to play...and a waiver, of course. If you're more of the observant type, there are windows on two sides of the smash room that allow for watching. You can also get a pretty good view of the entire arena and assess the axe throwing abilities of everyone. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about what they do. Don't be afraid to ask for some pointers on the axe throwing or the best angles to properly smash a TV. They know it all and are happy to help! read more

I was pleasantly surprised at this axe throwing location, as they had a variety of weapons you could throw, had amazing projector games (not just your typical axe throwing target), and had an amazing axe throwing instructor! Our instructor was fun, informative and was a great axe throwing coach. Our team had so much fun here, and loved the competitive games available. Definitely recommend this place! The environment was also very clean, and there was water provided! read more

Customer service and prices. We paid $75 and only got to smash things for 17 minutes. The employee said we would get 30 minutes. If you're going to charge that much, how about you try and make it a good experience instead of cutting our time short. I feel like I need to rage about the rage room. It's a shame the place I go to release rage causes me rage. Be better. read more

This place is awesome!!! Axe throwing was the best!! The dude Hunter that works there and helped us with the smash room and axe throwing was top notch... this company is lucky to have him as he is def an asset..he took the time to thoroughly explain everything and even gave the husband some Pointers I won all games. Thanks Hunter... you rock!! We will definitely be back and hope you are there to accommodate again! read more

Such an experience! Glad I was able to do this not your typical day to day activity but I actually really enjoyed it. First off the guy who helped us was super informative and walked us through on how to PROPERLY throw an axe and gave us tips. He also came by several times to ensure that we were doing ok. 2nd- loves the vibe of the place it was clean but still have this retro/authentic look to it 3rd- you get to write your name on the walls (or whatever) once you are done. Great for dates, families or just doing something new. Glad to could go back home and brag about it to my friends. Great for insta pics too Also, there is a 'temper' room where you can go and break a bunch of stuff. read more

The guy who was working the front desk was super short with us and had horrible customer service. He mumbled through a very quick explanation and really seemed like he didn't want to be there. Keep in mind that it's $70 for two people for 20 minutes for the rage room! We were fine paying that amount but matched with the bad customer service, it made for an uncomfortable and bad experience for us. We felt unwelcome and made to feel as if we were a bother to the staff. We would definitely not recommend this location and will not be back. read more

The owner was there when we were there and was super friendly, helpful and professional! If you want to let out some after-work frustration, this is a great way to blow off some steam! It takes a few minutes to get the hang of throwing axes, but you start to get into a groove eventually and it's a total blast! Will definitely be coming here again and 100% recommend to anyone who has thought about coming to this place! (Wear shoes to cover your feet if you want to do the smash room) read more

I'm visiting from CO and I came here with some friends and had the worst axe throwing experience. The place was completely empty (which should've been the first sign). The guy working there set us at a lane, explained and demonstrated how it works, then a couple minutes later went to go play on his phone. The wood was super dry and the axes were really dull so the axes struggled sticking in the wood. Such a disappointment since Colorado has some really good axe throwing businesses that I've been to before this. No fun at all, we can only stand it for about 30 min. (Still got charged a full hour for each of us though). Definitely won't be back and I highly recommend you take your business elsewhere. read more

I have never been to any axe throwing or rage room places but I found this place online and it didn't disappoint. I was originally looking for a rage room to smash some stuff but found this place that has both! I booked a time online because I wasn't sure how long waits would be just walking in but it was super easy to book online. We got there and I wasn't sure if you pay for the rage room and axe throwing or if it was just one or the other. It only paid for the axe throwing so we did that, and then when you pay it's for 60 mins. The instructor was awesome and helpful. Lots of different fun games you can play as well. They have other items you can throw other than the axes. We threw the ninja stars and those were super easy and fun to use. We didn't use the rage room but saw people using them and looked super fun. I will definitely be back in the future and would recommend to others! read more

This was a fun, social double-date with friends. At first my wife was jumpy when the axe clamored on the floor. After 15 minutes, she was consistently hitting her targets. She even split a playing card in half! So, I married an axe thrower. It was fun, the games were challenging, and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this for a group date activity. read more

The games are so much fun next level axe throwing. Customer service was poor the workers were snappy and cared more about texting on their phone then actually customer service. read more

So much fun really enjoyed the few hours i spent there with my friends. Brandon, the employee there, was super nice and a lot of fun. Totally recommend 100% great axes and fun games can't wait for them to expand. read more

Phat axe is sort of hiding in this little shopping center, but once you go in the owner greets you in a welcoming manner. He has some wavers you have to sign before playing. This was our first time going in and we didn't really know what to expect. The owner was kind enough to walk us through and show us how to throw the axe. He demonstrated a few different throws for us and than we were left to throw axes for a while. After a while of practicing he came back and gave us a game to play we really enjoyed throwing axes. Although there was just the two of us I think it's best if you go with a group of friends to make the experience a lot better read more

So much fun! They had a ton of options to throw and Adam was super helpful the whole time, definitely recommend!

came in as a walk in. would recommend if you want to throw more than axes. they allow you to bring ur own axe and knives. would definitely go back again. read more

Called to make a reservation and told them we had a gift certificate and they said it was no problem. Drove a ways to get there only to be told our gift certificate wasn't redeemable even though it didn't have an expiration date. We got a "sorry" and were sent on our way. Probably should communicate better on the phone with people before having them make a trip. read more

We decided to go here for a family outing and what a blast it was! The owner was great with explaining to us how to adjust our stance to get the most out of our experience. Axe throwing was a blast but let's not forget the smash room! Those of us who wanted to do the smash room had a ton of fun and for those who didn't want to do it had a blast watching it! Highly recommend. read more

Axe throwing is fun, but feeling safe while doing it is important. Phat Axe is located in a small strip mall, and has about 4 axe throwing bays. Each bay is probably 12' x 10', and accommodates three targets each. The problem is that the throwing line is located outside the start of the bay's chain link fence, which means if someone to your right or left loses control of their axe, there is no fencing to protect you from a wayward axe. Complicating the issue is that two of the bays are on the north wall, and two are on the south wall, back to back, and the clearance and walking space between them is crowded. Benches and a small desk separate these back to back bays, but no other physical barriers to prevent wayward axes released too early from behind. There's probably only 10' of clearance between the bays in this configuration. Given that you typically take a step to throw the axe, that's not a lot of space, and you can be nearly back-to-back with a stranger... holding an axe. People and instructors are forced to haphazardly meander in this small no-mans land between the bays in this configuration. Frankly, I'm surprised the city of American Fork allowed this place to be configured the way it is, my junior high wood shop was safer, and had clear lines and boundaries painted on the floors. It's a great place to throw axes, if you're alone, but it's only a matter of time before someone is seriously injured there. Think hard before signing the waiver! read more

We had such a great experience at Phat Axe! Nate was so helpful and attentive. He gave us pointers, taught us different games, and was all around amazing.
