I requested a refund for this reason, and was told it's the nature of cars to break down, and we still had the car for a day. They were willing to spend hours fighting me on a refund, but no time trying to resolve us being stranded at night due to their faulty vehicle. I plan to never rent from any Hertz again due to their awful customer service. What a turn off.

After returning the car at the destinations city, the receipt was emailed to me several days later and they shocked me by overcharging me about €150. Upon several emails to them, they just denied the request for a refund to me. I will never ever rent a car from Sixt again and I do not recommend them to anyone. Watch your pocket. Buyer, Beware.. If I could, I would give them zero stars, but that's not possible .

There was no one around, no nearby stores, and no traffic on the road. I checked the SOS function in the car, but it was not active. To my surprise, I also discovered that the vehicle had no spare tire, which could have resolved the issue immediately. I am unsure why no spare tire was provided, as this would have greatly alleviated the problem. Stranded on the roadside at approximately 1:00 am, I contacted the local police for assistance. Despite several attempts, I was unable to reach Europcar's customer service or the provided contact number (+41-044-8044646). Eventually, the police arranged for a tow truck. As a tourist unfamiliar with the area, it was extremely difficult to communicate with the driver and navigate the situation.

The invoice was in German and I signed it at the airport without looking after I was assured by the clerk that $31 is the total amount that would be added to my bill. Instead, the clerk added some alleged winter features which anyone would suppose to be included as a standard, since I rented the car in January in Switzerland and being charged for some "special " winter package is ridiculous. The pickup was not in a tropical destination. I'm still trying to get my money back with the help of American Express.
Poor customer service when dealing with canceling trail subscription. Beware when trailing this…read moreservice. Mobility automatically en role you in a year subscription when your 4 month trail subscription ends. Plus when you call them to discuss they tell you on the "rule" that you need to notify them a month before the end of the subscription if you wish not to be enrolled again. Plus they charge you for the subscription and the liability cover so it ends up as a more expensive renewal than initially thought.
