Danny Hudson is the real deal. He responded to all my emails promptly, often within 15 minutes. He provided a rock solid DV report. Progressive tried to low ball me, but Danny provided me with exactly what to say. Ultimately, Progressive caved and offered close to the appraised amount. read more

Danny fought the insurance company and got me close to 6k more than they were offering for my total loss. I would use him again in a heartbeat. He did an amazing job for a great price. He responded to emails when there were important updates and did a great job negotiating. The negative reviews need to understand that not accepting the first offer is a good negotiating tactic and it adds time, but is very effective. If you have patience, Danny will deliver. read more

Horrible service. Did not respond to multiple emails, and then signed a settlement without consulting me. Then began to curse and argue on Friday night over email, threatening legal action if I post an honest review. Most importantly, they misled me to get the business before going dark, telling me the car was worth $5k more, then not providing any information until after they signed away my rights to the insurance company for a settlement they felt was fair. read more

Danny Hudson was incredibly unresponsive. He did his job of getting me $3k more than the insurance company was offering on my total loss, for my custom stereo. But it took more than a month, during which he rarely responded to "How's the process going" emails and when he did respond it was gruff like "I don't know what you expect me to say; the ball is in the other adjuster's court", as if I should somehow know that without him saying so. When you pay $375 to a random person over the internet and then they ghost you, it does not inspire confidence. He never even inspected the vehicle; the only reason I went with him was that he sounded like he was local in Austin, but I see reviews from other areas and wonder if he even has the capability to inspect vehicles. Just basic customer service could go a long way towards better reviews. Let people know what to expect, answer questions from people going through an unfamiliar process. read more

After Danny Hudson assured me he would assist through the process of my diminished value claim, he did not return emails for over a month. (I found out later he hadn't replied to the insurance company's appraiser either.) He never answered a single question throughout the entire process. I finally charged back the fee. Through multiple emails and attempts to find out the status of the claim, I told him every time that I'd reinstate the fee if he'd just update me on the status of the negotiation. He inexplicably and incredibly refused to answer any questions whatsoever or give me any update on the status of the claim. He then gave me an ultimatum and replied, "Not going back and forth any more." There had been no back or forth. Just his refusal to answer anything. I repeated that I'd reinstate the fee if he updated me. After calling the insurance company's original offer of $692 a "joke" (which it was) and originally appraising the diminished value at $5,100 he reduced the offer without my knowledge and agreed to $800 (the insurance company told me he was the one that made the low offer), which they readily accepted. Then he sent me this last email: "I DID have a great settlement for you. You will find out shortly. Have a great 2024." I don't believe he ever had a good settlement, and I was able to reverse the decision with the insurance company, but I wish I had seen the other Yelp reviews before going with him in the first place. Sounds like others have had similar issues. Apparently, it's either his way or no way. Hopefully this saves someone else the time and effort. ---------------- In response to his reply, I have better things to do than try to con an appraiser out of $375 and I only take the time to write the review because he purposefully tried to tank the negotiation. This reply is the most information I've received in a month and a half. The month of non-replies started Dec 7 and ran through Jan 8. I and many others celebrate Christmas and still manage to reply to simple update emails. I'll let my and the other 1-, 2- and 3- star reviews on here speak for themselves. Believe who you will. read more

This company is a joke. Paid for service up front and never rewarded as promised. The owner of this company Danny Hudson took my money saying with his diminished value report I will be able to receive an amount of money worth $2000-$5000 from the insurance company, and goes on bragging about how his 20 years of experience have won so many cases in the past and I believed him. After waited for a week, I finally received his report. When I opened the report he sent and looked, I wasn't sure if this is a joke... The document looked amateur. I went ahead and submitted to StateFarm insurance company filing for diminished value claim using Danny's supporting document and the insurance company won't take his report and only willing to settle with $300, and told me this document isn't legit and has no base of claims. Then, I tried to reach out to Danny and told him what the insurance company said, he then referred me to two of his attorney friends to file for small civil sue and bringing this matter to court. I believed him again, and called two of his attorneys, none of them would take the case, and the second lawyer said there is no chance of winning and I will have to pay him more than the diminish value claim I am filing as lawyer fee. When I asked him for refund, he simply won't give me my money back with the useless report I purchased from him. When I reach out to BBB for dispute, he threatens me that he will sue me for defamation. I hope this review will save many others from the future. read more

AVR Group Auto Appraisers Inc - Appraisal Services Near Me - Houston, Texas

Acted like inspection was gonna happen, then took my money and ran. Communication stopped. I gave up. Stay away.

Great at taking your money. Not so great at providing the services you pay for. No response to emails. Beware!

The process was very simple. I called them on a Friday, they came out Saturday, I got the report/submitted to insurance on Tuesday, insurance approved the full amount Friday. Done! AVR warned me that this insurance company has been particularly hard to deal with lately and sent me detailed instructions for the interaction, but their report was comprehensive and, apparently, irrefutable. Well worth the money for the appraisal. read more

Insurance companies are scammers and will try to cheat you out of what's rightfully yours. I was tired of arguing with them and was nearing settlement with the ridiculous offer they gave me for my diminished values claim, until I came across Danny's business online. I told him that I was skeptical and he understood.. but suggested that I call my advisors over at Sterling McCall Lexus and West Side Lexus and to ask about his services. Sure enough, he checked out; They told me his name when I asked them for a diminished values appraiser before I even asked.. said he was the best in the business. Danny, I cant thank you enough for your ability to help me beat the insurance company.. and for talking me through every step of the way. Danny was able to help me fight for an extra 2k on top of what they were initially offering. Danny Hudson is indeed the best in the business! read more

After researching for appraisers in the Houston area, I contacted Mr. Hudson on 2/21/2020 regarding a total loss of my custom truck. I had been battling my insurance company since 11/2019 as they would not take in consideration any of the custom/performance work. Mr. Hudson dealt directly with the insurance company's appraiser to come to an agreed value and I have settled at over 6k from what the insurance company initially offered me. Mr. Hudson is very professional, responsive & communicative. read more

I hired Mr hudson for an expertise on a car, he subcontracted the work, without warning me, to a so-called expert (Sergio Toti) who is not able to see if an engine turns freely. I am very unhappy with the report he gave me that does not show all the defects of the vehicle. read more

It is no surprise that with all the recent weather events massively impacting the insurance business that they have become increasingly more challenging, if not even combative, to deal with. My wife was involved in a rear end accident in June which did significant damage to her car. The at fault party was insured and so we moved forward to get the car repaired. It was extensive and took almost 2 months. I knew I had to file a diminished value claim and I knew it was going to be a fight, so I looked for a professional to assist me. I was referred to Danny Hudson and after speaking with him felt confident in his firms abilities to assist me. Once the car was repaired he did an evaluation and prepared a report. The report was extremely comprehensive and laid out a strong case as to why the value was impacted. From a mechanical assessment of the repair to a market evaluation of the car and the impact of the wreck on the value, it covered the full scope. You have to have a basis for your argument on lost value, or the insurance company will fob you off with a pittance. Danny also provides you with a step by step guide on how to move through the process from submission to counter arguments if necessary. I submitted the claim and as expected the insurance company low balled me....I asked to speak to a supervisor and was then able to have an intelligent conversation. They reviewed my claim with a different 3rd party and came back to me with a very fair offer which was only @17% below the assessed loss of value by Danny. (The first offer was 75% below my claim). Bottom line is that the value for money they provide is excellent. To have an effective result you have to have a convincing and plausible argument, and that is what Danny Hudson and his team provide you with. read more

Very professional. Did great work for me. Helped me recover a lot more than the insurance company was offering. I recommend this company to friends and coworkers. read more

I would not recommend AVR Auto Appraisers for anything! - Especially Mr. Danny Hudson. Mr Hudson was my "Expert Witness" in a lawsuit against a Large Insurance Company and did not show up for court on 2 separate occasions. He would not even return text messages from my lawyer or the Judge while we were waiting on him to arrive. The first time he cancelled 6 days prior to my trial stating he had to go on vacation. The second time he failed to show up was an hour before the trial stating "Health Issues" We attempted to contact him on many occasions after the trial because we were very worried about his health. As far as I know he has yet to contact my lawyer or myself. To say the least, I lost my case and a very large sum of money! There were several questions about Mr. Hudson's Appraisal Report that only Mr Hudson could adequately answer. I would never ever recommend The AVR Appraisal Group for anything!! read more

Got me over $3000 more that what was offered. Very professional and experienced. Highly recommend.
