Heather is very responsive to all forms of communication. My cats are deathly afraid of people, but Heather was able to send me pictures of them hiding under the bed every day. She made the pick up and drop off of the key super easy and was available to work on a holiday. I appreciate the ability to pay online as well. I also like that she had us sign paperwork for vet treatment as needed ahead of time. We're planning another trip in October and looking forward to seeing if she is successful at getting them to interact with her.

She took the time to understand my dog's needs, her motivations, and how to best work with her. While I was in China for 10 days, Heather and her team were very accommodating and responsive with working with my boyfriend to take care of her. They took her for walks in the middle of the day, and texted my boyfriend a report each day with how it went. They gave her treats (with our permission) and lots of pets after each walk- so I know my dog was living the life of luxury! I was really thankful for Puget Paws, and would recommend them to anyone! The little brat, despite being rather large *cough obese cough whale cough* and a much feared big bad pit bull at that, is petrified of mommy's little nail clippers. So I did a little google search, "how to cut little brat pitbulls long nails" and found nothing at all helpful, me just as I was about to give up all hope- i found it, the perfect solution to my tedious problem. I found a short clip of a woman who also has a brat with long nails, and she ingeniously wrapped her own head with shrink wrap of a sort, and then smeared peanut butter all over her shrink wrapped head, and her little bratty butt dog licked and licked away, while genius mommy took the moment of distraction to do the job. So I took off down the road to my neighborhood pet store, About Pets. And although, I did not return with peanut butter or shrink wrap, I did find a snuffle mat with a clever detachable silicone slab with grooves in it, AND suction cups, perfect for the dreaded and much feared bath day events of mine. Totally awesome. Anyway, none of that was important, but I felt the background details would be pleasant incase another Yelper has big bad scarcdy cats with such anxieties alike. But anyway x2, this locally owned pet store is great. Love it. The man behind the pet shoppe, Nole, freakin genius himself too. Real terrific guy. Know his stuff, very knowledgeable about pets. No greeting when we walked in so I greeted the visible employee by saying "First time customers" , "We are just looking." In about two minutes, he asked again what specifically I was looking for? I said we were literally just looking. My dog is spoiled, if something pops out, she'll get it. About two minutes later again, he said specifically, what are you looking for?! My GF decided to respond "he's just looking at the harnesses, but we're just looking at your store." I asked if he was closing soon or was there some sort of rush because we are "just looking". He said no, well yes 30 minutes. And again asked is there a specific harness you're looking for? His tone and demeanor suggested we were bothering him extremely, so walked out said thank you and I apologize for interrupting your day. Turns out it is a waste of anybody's time to go into this guy's store. Avoid About Pets on hwy99 for all reasons listed in the reviews above. Rude customer service. Disheveled store, and I actually didn't even get to make it to look at the dog food, but my girlfriend says there was a very poor selection and most likely will assume that it's probably expired as well. We used Pawz4Pawz a couple of times. The last time we used them, there were a couple of days that…read morethey didn't check in with the app for a visit or they checked in at odd times. I asked them about it through text messages while on vacation, and they said the app was having "issues". We have 3 cats who need to eat twice a day (one of which requires medication twice daily). They were entering our home through our garage that keeps a log of the date/time it is opened/closed. When we got home from vacation, we checked our logs and found that what was showing on the pet app was accurate. They hadn't shown up for two visits and came extremely late for others. When we confronted them, they denied it and said they had come twice a day every day. Since our cats were alive and appeared fine, we didn't push it. However, I know they did not show up for a couple of visits which is completely irresponsible, unacceptable, and negligent. I would not recommend their services to anyone.
