I had the opportunity to start out w Ms G and another group of great professors, then ended with Ms Castro & Mr. Smith and some new professors which were great as well. This program is no joke. It's hard, tests you, and I promise you those sleepless nights will be worth it. With that being said I was offered phone numbers after hours, tutoring, and if you knew me I ask a BUNCH of questions so I stayed after a lot. In between classes they would stop by the tables ask if I needed help with anything, just to say hello, or to reserve/open the lab. Of course the grading scale is NOT IDEAL but again RT is a serious role ... ask around this program isn't easy anywhere. This program takes alot but with Ms Castro and Mr. Smiths guidance I believe it's doable. Main advice ask ask ask. I canNOT leave out Ms. Marilyn Quindo that has helped me with EVERYTHING and kept my semesters in line with all that comes along with this program, she made my life easier! Front desk girls are the best, personable, positive attitudes and trust me that's great to see after no sleep on some days. Thank you TARA! Fast forward to now. (Still talk to Ms G) Ms.Castro/Smith is still in contact with me, helped me with some great advice with my boards, I continued to go on campus after being done, and now new grad interviews. This program has the ability to get you there you just need to give it the chance! Thanks always guys.

Just know if you decide to go here, you will have no support. Even if you follow everything you are told to do, you will still be discriminated against at a personal level. The teachers will have temper tantrums and that will result in 0s at random, even if you didn't do anything wrong. You'll be fully ignored when you raise up these concerns. And just when you think you've graduated and is over, just know it's not. If you care about your education, this school will haunt you even after. You've been warned.

I attended Concorde from 2024-2025 in their PTA Program. Graduated and Passed the NPTAE…read more I want to start by saying that the program had its ups and its downs. It is not a perfect program, however, Dr. Verba (Director of the PTA Program) works hard and does her best to make it a perfect program along w/ Dr. K (Director of Clinical Education) and Ms. MD (Professor). They do their best to help students get through the program by taking the time to sit down with students who are showing signs of struggle and anyone else who asks for help. So make sure to ask for help. It is imperative that before entering the program, you speak to Dr. Verba about any potential struggles or concern you may face during the 20 months. BE HONEST W/ YOURSELF. Dr. Verba and her team's goal is to help us students pass the NPTAE (National Physical Therapist Assistant Exam) and get a job after. Now, time to talk about the program. There are a total of 8 terms consisting of 10 weeks each (unless this changes over time), w/ only a few days off in between each term. So for the next 20 months, this program will be THE PRIORITY. Personally, I had to put my life on the side with my priorities being the program, my girlfriend and my family. I spoke to my friends ahead of time, and let them know that my time will be limited but that does not mean I did not have time for them at all. It's all about time management and making sure I still prioritized my studies. The first 2 terms will be general education classes. This can be different w/ each student. I came from CSUN and wanted to find a way to progress myself in the field of PT w/out breaking my bank. This was the next best step for me. My GE credits were transferred from CSUN and I was able to bypass some of the classes allowing me to work and go to school in the first 2 terms. In terms 3-4, things started to really pick up and get harder. This is when I stopped going to work and was a full time student. Majority of my time was studying and really understanding the material. I try to come in with a positive smile and eagerness to learn. I always tried to be the first to volunteer when needed for demonstration of any special tests due to my learning style being hands on. I recommend figuring out your preference of learning style as it helps you really grasp the material. Of course the textbook will be your holy bible or holy text. Term 3-4 will be the terms that "Make you or break you." It is the hardest of the program. In my cohort, this is where we lost majority of our class. I highly recommend asking for help. Ms. MD once told me, "people who go to open lab or ask for help, sometimes aren't actually the ones who need the help." And that really speaks volumes as it shows the dedication of these students. In terms 5-6, things start to fit together and make sense (at least for me). DO NOT LET UP ON STUDYING bc that will be your downfall and result in grades to fall. The memorization items, along with the conceptual items become to make sense. It made sense to me because we put what we learned into practice. This is also where you will be prepared for your clinical rotations. 1st round of clinicals is the last 6 weeks of term 6. So be prepared. Read the textbook and continue to study. Its as simple as that. In terms 7-8, you continue w/ clinical rotations. The first 4 weeks of Term 7, you will have class and then sent out to clinical rotation the last 6 weeks. You will then have a slight break (might be different w/ each cohort depending on schedule) and beginning of term 8, the first 6 weeks will be the 3rd and final clinical rotation. During clinical rotation, it is important to NOT slack off on studying. Again, this program is to prepare you to pass the NPTAE at the end of the program so if you slack off on studying, you will fall behind when you return for the last 4 weeks of Term 8 as review for NPTAE begins and continues again after the term ends. Your future self will thank you that you put in the effort to study during your clinical rotation as studying for the NPTAE will be slightly easier. Reviewing old material from terms 3-6 is important. Once you have finished the term, you will then prepare for the NPTAE with a class that is optional, but highly recommend going. Trust in Dr. Verba. When you have doubt, express it privately to Dr. Verba. She has been doing this for who knows how long now (sorry Dr. Verba if you read this. Not intentional on calling out your age Hahaha) BUT Dr. Verba is experienced in this, she has been creating questions to submit to the board. Dr. Verba knows what can be expected in the NPTAE. If you are unsure about going to concorde for the PTA program, I understand. It is a commitment. Reach out to me if you have any specific questions about my experience. I am happy to share. Lastly, I want to thank the faculty. They work hard, and is underappreciated by the students. Thank You again.

Buyer Beware - Undisclosed Expiration Fees…read more I purchased a Groupon for two discovery flights for $180.20. I later learned it expired on 11/8/25. Groupon's fine print states the amount paid remains redeemable after expiration. As of 1/9/26, the company's current price is $100 per flight (the original Groupon price was $93.60 each). When I called the number ending in 1110, I offered to use my credit and pay the difference. Instead, I was told there is an undisclosed expiration fee of $70 per voucher, totaling $140, charged for no reason other than expiration. They refused to apply my paid credit unless I paid this fee. This results in a $140 loss, despite the flight costing $100 today. This policy was never disclosed upfront and feels punitive and misleading. Due to this experience, my wife will not pursue her PPL with this company. If transparency matters to you, proceed with caution.

My instructor was Nick, and he was absolutely wonderful. He was very supportive and congenial, taking his time to thoroughly and efficiently explain the basics. He was very encouraging and always made me feel safe. Part of the package had me actually take off, climb to about 2500 to 3000 ft and learn some basic maneuvers like a steep turn and going weightless by pulling up then pulling out on the throttle and diving - it was so exhilerating. The whole time Nick sat next to me keeping an eye on the millions of other things to keep us safe like monitoring air traffic for other nearby planes, handling the fuel mixture, and taking control of the plane when necessary. I have to say, it's got me interested at this point to going for a license. But if you're anyone who's ever wondered about what it's like to fly, I can't recommend NextGen (and more specifically instructor Nick) - it's a great price for the experience of a lifetime.

I agree with a couple of these comments. This school does not deserve to be called a "141" flight…read moreschool, which usually calls for more structure, and high quality in thorough flight instruction. There is an extreme lack of consistency, organization and professionalism. I am always bumped around the schedule and switched off between different flight instructors who hardly know where to start because they're not sure what I've done, what I need help on, and how to even organize a thorough flight training session. Many CFIs even rush through preflight procedures if the student is taking too long. I've only been there for a little over three months, and have already been with six different instructors. I'm only still here because I made the unwise decision of putting lump sums on the flight training account, assuming that this school would be great(they have a policy that does not allow students to take money out of the account once it has been deposited). They do not follow an organized curriculum, as a 141 should, and prioritize the foreign students because they "pay more" and are set for a "faster career track" despite you paying a great deal of money too (heard from a discussion between CFI's). Edit (reply to owner/comment below): I asked if I could possibly take the money out the account, and was told that California Aviation Services does not allow that. I never said you had an "upfront policy", rather, I said you had/have a "no-refund policy". This is the only "item" you seem to clearly disagree with. Yes, you agree that you prioritize other/full-time (foreign) students, which is what I said. However, if you're 141, which is what I searched, asked about and paid for, then students shouldn't have to compete for time/flight spots. If a paying student makes a flight reservation, they should not be bumped to another time, rescheduled to another day, or put off entirely for a week or two, simply because of another student. I literally sat on this school's wait-list for three months so that I could (from what I was told) be given promised time and a set/consistent schedule for flight training. Also, I've never seen or discussed a syllabus/set plan to follow through with for flight training. Most of the flight instruction I've had does not seem thought out/planned, but rather random "go with the flow". I just recently met and hardly see you, much less see you review any flight/ground instruction during sessions. What's nonchalantly checked off by some CFIs does not equate to following or assure of a set plan/syllabus. I appreciate your refund for the remaining funds on my account.

I relocated from the Bay Area to Riverside during my PPL training due to an Air Force PCS to March…read moreARB. I chose this school for convenience and because they advertised Piper Archers, which I had been flying, but upon arrival I was told they had sold them, so I transitioned to their Cessnas. After about 15 to 20 hours, I was becoming comfortable in the new aircraft. During a short field landing, I applied firm braking as part of the maneuver. On a hot day, the left main tire failed. I took responsibility and agreed to cover the cost of the tire replacement. I was then charged $300, while a document at their front desk clearly listed Tire and Labor as $222. When I raised the discrepancy, I was told over the phone the difference would be refunded. About a week later, I received an email stating the refund would not be issued and that the form had been rectified to match the higher price. Because of this incident, I was told I was not a good fit for the school and was advised to train elsewhere. Flight training is already a significant financial commitment, and situations like this make cost transparency even more important. The issue here is not the tire, it is the inconsistent pricing and reversal after acknowledging the discrepancy. Being shown one price and charged another, then having it changed after the fact, is not a good standard for a training environment. I would strongly recommend prospective students get all pricing and policies clearly in writing before committing, or consider training elsewhere.

Our instructor was great, I felt safe as I learned and he wasn't hesitant to any answer.
