I…read moreended going to DIY Framing, as a second stop as I wasn't pleased with the first place I visited. I've driven by this place so many times and always thought that it's for you to do-it-yourself. Well, it is DIY framing, meaning they can prep the materials for you to do the work which can save about $26 for the labour. But I was told that 95% of people do not go with the DIY approach and leave it up to the experts. What I liked about this place was the great service I received from Jan - she was fantastic! She was extremely professional, knowledgeable and not pushy at all. She provided her perspective to help guide my selections because as I learned, there's a lot of choices! She provided the best options out there for my style and budget. She even provided ways to reduce the cost of the framing. It was a great shopping experience and within a week, I was able to pick up the finished piece. And yes, I did end up spending a good amount on the framing but it was for a large art piece and it was well worth it. Truly great service goes a long way. And everyone else in the shop was great to deal with as well. I would definitely recommend this place and would go back here for the next piece I need framing. Parking is available in the back.

Definitely worth the drive! The store was clean, well-organized, and had great displays of different projects on the walls. And unlike some other stores, there is room to move around and they even have shopping carts (a rare find in fabric stores). Great selection of fabrics and surprisingly great/lower prices. On top of all this, the customer service was incredible! We were greeted upon arrival, had our fabrics carried for us to the cutting table and were helped by several different staff and the manager (who spent a considerable amount of time with us)-- Incredible customer service--retail stores could learn a lot from this crew! Overall, a 5-star experience. I will definitely be a returning customer.

Michaels is great for a lot of things but there are some outrageously priced items. As soon as…read moreanything says Martha Stewart or Swarovski there must be at least a 40% markup. They do have classes to teach you how to make things and they do kids birthday parties. I also have to respect any business that gives teachers 10% or 15% off (sorry I don't remember which). Their staff is always friendly and helpful but they don't give you flyers in the store so if you forget yours you don't get to use the coupons.
