Operates by appointment only (easily made online from his website) which is actually outstanding as it assures you can get in and out in a half hour or less from start to finish, rather than being luck of the draw on crowd. He can be quite booked, but I can usually find an opening fairly quickly unless it's just before a holiday. Have been coming here for a few years now when other shops became more inconvenient with their hours, etc. Always a great conversation to catch up with what's going on in life as well. Highly recommend. He takes cards with a small fee but worth the convenience. If that's a concern bring cash and save the fee.

Where to begin... I…read moredon't have a usual barber. I travel a lot and dont mind letting my hair do its thing. I had a big week just after labor day and decided I'd better look nice but due to the holiday weekend it was nearly impossible to find anyone open. I called around but didn't leave any messages or email anyone. In The Cut called ME back labor day afternoon and offered to come in early (says he is appt only throughout the week) the next day. Thing is, it wasn't a "let me help you"friendly call back... More like "Why did you call me and what do you want" sort of thing. I ask 9, he says 905, I say make it 915 so I don't have to wait and he agreed. The next morning: 930 rolls around... Still waiting. When the doors finally open up I have no where else to go really and still want to give the guy a chance. The pile of hair still on the floor from the day before is not a good start to my day but.... Okay. I usually don't care about hair cuts so long as I look good. I only asked for something "Sleek and Professional". Keep the sides short and leave something on top to style. To his credit he gives a very detailed haircut. Took WAY to long but that was probably just because he kept stopping to text people during... He even called someone.... Not answered a call, he CALLED someone else during MY haircut to refer a graphics guy... Wasn't even to schedule another cut. What felt like hours later: he shows me how I'm looking and I just don't care for it at all. Its super short with nothing on top to style and "lined up" WAY to hard around the forehead which makes me look like a kid on the basketball court rather than a professional like I had hoped. He says everyone wants it that way "they get mad if I don't"... Which may be true but the sign on the door says multicultural barbershop so why treat me like everyone else ? Maybe ask...? It takes 2 seconds... He then says.... Lean back and we'll finish up where upon he takes a razor to my scalp to clean up the line. Now, I have dandruff, I know. I'm not happy about it but it happens. That said there is no amount of dry skin that could possibly excuse what he did next. He cut me SEVERAL times, drawing blood, and afterward blamed my dry skin for cracking. He didn't even own up to it. No, "I'm so sorry, this haircut is free, I'll make it right next time" Nothing. Just basically Get some Ointment for that or something. I paid the man, because I'm not a jerk, and went on my way. It wasn't until later that I realized how bad the cuts really were. Guess the name of the business is there for a reason... Overall: -Late -unprofessional -unclean (hair on the floor) -texting and calling mid cut -a "bad haircut" that just wasn't me -literally cutting me (will try to attach pics) -completely unapologetic and probably still doesn't think he did anything wrong since I didn't yell at him that day.
