This is one of my fave branch since I have a regular Therapist here--Phil. Finding your right therapist depending on your needs is the challenge. The location is nice, nice ambiance of the place, the rooms are just right for the massage. The receptionists are very nice and accommodating and would made sure you're taken care of. Wait time is short. I'm always in time for my massages and I don't wait longer than 5 mins. Phil is very professional and does a great job. They also keep the place neat, clean and smelling good for all the customers. This includes the restrooms. The receptionists would also make sure you are aware of their current promotions but not pushy to sell. I never had major problems with this branch after going here on a regular basis for more than a year. I miss this place and my Therapist. read more

My husband lost a Massage Envy gift card I gave him & although the Massage Envy where I purchased it looked it up and they can see and confirm that I purchased it, they say there is nothing they can do to replace it. This is pretty ridiculous considering the proof of purchase/payment, which they flat out refuse to honor. This business practice amounts to STEALING. I can tell you this, they have lost several long term customer's for this. Thankfully there are many choices in massage and we don't have to deal with dishonest businesses. Very sad!! read more

I had TWO Massage Envy monthly massage memberships for my household. During this time the spouse consistently went but I was unable to use due to heavy work schedule. So my visits were building. They don't go away I was told. Two years pass and I have used maybe a handful but spouse has been consistent with hers. Then Pandemic hits. They continued to build - I called and they said we are not seeing anyone. I argued about paying and they said if I did not I would lose my account and what was built up. They offered to pause for three months. When the three months was up after rangling again they offered to pause three more months. Sounds good? After Covid give or take - the wife was ill and no longer to go. So we were able to convert her account over to the oldest daughter. Sounds good? Got the daughter in but three times I tried scheduling and was told - dont have one for two weeks. So I didnt make appointment. Called again and was told two weeks wait. So finally I said with my payments having resumed what good is it if every time I call you say TWO weeks +. They said they are now short staffed, perhaps hours cut and there were other locations I could go to. I said they are not near here this is quick travel. She highly recomended 4th St. location! So after multiple attempts to get in to the location I selected for a reason - guess what they're rates went up! Oh so it became about $25+ more for each which now actually meant under old rates we would be paying for a third ghost member! Two people now at the rate previously would have accomodated 3. I said look I have a ton of monthly's that have not been used - can we not convert or do something. I realize not your fault they accrued but actually I have not been able to BOOK an attempt to use even one. I'm glad my daughter was able to be squeezed in once. Perhaps I should have booked her name and just showed up instead, YOU THINK? I really enjoyed going to this location for quite awhile. I realize the Pandemic was not their fault but this generation of people have no idea how to problem solve or resolve. Do I wish them the best - hmm I wish them as much as they wished me. So to all who desire to book with this location - perhaps a good massage - NONE of us - including auntie and grandma who came ever had a great or awesome massage - good yes - BUT if there is ever a problem or disagreement - don't hold your breath you will ever come out on the winning side. read more

Booked my appointment an hour before my service and it was definitely amazing with Renee. I was highly stressed out and feeling all the side effects that comes with stress and being burned out from work. Renee definitely took the 90 minute massage to the next level and removed the majority of my kinks. Yes they were painful at the time, but I feel so much better and relieved right now. I booked two more future appointments the same day and signed up for the monthly membership. Meditation, relaxation, Netflix, and attempting to work out was not helping my pain issues. read more

Do NOT book with this location - do NOT get a membership here, or perhaps any location at all. I enrolled my boyfriend and I into year-long contracted memberships. In the last several months, this location has canceled our last 4 appointments with various reasons: employees are leaving, employees are getting sick, employees have jury duty. I understand things happen, but to have four consecutive appointments canceled is so unprofessional and reeks of this locations bad business practices. We've each accrued 3 massage "credits", that we've not been able to use. Every time they cancel, our only option to re-book is a random 9pm opening, or a more feasible time slot that's available weeks from the time of booking. With the never ending cycle of them cancelling & rebooking, we keep accruing more massage "credits" that they don't have the capacity to honor. I froze our accounts for a month, then booked four appointments nearly back to back so we can simply use up our credits. Well, today they canceled the first appointment we had after coming off of the account freeze. I spoke with the manager, Nicole, and she was not helpful at all. She offered to cancel our accounts, which would mean we'd have to use ALL of our massage credits within 60 days - but we can't even use them as it is! I don't want to lose $700 worth of massage "credits" because this location doesn't have a full staff. For the last 2 months, I've pleaded with them to please issue a refund for my "credits", and cancel my account. But they've refused. Nicole claims her business manager Shelly will reach out to their District Manager Amy for help - but didn't offer me a solid timeframe or possible resolution. I just want a refund for the services they keep canceling. Don't do this to yourself. Don't enroll in a contracted membership with Massage Envy - especially this location. read more

I feel so fortunate to have gotten an appointment at the Largo location. My massage therapist, Brittany, was incredible! She is very intuitive, and I walked out of the appointment feeling less tense and tight, and way more mobile in my neck, head and shoulders! I am a 2 year member and only found 2 particular masseuse that do the great tissue massage. Unfortunately to get either 1 of the 2 , I have to pre book 2-3 month's out as they are so booked out. , so by the time I get my appointments they are all 90 minutes instead of 90 minutes, ( which is time accrued). Upon exiting last time I had a receptionist sternly say as I questioned the policy of canceling the automatic monthly payments and undoing. She stated " well your membership price would be void and any time you wanted a massage it would almost double in price" !! I said " look , I've worked the other side of the counter, and if you can't at least provide an appointment in reasonable time it's not good for word of mouth. People talk, recommend, but you can't here. My massage...great Trying to get an appointment with who you want is 6 weeks out or better. You'd be better off booking a year out once a month and try to hope they pay them enough to keep them. I tried to edit but I meant what was supposed to be 60 minutes sessions, the length of time to get the appointment made. I also did respond to the receptionist comment re: price without membership ". Massage Envy is a day-spa chain and your opinion of this experience will likely be based on the frequency of the massages you receive. If you go once a week, they offer a decent value and convenient, strip mall location. If you go less frequently and are looking for an immersive experience where you can simply relax and forget about the world for a bit, this place will come up short. For starters, the ambiance is more akin to a tanning salon and the employees talk and act like they are at a Starbucks - truly not a big deal, but compared to nicer spas, this is the opposite of the zen effect they try to create with the scents and music. The quality of the massage made me think of - "you get what you pay for." My therapist seemed more interested in hurrying up and finishing her shift than focusing on delivering a quality service. There are simply too many other day spas in the area to choose from for me to give them another shot anytime soon. read more

Scheduled the appointment earlier today today for 6 pm. Called around 4pm to see if I could reschedule to the next day and was told it would cost me 50% of my scheduled service to do so, SURE WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE IF THEY TOLD ME THIS WHEN I SCHEDULED, especially since I had one scheduled yesterday at a Sarasota location, Sarasota location called to cancel my appointment yesterday and didn't offer a credit or ANYTHING. On to the massage. I will say my therapist was very professional and did a great job. The thing that really bothers me is that a 60 minute massage IS NOT A 60 minute massage. I had 45 minutes of actual massage time. I informed the front desk of that and they told me they only massage for 50 minutes and the other 10 minutes is time to speak with the therapist doing the massage before and after. I feel a little taken and I'm NOT impressed with my first visit to Massage Envy. Sad to say! read more

Exit stage left to get water - guess I am done and get dressed? No time to get acclimated after being so relaxed - step out door, got cup of water and into the crowd at checkout. 4-5 stars for the massage therapist (Eddie) and the woman who did my facial. 3ish stars for the layout of the waiting area and how loud/not relaxing it is out there. I've been to other massage envies where they have a quiet waiting area. I feel like they really need that here. One woman at the front desk was particularly loud and chatty. It was also a busy day, and it would get back logged by the door to the massage rooms/restrooms. I go twice a month and feel that the membership pricing is fair for what I get. The staff are friendly, and the quality of massage definitely depends on who your masseuse is--I would recommend coming a few times and requesting a different person to have a good selection to choose your favorite from. I had to have a few massages before I could pick a favorite, but I've been pleased ever since. I think the price is reasonable and the staff do a good job at making you feel welcome and comfortable. The hours are really the selling point for me though--I can get an appointment at almost any time I need and have called in on Saturday evening for an emergency appointment and been accommodated within a couple of hours. Largo is a location for the company to emulate. The desk staff is friendly, always remember me and check me in by the time I walk in the door without having to tell them my name. I have a regular therapist, Robert. He is FANTASTIC. I have been following him from another practice. When we first met, he took it upon himself to find out what my chief complaint was. He did research on his own and found the ideal treatment for my condition. Robert is very personable and professional. When he is not around, which he let us know in time, I usually see Todd. Todd is also very knowledgeable. They both make you feel at ease and rejuvenated when you end your sessions. read more

I made my next appointment with her. When we met I immediately liked her friendly, relaxed personality. She always has a funny story or good Netflix recommendation, Lauren is an amazing therapist, I always leave de-stressed and relaxed, she knows exactly the right pressure, spots and stretches. I purchased a gift certificate for a friend for 3 massages which had to be used in 3 months. He wasn't able to use any of them due to his schedule and with the deadline approaching, I asked the manager if I could use one of the massages for myself (not all 3, just one), and I was told NO, that he had to be the one to use it. They obviously don't care about their customer satisfaction. They would rather a customer lose $$ ($180!!) than allow just one massage to be used where they would've rec'd referrals from me if it was a good one. They also charge you if you cancel an appt. last minute, but I was told by a staff member that if you're a doctor and had to cancel last minute, that was okay, so basically, us hard working people are not important enough for this business.
