My advice is if you break down call your own tow truck they have the worst 800 number ever they left me stranded all night in Ohio for a flat tire and I had to call my own tow truck and pay for it myself then they had the audacity to send me a bill for the tire. Lol then they would not return my calls or emails so they are going to learn the hard way. Be a good business treat people fair or get destroyed. I went two hours away and couldn't get a flight out of Appleton. I turned the car in at the national at the Rockford airport and explained what happened they said no problem and then I explained to the Appleton manager what happened. She was very grateful and proceeded to give me a new bill of $1066. I told her what happened and she said with my emerald club discount it would be $1066. I gave her my code for my company and it dropped it to $566. I told her thanks for letting me choose smarter with renting cars. I would never choose national again. What's the point of renting a car when I could fly to each city for $200 dollars. She had no sympathy. If I could give a 0 rating I would. I'm also recommending my company to remove National from there company rentals. Side note: The guy at the desk was nice. I had booked back to back trips with them in two different states. Unfortunately, my travel arrangements had to be adjusted, and I had a significant amount of extra time before I needed to be at the airport. I called ahead and asked if I could return the vehicle a bit later. I was told that for 4 hours of extra time I would be biller $350 additionally. I didn't think that seemed fair and since I was literally returning one vehicle today and renting another from national I'm a different state tonight, they would provide some leniency and understanding. I received none and was told I had to call a different location to discuss a change of rate. I called the other location and was informed I needed to call the prior location to discuss the rate change. At that point, I asked to speak to a supervisor but should have asked to speak to someone with common sense or empathy. Upon explaining my ordeal, she told me there was nothing she could do about the rate. When she asked if there was anything else she could do for me, I notified her to cancel my second rental because I will no do business with this company. She notified me I could have a 2 hour grace period from my return time to return my rental today and would not be charged additionally. She confirmed the time with me and stated the return needed to be in by 2:15pm Although it wasn't ideal, I thought it was somewhat of a fair compromise. I still planned on returning my business to Enterprise, but felt a little better. That feeling, however, was completely dissolved upon returning the vehicle 90 minutes after my return time and being charged an additional $230. I asked the desk clerk why I would be charged if I returned within the grace period. She claimed the grace period is 29 minutes, and didn't know why anyone would tell me 2 hours. Again, she said there is nothing she can do to help me (a common theme with my experience). Frustrated, defeated, and feeling betrayed, I left the rental agency to again call in and find out why I was misinformed about the window. All in all, I eventually was returned the additional charge of $230 they tried to charge me for only an hour outside the window once you consider the 29 minute grace period. Personally never using national again. I usually don't like to paint broad strokes when it comes to companies understanding that sometimes individuals make mistakes, but based on my run around dealing with multiple locations and employees, I will take my business elsewhere and recommend the same to others.

Sometimes it's slightly more expensive, but…read morethere are often discounts (AAA and many others) and since you don't get the hard up-sell of other places the overall price tends to be reasonable. This location is small, at a small airport, but they have a big selection of vehicles. We had a Chevy Trax which turned out to be just fine for local travel (and toting a three-year-old.) Service was efficient and super friendly. The lot is big but easy to navigate. Pick-up and drop-off were fast, the price was reasonable, and I would definitely use them again.

Secondly they never make your rental according to the options that you have chosen when you book the car through the app/website. They will add some sort of additional insurance adding some $100 to the bill. Do validate the charges before signing the rental agreement. Lastly, i did not opt for the fuel option and filled the gas before i returned the car, and still got charged for the fuel. I showed a picture of a full tank during return but i got a updated receipt the following day with additional fuel charges. I would recommend any other service Avis, National at the location, not Hertz.

I had a rental booked through another company and my flight landed early...before 6:00am. Unfortunately the weather turned treacherous so our return flight canceled. When I call Alamo in Appleton to change my rental to drop off in Milwaukee I was told it would be $760 so it would be best if I closed out my current contract and booked separately to Milwaukee since I already had the vehicle... It was 5 times more than if I would get a one way rental from Green Bay to Milwaukee from another company but since I didn't want to drive on the icy roads and in the fog I agreed. Then I was told I actually had to go to them physically with the car to do the above! If I dropped it off in Green Bay it would be almost $300! The corporate office could not help me as this location was owned by a licensee and there wasn't a manager on site. My recommendation...go to any other counter but theirs if you need to rent a car in Appleton and there is any chance your plans are going to change unexpectedly.

Total scam. Even my insurance company went to bat for me as it was their rental reservation. The $500 is pure profit for Enterprise if you don't tamale the car. A prepaid deductible and non refundable. I had alway had very positive experiences with Enterprise. I will not use them again if I have other options.

When I called the number on the email (the Enterprise logo was first foremost on the email and the receipt), they (HTA) had the wrong vehicle linked to our account. Enterprise's online CS said that despite the email and charges coming from Enterprise, they had nothing to do with them. They have yet to reply how HTA showing the wrong car being linked to us isn't Enterprise's fault. If company charges a customer based on incorrect information from another company, the issue is between the 2 companies. A responsible company should immediately fix the problem for the customer and deal with the each other company after.

If you can afford to travel first or business class then you're not even looking at this review. For those of us who want to save our money for the destination, if Allegiant gets you there you can save considerable amounts of money and fly nonstop from small airport to small airport. The base price is hard to stick to, you have to pay for checked luggage, overhead carryon, being able to board earlier, choose your seat, have a few inches of knee room, in flight beverage or snack, and I can't remember what else. But I can play that game, so they punished me by giving me a center seat on both flights with so little room I was in the tight tuck position off a diving board. But it was a short flight, I was boarded nearly last, and Appleton Wisconsin and Orlando Sanford Airport are such pleasant low volume smaller airports. Parking is very affordable at Appleton which isn't a bad drive from Milwaukee. Sanford is a long way to the resorts on Orlando where renting a car is expensive, rental insurance is as much as the daily rate so even with a reservation ahead of time it's going to be close to $100 a day. I like to use public transportation, but LYNX, the Orlando area bus system is truly awful, so I had to Uber from the airport to the hotel and then back, but I still saved quite a lot of money as compared to flying from Milwaukee to Orlando on any other airline, including Spirit. Here's the most important thing, Allegiant was ON TIME going and coming back. I don't deny the customer service experiences other YELPers have had, but if you look at the reviews for other airlines, I'm afraid that's just what the industry has become.
