I flip demand to speak to a manager. Manager says they are all booked but is willing to take me the next day at 3pm (two hours after the party I am prepping for) I ask if they can stay late or do tin the morning and she says they are fully booked. So I go to my husband retirement party with 3 inch roots ..... thanks swear to never use the place again. fast forward 3 years, my stylist moves, and I a on a hunt for a new salon. I loved and was loyal to Aveda for 20+ years so I decide to give them anything change. go in talk to front desk again they call up a stylist that is an expert in curly hair. we set up an appointment , I request extra time. I show up and they have me blocked off for 2 hours again. After I insist on a toner . I leave and swearing never to return. They might have "Aveda franchise but it is a "Super Cuts" in disguise.

My 3C/4A curls were healthy and fully back to their natural texture after months of rehab from a hair Botox treatment I got done late last year. I went to Julissa's Blow Dry Bar in late July after a recommendation and good reviews. Huge mistake. First, the salon charges separately for things that should be included -- no roller sets unless booked separately, and you pay for a haircut and blowout as two different services. My bill for a haircut, deep treatment, blowout, and tip? $130. Pricey, but I could've lived with that. What I can't live with is the chemically altered hair I now have. A week later, I washed my hair and smelled chemicals immediately. After towel drying, my curls were gone -- limp, stringy, and clearly chemically altered. This is not heat damage. I know the difference. Months of work restoring my curls, now done the drain. My hair was destroyed in one visit. Now I have to wear my hair straight for months while I try to rehab it. If you care about your hair's health and integrity, DO NOT go here. I trusted them and paid the price. Julia and this salon should be ashamed.

My first visit I had the pleasure of meeting Stylist Lauren who was quite outgoing, very friendly and enthusiastic especially considering I was a "Walk-In".
