My son was so upset when we left that he was in tears. While waiting for my appointment at Roots Hair salon, which is in this same strip of stores, I decided to go down to the barber for a nice, clean straight shave. I supposed I should have asked the price first and then been weary of a $7 shave (which is commonly closer to $30 at finer establishments), but I just got in the chair. The barber proceeded to do the hot towel business and everything was just as it should be. Then the trouble began. I'm guessing it has been far too long since he had his blade sharpened, because he massacred my face, specifically my neck. I have a very coarse beard, but I had shaved within 24 hours so I only had a 5 o'clock shadow. When the torture was over he said "this is going to be a bit spicy" and loaded me up with after shave. (Young ones cover your ears because this review is getting vulgar.) FUCK. spicy is an understatement. Then he said "a bit of razor burn" and gave me a mirror. I the went back to the salon for my hair cut and sat with a cold towel on my face for an hour. The pictures don't really do the damage justice. It's been a day and I'm still in a lot of pain. I probably won't be able to shave for a week. NEVER GO HERE. NEVER.
