I was in the mood for Thai food and wanted to try a new place close by. I saw that this restaurant had good reviews overall and was quite excited. But I'm saddened to Say that the food I received from this restaurant was extremely lackluster overall. I ordered Pepper garlic pork, baby carrot chicken, teriyaki salmon, and pad Thai noodles. Every single one of these dishes were very muted and lacking in flavor. On top of that the meat in all the dishes were very dry even though they were sitting in a pool of sauce. Even the pad Thai noodles was relatively flavorless. I've never had that happen before and I've tried many Thai food restaurants. I also selected mild spiciness for the chicken and yet it tastes extraordinarily spicy. Overall very disappointed. I wouldn't recommend trying this location. Sorry to say. read more

The restaurant is a small location in a shopping center. Decent amount of parking. The food can take a little while to be made so I would recommend calling ahead. I started ordering from Awesome Thai during the covid pandemic and loved it! I left town for a few months and ordered last night and was incredibly disappointed. I go the papaya salad and mango sticky rice. Papaya salad (extra spicy) - no real taste, not spicy at all, the only thing I could taste the raw papaya (not a good taste). Super disappointing. Mango sticky rice - tiny portion for 8 dollars. Mango was not fresh and was darker in color upon opening it. I wouldn't even say it was sweet. The coconut "sauce" was strange in color and very sweet - tasted like high fructose syrup. They also package everything in styrofoam - seriously? I won't be coming here any longer. read more

Exceptional Thai food - I have yet to find a better spot in the Van Nuys area! I ordered the Drunken Noodles and Chicken Pad Thai for takeout. The food was fresh and ready to go when I arrived. The restaurant has taken extra precautions during the Covid-19 pandemic by sealing the food containers in plastic. I saw some reviews mentioning that certain items were expensive, however I found the opposite to be true. I don't know where else you can find a large dinner portion for $9. Affordable prices + top quality flavorful dishes. It was my first time purchasing their food on Friday and I legit bought it again on Sunday, it was that good! I tried both pick up and delivery too, both were great. They have a small location that's only delivery or pick up only, I believe. We tried their Beef Penang, crispy wonton, combo fried rice and duck fried rice. Their meat ratio to rice was perfect imo and the flavor was so good! I've given them a try a couple of times but I feel this was my last time there. New owners have become somewhat greedy with their portions or sauces. I posted a complaint yesterday because I needed to use the restroom as I have many times in the past without issue. No one is in the store, it's for customers but I was told, "IT'S CLOSED". Silly. I was in food management, a district manager of 11 stores for years, after working very hard for several years managing stores myself so I know how customers should be treated. Our goal was simple: Great food, great service. It' s pretty easy really. But it astonishes me time after time how restaurants spend tens if not hundreds of thousands of dollars trying to get customers in the door yet once they're there do something ridiculous to assure they'll not only never come back will twell many people her experience. WORD OF MOUTH IS THE #1 way to bring in business or in this case, chase it away. A COMPLAINT IS A CUTOMER GIVING THE ESTABLISHMENT A CHANCE TO FIX THE PROBLEM! Most people just won't bother to ever come back, so I thought this manager would want to know what was happening when she wasn't there.TO MY SHOCK she answered my review saying because I WAS A "DELIVERY PERSON", NOT A CUSTOMER, I WAS NOT ALLOWED TO USE HER RESTROOM. First of all, I AM... I MEAN WAS A CUSTOMER as WAS MY ENTIRE FAMILY & FREINDS. I LIVE IN THE LAS VEGAS COUNTRY CLUB RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET & WE PURCHASED FOOD THERE ALL THE TIME. The ignorance is astonishing. So they view delivery drivers who get their food to their customers, who without, they would be using their own car, gas & time, are such low class peasants that we ARE NOT ALLOWED TO USE HER RESTROOM. All of her hard work, all of her employees hard work ( & food work is extremely hard & exhausting) has all been damaged because why? Were they afraid I was going to steal toilet paper? make it dirty? hide & refuse to come out, break something, rob the place with the toilet plunger ...WHAT?! Why anger a CUSTOMER for something so stupid? Like I said, I will never understand & if she would have been 1 of my managers, I would have terminated her for being so rude & ridiculous to customers. Between my family, my son's & their wives families, my husbands buddies that come over & watch sports, my teens who like to have food & friends over after school & the weekends, I can go on & on (.that all stops now), this establishment will lose several hundreds of dollars every month. All that money will now go to buy food somewhere where they don't view DELIVERY DRIVERS as persons so low that they don't deserve the privledge of using the common bathroom. You win girl! I won't use your restroom. Happy? Unhappy customers tell an average of 10 people about their negative experience. I'm not unhappy. No. I'M LIVID & this complaint will go on yelp, Google, Reddit, notifying delivery drivers from Grub Hub, Uber Eats & Doordash what Awesome Thai's view of them is & their restroom policies. I also think the health dept should be notified just in case there is a problem in that restroom that needs to be addressed. I'm disabled & being such means your supposed to make the proper accommodations so the ADA people should be notified too. I should have said something? No, no one should have to point out they're disabled in order to use your public restroom," customers only" was me, weather I was eating & purchasing your food or delivering it for you. That's a ridiculous policy anyway. If no one is in your restroom, why do you care? Then again maybe it was my skin color. Hard to say so in order to protect future people from experiencing the same treatment I'm receiving, I will be sure to notify all entities to educate this owner on how to treat all human beings respectfully & appropriately, not just the ones that are handing her money. After all of this education that's coming your way, I truly hope you're enlightened & it helps you run an even happier & more profitable restaurant. I truly mean that. read more

I can't believe I have been living in Canoga Park for so long and never tried this restaurant before! I ordered a large sample of items from their menu to test them out, and I must say, I was not disappointed. My favorite dish was easily the tofu pad see ew, and my boyfriend's was the spicy chicken pad thai. We got some veggie rolls for an appetizer, which was crunchy and delicious, and the mango sweet rice + banana rolls with ice cream for dessert. Not only was everything super yummy, but the delivery was cheap, fast, AND they found my house even though I accidentally typed in my address wrong. I highly recommend ordering directly through their website, as I guarantee their delivery drivers are better than Postmates or Grubhub. When they couldn't find my house, they called and stayed on the phone with me until the food got into my hands, which I really appreciated. 10/10, can't wait to order here again. read more
