This horrifying massage has ended up costing me $650 so far. She started me on my back, manipulated my neck for at least 15 minutes before I had to walk out and have felt like I've been in a car accident since. I've been to three Chiropractic visits to fix what she did and another Massage (at a different reputable therapeutic establishment) and I'm still in pain I would not recommend this establishment. We reached out to the owner to tell her what happened and she wouldn't even refund the massage fee but gave some half ass discount to return and then would never return our calls to even make an appointment. It was so good the first time, we went back 3 days later. Shashanna worked through all the knots in my neck and shoulders the first day, then Maria worked on releasing fluid and massaging scar tissue in my knee the second day. My wife and I were in Destin in early March 2020. This was just at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. We decided to get a massage and started looking around Yelp at various places. We stumbled upon this place. After reading a few reviews, we decided to go ahead and book our couples massage for later in the week. Our two masseuses were Iwona and Cheryl. Truly fantastic massages. My experience with Cheryl (and my wife's with Iwona) was fantastic. We did the 80 minute couples massage. Their attention to detail and focus on the problem areas was superb. They really took their time with some problem areas and focused on areas of need. The amount of pressure they applied was perfect. They checked in enough where I could have her apply more or less pressure depending on what I needed. A really great massage. The actual amenities are comfortable. It is located in a remodeled house that has been turned into a spa. It is not a high dollar day spa experience. If you're wanting to get into a hot tub or sauna first this is not the place. However, if you're wanting to get a really good massage, I recommend him wholeheartedly. I don't think he will be disappointed. Bottom line - A really good massage that is not going to break the bank. If you are looking for other amenities such as a spa or manicures/pedicures, this is not the place. My wife and I booked a couples massage with them. We both have had a few other professional massages before. We both agreed that this was the best that we have ever experienced. My wife had Iwona and she said she was perfect! I asked for a deep tissue (I had never had one before) and Marni was my masseuse. My wife and I had two very different experiences. My massage from Carol was very relaxing. We both booked deep tissue but neither one of us got one. That ok! I could have asked her to go deeper but it felt really nice so I decided not to. My wife, however, had one of the top 3 worst massages of her life. Susan was her therapist. She said it felt like she just spread oil over her body and did not even know if she was a legit massage therapist. There was nothing deep tissue about it, not even Swedish. My wife actually left feeling worse. She said if I was not getting a massage she would have walked out. Both women were very nice, but avoid Susan. read more

Felt amazing!! One of the greatest massage I've ever received. I came here with my partner and received a couple's massage. I had a great amount of knots in my shoulders and the masseuse was able to get it all! They listened carefully to all the problem spots I had, and helped me feel so much better! As of COVID precautions, I do think that they can do better by wearing a mask at the reception/waiting room, but as soon as they noticed us wearing a mask, they put their masks on for us. As a client, we have an option to remove the mask throughout the session, but with the medical mask I was wearing, I didn't feel suffocated or any trouble of breathing. read more

Had the best deep tissue massage in my life here. At this little gem spa in Destin, the environment is really good, with calm music and really nice citrus-based smell. Came with my friends during Thanksgiving vacation and we made reservation. They were really kind enough to wait for us when we called in cuz we were late for 10 min. Parking is really easy. All the ladies there are so welcoming and sweet. The pressure of the lady for my massage is just perfect! I always feel my previous massages at other places are too light and they're just rubbing me. Me and my mother came here on vacation to get Massages. We both got an hourly hot stone and oil. My mother took to it well and was easily relaxed. I have been in a car accident that messed up my neck and back and I communicated that to my masseuse. She was so wonderful because I had a hard time relaxing. Honestly, I thought the building and location was shady at first. Boy was I wrong! Carol was superb! She listened to my needs and tailored the massage to fit me perfectly. My wife came in for a massage. We were told it would be 75.00 she put on her paperwork she would like medium to hard massage. Her massage was ok, the lady used hot towels but was not heavy handed. She tried to gently work out her sore muscles but from a sitting position, so it was not deep. When it came time to check out we were told it was 85.00 because it was deep tissue. She did not receive a deep tissue & we were up charged when we walked out. The store was clean & the people were friendly but we will most likely try another place next time. read more

On a recent vacation to the Destin area I decided to treat myself to a massage. After reading reviews and checking ratings, I settled on Avona's. My massage was right up there with the best ever!! My therapiist, Mike, was professional, polite, and made sure that I was comfortable and relaxed. It was 90 heavenly minutes and Mike not only used the hot stones masterfully, but found every little knot of tension. They offer several kinds of services there, and the prices are reasonable. I did have to provide my credit card number upon reserving a time over the phone to protect against a "no show." If ever return to the area, I will return to Avona's and request Mike. read more
