It was easy to make an appointment online. I could see the different barbers and read reviews. The place is very nice. You get a coffee or beer with each haircut. You can add on additional service like ear waxing or nose waxing. I just opted for the haircut. Andersson was great. It was a little loud in there and he is a little soft spoken, but he gave me exactly what I wanted. Even got a hot towel, straight razor to the back of my neck, and (without asking) he trimmed my eyebrows, which my girlfriend was ecstatic about. All in all, I was very impressed with this place. It's more expensive than Great Clips, but it should be as you are getting way more for your money.

My 10 year-old son needed a haircut, and I figured this was a good way to find out if they were any good. If they messed up ... at least it was on someone else's hair! I'm happy to report that my son loved his haircut. His barber was DuMauriea "Thee Hair Razor" Williams. We had a little friendly banter about baseball, heard a story about the ginormous trophy he won at a haircutting competition (on display in the front window), and generally had a good time. My son said, "it was very fun and I love my haircut." While this looks like a solidly African-American barber shop, they gave my white kid an awesome cut too. No matter what kind of hair you need cut, I highly recommend checking out this place. I know we'll be back!

He allowed his movements to lead to mistakes that required taking off much more hair than requested. After realizing what program was on the television, I made repeated requests for him to turn our son around so that he would not see the horribly violent movie playing. These requests were ignored. I probably should have left when I first realized that it was so violent, but felt that I didn't want our son to go away with such a chopped haircut. As this continued, I realized that this was taking much longer than anticipated and his hair was getting much shorter than desired, it would have looked even worse than had we left earlier. Just when I thought it was about done, he continued and the movie became more frightening. At this point, our son even said that it was getting "scary". I told the barber we needed to go and I sent our son outside while I settled up with the barber . Looking back, I should not have paid but at the time I just wanted to go. We will not be back.

It was a pleasant surprise to find this place to feel welcoming and be welcoming to everyone; Buck has all types of clients that I watched continuously stream in as I was getting my hair colored. And, everyone left with a smile on their face, seeming a bit happier (and hipper) than when they showed up, I know I did. The atmosphere is old-school and simple, very comfortable, with those cushy barbershop chairs that you can sit in for hours and be cozy. And I fell in love with the music, it was so eclectic and just felt like it fit the place...cool. I felt cooler just by being there, lol. Also, there is free beer, complimentary with service, and water, etc. to keep you refreshed and relaxed. They take pride in their work and it shows. We had moved from Florida and I had yet to find a barber to cut his hair without butchering it or making it choppy. Our barber was new but Buck continued to come over and check and then did some final touch ups. I was very happy with the cut and plan to have my husband go too! The price is also very reasonable.

The whole barbershop is a VIBE! It's extremely clean and you can tell the owners take pride in their shop. Everyone was super nice and welcoming. I didn't feel out of place or uncomfortable. It's difficult to get my hair cut without getting strange stares or anxiety from being the only woman in the shop. Bi is the barber that gets my cut perfect every-time. He is easy to book and is always ready when I come through the door. I usually request unique designs and he always delivers. If you're looking for cool vibes and a good cut, check out the Groom Room. I'm sure if I were a guy with a beard, I would def come to this place for all grooming needs.
