Exchanged a few texts, got a quote for $45.00 for the glare strip. Made the appointment for today. I called ahead and was quoted $250 to repair my sunroof before making the drive to this shop. When I arrived, the place seemed busy, which gave me confidence that I had chosen a reputable business. The staff confirmed the quoted price but said they were too busy to complete the repair that day and asked if I could leave the vehicle until the following day. I agreed and left my car with them. A few hours later, I received a call saying that after inspecting the sunroof, additional parts were supposedly broken and the repair would now cost $750 instead of the original $250 quote. This raised concerns for me, as it felt like a bait and switch situation. Rather than moving forward, I picked up my vehicle and sought a second opinion. Another glass company came To my home (it was a mobile service) completed the repair for $300. The technician there told me there was no indication that anyone had previously inspected the sunroof, and the additional repairs and replacement sunroof I had been told were necessary were not needed. Based on my experience, I would encourage anyone getting a quote from this company to obtain a second opinion if the price changes significantly after the fact. This is the 3rd time I've taken my vehicle to Avalos for tinting. The first 2 times went off…read morewithout a hitch and I was very happy. I decided I wanted to take my front windows darker to combat the Las Vegas sun. Everything went well, the windows look great but as I sat down in the driver seat, I noticed black on my passenger side window. I got out to take a look and noticed that my entire window stripping had been melted. I asked the sweet lady at the front if they use heat guns when removing/installing and she confirmed they did (they had to remove the previous tint). She went into the back and brought out another lady and I explained that my window stripping did not look like this when I got there. She since has told me that this was not because of them, it's because of the sun and heat when rolling my window up and down. Mind you, their establishment is indoors, so if it wasn't like that when I gave it to them, there is only one way it could have happened. They did not offer me any sort of discount, or even an apology. Unfortunately, due to this incident, I will not be returning to this establishment. $200 and a melted window stripping later, I'll now have to pay to get this replaced. **UPDATE: they have since reached out and apologized and have offered to cover the cost of replacement.**
