Lady at customer service counter was rude and unhelpful. I had a low tire due to a nail and no cars were available, but Sears automotive, which is in the same building, could check the tire. When I asked for clarification on something, she repeated back what she said with attitude. One of those customer service types that is irritated that customers even exist and that they have to tolerate them. I was going to discuss the fact that the delay would cause me to extend a day and I'd like to not pay for that, but knew she would be unwilling to help, so I called the Avis desk where I originally rented and he helped me. Too bad there's not many options in this location, because I would avoid this location if possible. By the way, the Sears Automotive people that fixed the tire were great. read more

If I could leave zero stars it would be appropriate. First of all the customer service may as well be in Egypt because nobody in this country would consider their service acceptable. After the trip from OH to MN...they decided they would add .25/mile for everything over 1000 miles when we rented the vehicle PER DAY! We were charge over $280 over what we agreed to and now the corporate office will not speak to us. Read the feedback they have on other sites as it's incredible this company still exists. We are filing with the BBB and seeking legal action against this company. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE! 7-14-16 UPDATE: The company insists that I CHOSE to pay for a mileage based rental EVEN THOUGH it would mean that when I RENTED the care I KNEW I would be paying double the cost of a per day rate! It is unbelievable that this company can stay in business with this type of deception to their customers...I'll update you all on the outcome. It even gets better...the company was going to credit us $100 but then decided not to and refused to adjust the billing. Rented from Enterprise twice since then...they made the comment that they get ALL the best customers from Avis because of the VERY poor customer service. Please reconsider your choices when renting... read more

Worst customer service ever. Won't go here again. Both times the lady was extremely rude to me and other people in line. I would recommend renting elsewhere if possible! read more

My wife and I decided to rent a mustang for the weekend to drive through Amish country and see the foliage! After reading reviews I was nervous... was pleasantly surprised to have a very nice lady help me with my car! She pulled it around for me and did a thorough check for any scratches to make sure I didn't get charged for anything that was already there when I got back. The mustang was a GT convertible! Experience was exceptional! Would recommend! Small place with limited car options but what they lack in options she made up for with service read more

I rented a car from the airport (good experience) and I had a weekend special. I needed the car one day longer so I went into the Mansfield Avis to do this. After standing at the desk for 10 minutes before being helped the lady asked me what I needed. I simply told her I need to drop this car off and rent another for one day so I could make my flight in Columbus tomorrow at 4. So therefore she closed out my account and said "well I'm gonna have to charge you two days now since you'll have it until 4pm and it's only 11 now" so I asked why she didn't tell me before hand that is how it works with this company? She rudely advised me it was not her job. I ended up having to walk 2 miles to a different rental service in 15 degree weather. (I'm from Texas so that is cold) so to finish you would be better off just buying a car from a dealer then renting a car from this company. read more

This rental agency inside Sears is ridiculous and I would never recommend them for any rentals. I reserved my car online via Expedia and the process was smooth. I showed up at the pickup location, this Avis center within Sears, and not only was the customer service representative late (10 minutes after their opening time) but she was very unprofessional from her attitude all the way down to her attire of jeans and a sweatshirt. I politely waited in line and when it was my turn she was quick and short with me. She took my information, swiped my card and within seconds informs me that they ran my credit and I did not pass the credit check so she couldn't help me any further. I have never known a car rental agency to run your credit, nor have I heard of being able to run your credit without your knowledge and just by the swipe of a credit card, I gave no additional information to have used for a credit check. I believe this business lied to me and refused by business for no reason. I am a respectable woman who works a full time retail job, I shouldn't have been denied with such blunt carelessness. I then was left to walk to enterprise (40 minutes away) who didn't need to run my credit and rented a car to me with no problem. Do not rent from Avis/Budget within the Sears, they are terrible! read more

This place without a doubt deserves 0 stars. I payed my reservation upfront for the vehicle and when I went to get the vehicle I was told they can't rent me it because I have poor credit. (Bc it's how you pay your bills) is what I was told. Now excuse my French here but that's why I was trying to rent the fucking vehicle so I can pay my ducking pills after I ALREADY PAID !!! Then I had to call a hotline to get my money back and I was told it will come back on two separate times. Oh and on the website it mentions nothing about being denied bc if credit. And why the fuck would they accept my money than tell me no after I got there. That is the dumbest fucking thing I've ever heard. Now I don't have money to go somewhere else to rent a vehicle so I can get to work. Un fucking believable. Oh and on top of that the lady was extremely rude about it, giving me a stink eye from the moment I walked in. read more

If I could leave 0 stars I would. Booked online and prepaid, went to pick up the car and the owner Annette said my "code id" wouldn't worked and couldn't proceed, then quoted me over $100 additional in what I already paid (??? Why would I pay twice??) so she then had ME call customer service because her computer wouldn't let her proceed, after being transferred and having her speak with the supervisor on the phone, who then heard her begin to yell at me! She then wagged her finger in my face and was extremely disrespectful (which her personality just wasn't friendly to begin with but I looked past that until this moment) the supervisor on the phone told me then to file a formal complaint for her behavior because he agreed it was not acceptable. Needless to say, I should have never tried to save a little money with a good coupon. In the end I was refunded my prepaid amount with no fees and left without a car. At that point I don't think I would have taken a car if it was free she was so unprofessional and honestly wouldn't trust her to even give me something for free! read more
