Nice & Friendly place. Ara at the counter was so nice, welcoming customers, efficient work processing, and speedy. Also the parking gate person wih square eyeglass/beard was so kind, friendly, well managed parking for me.

A special thanks to service agent Mo for making a little girl's dream come true. My little girl has been begging me to get a Jeep Wrangler, and she reminds me every time we pass one. As we walk down the isle of cars in the rental garage what do we see? A white Jeep Wrangler. Daddy please, please, please... can we get the Jeep Wrangler? So we check with Mo... That will be $60 a day more. "Oh I'm sorry, we can't do that", I said. My daughter looked at me and Mo with those puppy dog eyes. "We'll, are you active Military? A Costco member? How about AAA," Mo said as he was trying to make this work for us. Well yes, indeed we are Costco members. "Thank you Daddy, thank you," my daughter screeched as she jumped up and down in excitement. A special thanks to Mr. Mo for making the extra effort to figure out how to make my daughter's dream come true.

Overnight drop-off is the BIGGEST PLUS!!! Because it's not SNA, John Wayne Airport, the rate is WAY cheaper. (for example, I put a 3-days rental for the future dates, weekday, around early May, the cost on Costco Travel is $88 for economy car at this location v.s $197 at SNA AVIS) The gentleman who works here was super friendly with excellent sense of humor. The car I reserved was already pulled out at the front, I got the key and ready to go in 10 mins. (could be even faster but my credit card was suspended due to fraud so I had to make a call). He even asked if I need direction I didn't want to tell him I live down the block:P The car I got for intermediate class is Mazda 3, with only 3k mileages, quipped w duo a/c, safety technology, power seat and GPS....etc. The car is also clean, the kind of clean after $15 car wash, not the $80 detailing though. It's strange this car is missing all 4 floor mats, maybe someone stole it: xD He explained the overnight drop-off, which is, there's no gate to the parking lot, lot is usually empty, just park the car and lock it. Leave the key ONLY to the security guard at the end of the LOT. The biggest problem for South Coast Metro is parking, so I used to rent from SNA because they open to 11pm, but I am so happy I found this location, closer and more efficient. This location actually never seem busy every time I drove by. It's not too far from SNA, if you are traveling from SNA and doesn't mind take Uber ride, this location might works perfectly for you. I got the e-receipt the next morning even before I got out of bed:) Thank you Avis!

Nasty stains of who knows what

Horrible experience! This owner is the worst . I rented a car for 4 days . But they gave me the car with " inspection due " in the dashboard. I didn't feel safe driving it all the way back like this, so I called Avis roadside assistance and they re directed me to go to the nearest location to do a vehicle exchange. After calling all locations, nobody had cars available for an exchange. I decided to take an airplane back to LA, since all nearby locations closed at 5 pm. Customer service made the change to drop it off at Concord ,Ca. When I arrived there, the lady was so kind to take the keys for me, and promised to email me the receipt. Well, I see a charge on my credit card for double the amount . I called Avis in concord and she told me I had to speak with the Santa Ana owner because that's where I picked up the car. I asked if she can call for me , and she said she can't help me because the owner actually had called her About me returning the car late . That he was extremely rude to her assuming that I had to pay more . Dude , I didn't keep the car the 4 days as expected because you rented the car to me with the inspection light !! Why call the other location , scream at the poor lady calling her a liar , only because you thought I kept the car 4 days instead of 1 and 120 minutes . I laughed when she told me she shut you off as soon as she asked you for your cell phone number to send you the video of her cameras of my return date and time. Pathetic! You are not only rude to customers but also to your colleagues from your company. Not even 2 hours late !! And you charged me $140 extra . What about my airplane ticket ? Are you going to refund me it ? Renting malfunctioning cars to customers !! Nasty, stains on the seats as well. What if something had happened on the way ? It could have caused a collision for me and my friends . I never had this problem with enterprise. They always take care of me. You are putting my life in jeopardy. And you only care if I had the car one or two days ? Shame on you. You should find another career . Now I see why many yelpers hate you. Next time, go to Santa Ana aiport. It's way better .

Shiny new Corolla

I couldn't wait to get home and write a review for this Avis location. WONDERFUL customer service!! I didn't catch the name of the guy who helped me, but he was very friendly and genuine....asked me all the necessary questions but never pushed any of the extra options on me, like they normally do. After reading horror story reviews for most of the car rental companies at SNA, I opted for this location instead, and boy am I glad I did. NO lines - just me, and he took me right away. Even upgraded me for free to a sparkly new Corolla (only 939 miles on it) because I mentioned I was moving and needed as big a trunk as I could get for my car size. A+ all around. Thanks Avis!!!

The red Ford Edge that I returned Wednesday, already rented out on Thursday even though they charged me for the entire day. #beware

(Granted, Hertz was a step above the others) This experience was customer friendly and felt like they were truly focused on customer care. The noticed my 6ft son and offered suggestion that he would be uncomfortable and suggested a different car. This was not a hard sell, just forthcoming and courteous advice. I appreciated it. I like the service... and it was cheaper :)

While I was in Honolulu, I chose Budget by mistake. I ended up getting a sedan that had 80,000 miles on it with bad suspension. I was driving a boat on H-1, huge boat at it. After that delightful experience, I think twice. Here I am. Cali, high gas price, why don't I get a Tesla. Awesome idea but followed with lot of regrets. Got the Tesla. 1. Dirty car. Yes, sticky residue here and there. Looks like just vacuumed bit nothing was wiped. 2. Service due on lot of the required service. Yes, the dashboard said lot of the things hasn't been looked at. 3. Squeaky brakes or faulty with regenerative braking system. Wow. It was a noisy car. 4. No charge adapter. There was no adp adapter and I couldn't charge it at non Tesla station. What a hassle. At the end, I was able to charge at the Tesla Super Charge Station but waisted so much time trying to resolve it. Tesla and Budget had easy convenient billing. Didn't habe to download any apps. Reminder: think trice before selecting Budget.

After waiting for about 20 minutes, the agent cut off the line where we were to send the rest of us downstairs--to the actual budget center. It was pouring rain, so we had to walk across the street and take an elevator down. While we were at the center, the line was even longer than the one we were originally in. We waited another 30 minutes before being at the front of the line and there were only two workers. One of them decided to take off and not return leaving only one worker to man the center. By the time we were finally helped, it took an additional 15 minutes to get through the paperwork and grab our car. The car was a little bigger than I anticipated because they ran out of smaller options but it was a blessing in disguise for the rain. Thankfully it was clean and brand new. My only complaint was about the wait time but for the price I paid I couldn't complain much to begin with. Hopefully management reads this and add more workers to help out.

Every time I come to town this is the rental car agency my company uses and out of rental car…read moreagencies I have the least issues with this one. The line is fairly quick for both drop off and pick-up. I never have to wait for more than a couple minutes. My car is always ready for me. Is it ever the car I actually book? No. But do I ever receive the car I book anywhere? No. I have come to the conclusion that when on business travel the selected car is a suggestion. As long as the vehicle is not large enough to fit an entire NFL team inside, including staff, I'll manage. The cars I've received have been clean. I haven't had the issues as others nor am I saying their experience isn't legit. I travel for business so I imagine there's an expectation on corporate clients. I haven't gotten dinged for any extra charges and my interaction with customer service has been very minimal.

If I have to rent from this airport again, I would pick another company. Their lack of customer service does not make me want to work with them again!

This is what makes a car rental place stand out - their staff and the excellent service they provide. Needed a rental car for our LA/Disneyland trip. I booked through booking.com and got a good deal for 3 days. Upon arrival to SNA airport, instructions were to call Green Motion for shuttle pickup. Pickup area is at arrivals near banner 6. Dorothy picked us up and was very sweet! She gave recommendations and was very helpful on the 3 min ride across the street to Atrium hotel where Green Motion was located. She said the best gas station to fill up was at the nearby ARCO so it wasn't as expensive as the one next to the hotel. Checking in with Amir was very smooth and he gave us 10% off McDonald's coupons at the one near Disneyland. No issues with the Dodge Caravan. Checking out was also very smooth and they let us leave our luggage in the front desk while we ate lunch around the area. When we got dropped off, I accidentally left my phone in the shuttle and after calling Green Motion back, Amir actually came back to give it to me! Wow I was SO grateful to him for that. He's also super nice and helpful. Thank you Green Motion (& Amir and Dorothy) for making our can rental experience convenient and easy!
