Here's what to expect if you're wanting to go to a rage room. First off, checked the online bookings at 4pm on a Weds night and it was open, but I didn't want to book because I didn't know how long dinner would be. While finishing up dinner, I checked online availabilities again and only 8pm was available. Yeah I didn't want to wait that long. So I called and they had an open night. So first tip, call before heading out or ruling the activity out. Second off, you go to pick what junk you want to smash. You get to pick two crates. They have crates of glass bottles and electronics. We got one of each. There's also big screen TVs for an extra $15. The glass bottles are fun to throw and smash. Electronics are harder to ruin but fun if you need to let out more rage. Also, slug hammering a keyboard stacked on other electronics (the stacking for height) was the coolest visual because when you hit the keyboard all the keys fly up. My favorite was using the crow bar on the glass bottles. Third off, you get to choose your music to listen to. The staff mentioned Enya and I was obsessed but listened to heavy metal instead. The staff is super nice and informative. Wouldn't pay $35 to break stuff again though. While it was fun, didn't feel like $35 worth of breakage. This was my first rage room so didn't know what else to expect. Would be nice if there was a table to break things on, but makes sense considering it'll probably get wreaked. Customer service and prices. We paid $75 and only got to smash things for 17 minutes. The employee said we would get 30 minutes. If you're going to charge that much, how about you try and make it a good experience instead of cutting our time short. I feel like I need to rage about the rage room. I was pleasantly surprised at this axe throwing location, as they had a variety of weapons you could throw, had amazing projector games (not just your typical axe throwing target), and had an amazing axe throwing instructor! Our instructor was fun, informative and was a great axe throwing coach. Our team had so much fun here, and loved the competitive games available. Definitely recommend this place! Such an experience! Glad I was able to do this not your typical day to day activity but I actually really enjoyed it. First off the guy who helped us was super informative and walked us through on how to PROPERLY throw an axe and gave us tips. He also came by several times to ensure that we were doing ok. 2nd- loves the vibe of the place it was clean but still have this retro/authentic look to it 3rd- you get to write your name on the walls (or whatever) once you are done. Great for dates, families or just doing something new. Glad to could go back home and brag about it to my friends. What an awesome place! The owner/manager was very friendly and helpful with explanations, tips, and instructions. My friends and I had AWESOME fun throwing axes and having scoring competitions. I enjoyed it so much that I told me wife we need tog to there on a group date! There is also a cool destruction room where you can put on protective gear and smash bottles or old electronics with bats and sledge hammers. I totally want to try that next time I come! read more

The guy who was working the front desk was super short with us and had horrible customer service. He mumbled through a very quick explanation and really seemed like he didn't want to be there. Keep in mind that it's $70 for two people for 20 minutes for the rage room! We were fine paying that amount but matched with the bad customer service, it made for an uncomfortable and bad experience for us. We felt unwelcome and made to feel as if we were a bother to the staff. We would definitely not recommend this location and will not be back. read more

The owner was there when we were there and was super friendly, helpful and professional! If you want to let out some after-work frustration, this is a great way to blow off some steam! It takes a few minutes to get the hang of throwing axes, but you start to get into a groove eventually and it's a total blast! I'm visiting from CO and I came here with some friends and had the worst axe throwing experience. The place was completely empty (which should've been the first sign). The guy working there set us at a lane, explained and demonstrated how it works, then a couple minutes later went to go play on his phone. The wood was super dry and the axes were really dull so the axes struggled sticking in the wood. Such a disappointment since Colorado has some really good axe throwing businesses that I've been to before this. No fun at all, we can only stand it for about 30 min. (Still got charged a full hour for each of us though). Definitely won't be back and I highly recommend you take your business elsewhere. read more

I have never been to any axe throwing or rage room places but I found this place online and it didn't disappoint. I was originally looking for a rage room to smash some stuff but found this place that has both! I booked a time online because I wasn't sure how long waits would be just walking in but it was super easy to book online. We got there and I wasn't sure if you pay for the rage room and axe throwing or if it was just one or the other. It only paid for the axe throwing so we did that, and then when you pay it's for 60 mins. The instructor was awesome and helpful. Lots of different fun games you can play as well. They have other items you can throw other than the axes. We threw the ninja stars and those were super easy and fun to use. We didn't use the rage room but saw people using them and looked super fun. I will definitely be back in the future and would recommend to others! read more

This was a fun, social double-date with friends. At first my wife was jumpy when the axe clamored on the floor. After 15 minutes, she was consistently hitting her targets. She even split a playing card in half! So, I married an axe thrower. It was fun, the games were challenging, and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Phat axe is sort of hiding in this little shopping center, but once you go in the owner greets you in a welcoming manner. He has some wavers you have to sign before playing. This was our first time going in and we didn't really know what to expect. The owner was kind enough to walk us through and show us how to throw the axe. He demonstrated a few different throws for us and than we were left to throw axes for a while. After a while of practicing he came back and gave us a game to play we really enjoyed throwing axes. Drove a ways to get there only to be told our gift certificate wasn't redeemable even though it didn't have an expiration date. We got a "sorry" and were sent on our way. We decided to go here for a family outing and what a blast it was! The owner was great with explaining to us how to adjust our stance to get the most out of our experience. Axe throwing is fun, but feeling safe while doing it is important. Phat Axe is located in a small strip mall, and has about 4 axe throwing bays. Each bay is probably 12' x 10', and accommodates three targets each. The problem is that the throwing line is located outside the start of the bay's chain link fence, which means if someone to your right or left loses control of their axe, there is no fencing to protect you from a wayward axe. Complicating the issue is that two of the bays are on the north wall, and two are on the south wall, back to back, and the clearance and walking space between them is crowded. Benches and a small desk separate these back to back bays, but no other physical barriers to prevent wayward axes released too early from behind. There's probably only 10' of clearance between the bays in this configuration. Given that you typically take a step to throw the axe, that's not a lot of space, and you can be nearly back-to-back with a stranger... holding an axe. People and instructors are forced to haphazardly meander in this small no-mans land between the bays in this configuration. Frankly, I'm surprised the city of American Fork allowed this place to be configured the way it is, my junior high wood shop was safer, and had clear lines and boundaries painted on the floors. It's a great place to throw axes, if you're alone, but it's only a matter of time before someone is seriously injured there. Think hard before signing the waiver! read more

This place is amazing! I did the smash room with 2 other family members & we loved it. Smashing bottles & electronics with crow bars or bats. Using Alexa music to pick our favorite songs.
