I started going here about 3 years ago, I first called up there and spoke with the #1 barber in Indy, Zach, and after checking to see how long the wait was I headed up there. This barbershop could have a reality TV show all of its own there and they like to have fun and cut up - pun intended. The owner always has donuts, some type of candy and stuff for the children and they keep it clean for all guests. I've seen this place packed with about 30 chairs full of people waiting and people standing and only being on about an hour or so wait. The barbers in here really take pride in their work, their clients always come back and you become a regular and involved in conversation very easily in this fun, laid back atmosphere. If you are not a million percent happy with your barber, go to Avon barber shop, ask for Zach, tell him Josh Davis sent you and experience the difference of why I will drive across town to go to Avon barbershop, you'll be glad you did! Let' me start this with saying the person that greeted me was super friendly and kind. After arriving 15 minutes early for a beard cut, I was greeted by a friendly face that was super welcoming. The guy told me my barber would be in shortly. After he arrived almost 10 minutes late for my appointment, I still was hopeful. People are late sometimes, I get it. I told the barber I wanted to take two(2) inches off my beard, line and blend, and trim the sideburns. 20 minutes later, I have to leave and don't have time to look it over. I go to check out with a debit card because it's 2020 and you'd think debit was a very common method of payment. Nope, I'm referred to the ATM at the front of the store. "We don't want to pay taxes", was the reasoning. After leaving and getting home, my mustache is cut significantly higher on one side, beard looks like it was cut with rusty scissors(not blended at all), and the over all length is pretty much the same as I walked in. He DID do great on lining it up with the razor but sadly, that is all. Wouldn't recommend this place unfortunately. read more

I must say I am very disappointed, as the same thing has happened to me now twice at the Barber Shop. As any place you have a a favorite barber or stylist and you are willing to wait for them. Twice now I have went in, signed in asking to see a certain barber only to watch that person finish up with not 1, but two customers THEN just leave. While I have waited for 45mins today, a previous time was nearly 1.5 hrs. The frustrating part is, no one says anything. Everyone watches them leave but no one offers any resolution they just keep taking other customers while I sat there. I left and say I won't go back. For what it's worth, the atmosphere is awesome and there are some good barbers there, but I am sick and tired of wasting my time waiting and obviously no one is managing this portion of the business or it wouldn't be happening. I take my autistic, teenaged son there, and they are great with him. Both barbers there have an instinct for interacting with him. We've been going there about two years, my son loves it, and always comes out with a great haircut. Any special boys ready to graduate from places like Cookie Cutters should consider this place. They are especially good with patiently letting my son go through the process of paying by himself, even though sometimes it takes longer. It's true that because it's walk-in only, you might have a wait, but once you become a regular, you learn when the peaks and lulls are, and find a time to go that works for you. My son likes to wait just a little while anyway, because there is so much to look at in the store, and they are OK with his walking around and touching the curios (I walk with him). DO NOT GO HERE. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. Living in LA I know a good haircut when I get one. I immediately walk in and ALL THREE barbers are sitting the the barber chair just talking and goofing off. all three stare at me without even a hello. I then say, Should I sit or? The one barber talking on the phone with his headphones says I'll take you. I tell him: 1 fade around the sides and nothing off the top. then he says are you sure nothing on top? I say just clean it up-very short trim. At the end he completely FUCKS up my hair. he took off over 50% of the length-NOT EVEN CLOSE TO A TRIM. he's yelling at his coworkers the whole time and not even focusing on my cut. This place is a fucking joke and I will never recommend or return. read more

Paid 30$ for a cut that was worse than sportclips. Asked for a low fade with a little off the top. Got a high fade and the barber used scissors for half of the top then took his clippers with a guard and just went over everything he did with the scissors. I have two or three different lengths on top. It looks ridiculous. Steer clear of this place unless you know who is cutting your hair. read more

This barbershop is by appointment only. So if you go in to get a haircut he will not be able to unless you somehow already know Barbara works there to set an appointment. I've tried to her three times to get a haircut at this place it's an absolute disaster this guy has so much money walking out the door because nobody can get a haircut. Worst haircut I've ever had and I used to get a haircut on a weekly basis. I went in and asked for a low fade and a little off the top. I ended up with a very uneven high fade and probably less than an inch of hair left on the top and a bald spot on the back where part of the fade was. I had to shave my head when I got home. read more

This place started out as the perfect barber shop in the area. The staff is great and they all do a really good job. It seems to be getting louder and more rambunctious lately for me to be bringing my smaller kids. Unfortunately, the wait times can be long but they added a few more chairs to help. When they expanded and added more chairs so did the cost per haircut. The cost ($25) is now too high for me to continue going here since I go every other week. read more

This place is more expensive than your average supercuts but for no good reason. I was poked fun of for wanting a specific haircut, not allowed to look at the haircut when I asked to see how it was going, made fun of for wanting to see the progress. I'm not paying this much money for someone to get creative and if I want to see it I should be able to. And when it was finished it looked awful. Everyplace I have gone beforehand has not made this same haircut look this bad and they charge 10 to 15 dollars less for better service! I can tell it has a very niche market from walking foot in there, which is a more conservative biker atmosphere. If you dont want a haircut associated with that, don't come here cause they will somehow do that to your hair even if you show them what you want. read more

Nice shop. Splurged on a shave and it will be a regular expense added to the budget! Haircuts have been excellent too. This is an experience, not a 12 minute wham, bam, thank you man trip to a chain shop. The attention to detail is unbelievable. I recommended my 18 year old son go hear before his high school graduation ceremony based upon reviews. He had a great head of hair. He asked for the sides and top to be shortened as it was very stylish the way it was. He returned with the sides of his head shaved with clippers using a 1 or less. The top had approximately 4" removed. He is now asking me to shave his head prior to his senior banquet and graduation day. He is easy going and will where a hat. I am VERY SORRY I recommended this barber shop. When you visit a barber the first time it should go slow and shortened in layers to achieve satisfaction. read more
