Ah..yes Good Ol' Classics, my first time in this place back in High School the gym class would…read moreactually have a trip here, just to play Billiards(the teacher knows the owner). that was back 8yrs ago and i loved it since Yes, the atmosphere is a Billiard hall, but it doesn't mean the under 18 yrs olds can't go in fact its the best place in my opinion to hang out. you can go in play for hours and be awesome. the cost between 4 to 8pm was only 5 bucks but that was back in the day, since now they open at around 5pm. then after that time playing will cost you $10 an hour. For most people in Manitoba the drink of choices are Beer, Wine and Highballs(Alcoholic beverage + Non-alcoholic beverage, eg. Rye&Coke, Vodka&lime etc). So if you ask for a Cosmo or Martini make sure you can tell Mario (the bartender/owner ) how to make it. Saves money by not having to hire anyone that knows every drink under the sun. They also serve some mean wings for 35 cents on Mondays, now don't quote me on that I haven't been there for a Monday for a year now. the food is great, now unlike other Billiards that I've been to they have a better menu. Aside from wings, fries & chicken fingers, they also have great Pizza, sandwiches, and if your in a budget cheese toast its cheap, filling and c'mon its who doesn't melted cheese on toast. okay so I don't know if I've been Helpful enough, but let me try and paint a picture to you. Monday night you just got off work/school whatever, you feel like having a few beers and doing something, you don't feel like going home yet, so you go to this place. In the Weekdays in normally very very chill, maybe just you & a buddy and another group somewhere playing. you listen to some "Freebird" playing in the jukebox, you watch sports highlights on the flat screen hanging on the ceiling, take chug of ice, cold beer. you saw something good, so tell the bartend to turn up the T.V. and lower the music. then your Buddy yells " HEY, Are Playing Or What" Wait that writing's awful...Just imagine Cheers but with Billiard tables.

I came here for a friend's birthday on a Saturday. This is a typical bar & billiards place, with a…read morefair number of tables, some seating, TVs, bar and jukebox. The tables looked well kept, though I didn't play, so I can't comment beyond a casual visual observation. Atmosphere wasn't bad - I was there pretty early (6:30pm?) so it wasn't too busy yet and the place felt a little quiet. The music was a good volume, there but not loud enough to interfere with conversation. The other patrons were mostly young and non-threatening. Drinks were $4 each I think? When I went up to order the bar was staffed by an older man, maybe one of the owners? He didn't know what a cosmopolitan was, but poured a decent gin and tonic. Bonus points for asking if I wanted it tall or short. My friends ordered a pizza, which I tried. It was pretty good. I didn't stay for too long (other engagements) and it sounds like things picked up a lot there after I left. I'd go back - it seems like a pretty safe, chill place to spend an evening playing pool.
