After perusing reviews on Yelp we decided to give JR a call and he came out to the house. We were a little surprised that he only had one sample to show us. He only uses the Norman Blinds, and they don't have the traditional vertical bar that enables opening and closing. We really liked JR, though, and decided to go with the Norman Blinds, even though they were a little different from what we had been expecting. One cool thing about the Normans is that you can close the bottom 1/3rd portion of the blinds while leaving the top open, which is nice when you want some light but don't want people outside to see in. We also have two very skinny windows which border the sides of our front door. Very creepy to have people look in the windows at you (and they do!). We ended up ordering shutters for those as well. It took a couple months for the blinds to come in, but the guys who came to install them did a fantastic job. They even wore foot booties so as not to dirty my white carpet. They were very nice and respectful. Once up, the shutters looked awesome. We love them. I love being able to close them tightly at night and love how dark the bedroom stays in the mornings. It actually is much nicer *not* having a vertical bar running up the blinds that obstructs our view. I plan to eventually have some of our other windows done as well, as soon as it's in the budget. Our experience with JR and Classic Shutters was a very good one.

So if we were out and about and all of the sudden rain hit or high winds picked up, the sensor will automatically retract the awning to prevent any damage. The smart mechanism, anemometer type wind sensor or front bar motion sensor made it so that the retractable awning will automatically be retracted if the sensor records a speed above the threshold you have set. Generally, it is recommend that the threshold be anywhere between 15 - 20 mph, for folding lateral arm awnings and 30 - 35mph for retractable patio / deck pergolas, but you can always change this in the future based on local wind conditions of your area. Water-resistant means the awning is able to resist the penetration of water to some degree but not entirely. Waterproof means it is impervious to water. It was a very nice upgrade for the new home buyers. Staff was very friendly and we enjoyed the new addition to our backyard.

Once we agreed to the type and pricing for these Vistamark windows and a small down payment provided; Mark and Adam scheduled their installer to come out the following week. Scott came out about a week later to refine the measurements exactly. The windows were ordered shortly thereafter through their Waxahachie plant for Vistamark windows. Adam was available if needed but once the pricing was agreed upon there wasn't a lot of need for our interaction with a few exceptions. Adam responded promptly when text or called. In summary we are happy with these beautiful new, energy efficient windows, having replaced our builder grade windows from 24 years ago.
