There were two rooms and I sat in the long one (the ceiling arc reminded me of a tunnel for some reason) with the duck mural. The menu contained lots of Polish dishes and a dedicated duck section. A duck and pickles appetizer was served gratis. It spread easily on the accompanying slices of bread and was nice. I've not had duck presented like this before and when I piled a couple of the smaller pickle pieces on top the tartness added more complexity for the flavors. I'd order this if it was on their menu. Zurek soup tasted a little tangy and was filled with sausage, mushroom, potatoes plus a whole egg and was delicious. I wasn't sure what to expect but all the different ingredients made for an enjoyable bowl. The bread bowl also contributed by thickening the soup as it abosrbed the broth. The duck breast with smoked plum sauce was thick, cooked medium and very tender. There was a little too much sauce for me but I liked the different taste. The side of glazed carrots and peas had a hint of sweetness and completed the dish along with the potato gnocchi. Service overall was good and efficient. Would return.

I am from the United States so I can honestly say these were the best pierogi I've ever had (and my grandparents made great pierogi!) The service was attentive and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We dined around 4pm so we were seated right away but we were told that the other side of the restaurant was already booked for reservations starting at 5. I suggest making a reservation if you plan on dining at a typical dinner time. This was also on a Tuesday so I imagine they are quite busy throughout the week as well.

The cheese plate and tartare were not accompanied with any bread or crackers. The cheese selection was boring in my opinion. The queens jam is not my thing. The stake tartare was so good. The dumplings were also average. The cottage cheese were my favorite. The duck was great. I will say I've never had polish food so I have nothing to compare it to. For me, it lacked flavor and creativity.

The goose liver pate was delicate, without too much of the earthy aroma that sometimes pate can have. The cranberry gelee offset the richness of the pate. I suggest you order bread on the side, to ensure you have enough to spread it on. The roast duck was meaty yet tender and moist. It appears they slow cooked it, very much to perfection. It had a nice crispy exterior, and not too much fat. I had their pan fried beets on the side, and they were smooth and delicate, without over being overpowering. Overall a very nice meal, and I look forward to going back

This is…read morethe restaurant in that episode that shows the making of their famous cabbage rolls (Gołąbki). I was curious about the delicate cabbage leaves that look like the wings of its namesake (little doves or pigeons). It was everything I thought it would be, and more. I'm so glad that we tried them. It's popular for a reason. I really appreciated the fresh mushrooms, and the filling of buckwheat. It made the rolls so light. It felt like comfort food at its best. Very delicious! They can make them gluten-free as well. In fact, the menu has a lot of options for those with dietary restrictions. They'll ask you right away if you have any allergies to certain foods. The service was great. Everything was explained very well. We couldn't pass up dessert. They all looked so good. My husband decided to get the Basque Cheesecake. It's not on the menu, but they'll let you know if it's available by request. I was tossed between the Egg Nog Cake and the Chocolate Cherry Cake. Both have some form of liquor in it. The Egg Nog Cake or Ajerkoniakowy Tort was my absolute favorite of the 2 desserts. I really liked the eggnog filling. I'd think it would be rum (like the Polish Kogel Mogel punch), but we were told that the vodka works better in their recipe. They were right. It's definitely heavenly. What I love is that there were more locals eating there. I didn't see any tourists. It's kind of off the beaten path. We decided to head on over to Kazimierz since it's not very far from this resraurant. It all worked out perfectly. I'd love to return one day to try other menu items. Everything looked great.

It's a small shop with a decent-sized menu, though I wish there were more flavor options. I also considered Mr. Vincent, which seemed to have a bit more variety. I ordered the cottage cheese and spinach pierogi. I like that everything's made to order -- they boil them fresh after you order, and mine were ready in about seven minutes. You can choose butter or onions on top (the onions seem to be cooked in a buttery sauce anyway), and I went with the onions. Each order comes with nine pierogi -- they're small and snackable, so it's a good portion for one person. The cottage cheese and spinach combo was nice; I expected more of a spanakopita vibe, but it was different. Flavor-wise, it was fine -- not bad at all, just not something I'd rave about. The price is definitely a plus, though: my meal with a soda came to around $10 USD. Service was the one real downside. It might've been a language barrier, but when I asked for my order to go, they plated it first and seemed annoyed about repacking it. The staff also didn't seem too happy when I asked for extra onions. Overall, affordable and freshly made pierogi, but I probably wouldn't go out of my way to return.

I ordered the savory mix (10 pieces for around 7 euro), and none of the six (or seven?) varieties I got was enjoyable. Some of the fillings were too salty, all of the pierogi tasty doughy and undercooked, and the fried onions on top were oily and overpowering. It's possible that pierogi are simply not my thing, though I actually doubt it, since I generally like all dumplings. Anyway, I'll try my luck elsewhere (and will ask for the onions on the side, to be safe). Food aside, service was fine. Note that the place itself is really just a takeout kiosk, with a few stools at a small counter if you'd like to eat there.
