I stumbled across this little enterprise by word of mouth. The mouth belongs to my dear Queen Bee,…read morewho normally cuts my hair here in the humble halls of home and hearth. However since she needed succor from said shearing, I obliged her in the joy of Christmas spirit. One can (and encouraged to) book one's cut through their app or website. Yes, Virginia: this really isn't a small enterprise. It's part of a rather decent sized chain. So book away I did. There are several options to choose from in terms of types of cuts, shaves, beard and neck trims, cleanups, etc. So once one does that and select other add on services to one's cut, one can choose from several stylists/artists/barbers...Did I say there's a whole herd of options? To help the choice process, each one of the employees has a short bio and pic, with their weekly schedule plus emphasis on their specialty or gimmick. It's one male and about seven or eight ladies. Small caveat is that not all of 'em perform all the services they have available. So for instance, if you want a genuine old school shave (think straight razor), then it's just one barber (the lone guy) and another employee with a VERY limited schedule. As you walk in, there's definitely a retro chic look to this place, with glazed tile, lots of mirrors, shampoo sinks, canisters of soaking scissors (bathed in blue Barbicide) and real barber (as opposed to salon) chairs. Then along with that is huge murals depicting nearly every rock star and famous group to grace a stage or stadium since dinosaurs roamed the earth. I wound up with a lady named Crystal, one of the five or so peeps on duty. The place wasn't super busy, which is odd for a Saturday morning, albeit the Saturday B4 Christmas. I got a buzz cut (clippers cutting hair to uniform length) of 1/16th inch. Along with the cut one gets neck trimmed/cleaned up, a scalp massage plus a "signature" shoulder massage at no extra cost. Considering a regular old haircut is $26, I'd certainly hope there was no extra charge! Crystal herself was a pleasant enough gal who enjoys conversing. There were a few other gals in there waiting for customers, and the one male (Ernesto) was working on another customer. They have a reception desk like one would find in a salon too. So as I consider the price points and all the varied services available, I'm thinking this is more a salon masquerading as a barbershop than a barbershop per se. Certainly a relaxing, refreshing experience either way (pampering is a word that comes to mind). I get my hair cut once every to or three weeks as a rule. So in general I resemble either a slightly fuzzy cue ball or a fuzzy 8 ball... As one might guess, I am very simple and straightforward in my "styling"preferences with no frills. If you're one of those, then this may not be the right spot to patronize. Not bad, mind you: just pricey for what one gets.

The price was similar to other barber shops in the area but the service was so much better- she actually listened to him and didnt just do what they thought was best. Thank you!
