    Avis is one of my favorite car rental agencies, mostly because their staff is really nice across the board. This Avis is no exception. Other plusses: I like that you can rent a car here for the day for less than it would cost to rent a Zipcar for the same number of hours, and I really like that you don't need to bring the gas tank back full (they debit you for gas used instead). What I don't like is that you can't return your rental after hours, meaning your car's ass better be back in its space by 6 p.m. on a Sunday. The rental office is also four floors away from the cars, so if you have an issue, you will be making quite the trek to get help with it. Finally, the front office is small and usually has only one person working, so a line can build up pretty easily. Oh, and get this: They use a dot matrix printer. It brings me right back to 1987, only this time I'm old enough to rent a car.

    Despite most of the comments here I have been in the Avis twice and I have been very well attended and the car was very clean.

Upon seeing the car, I questioned the car's cleanliness, due to a "Lyft" sticker in the window, and was told the car was cleaned. Unfortunately, after leaving I noticed that the car was filthy, with smears on the buttons and a gross film on the inside of the windows, as someone had been using it as a Lyft vehicle. Finally, I stepped away into the parking lot to express my frustration with the situation on the phone to my partner, and the manager was listening to my personal call from a distance and got infuriated at this, and stated that she has cancelled my rental. Luckily, her co-worker stepped in and stated that he can continue with the rental, apologized for her behavior, and gave me the keys. Overall a terrible experience, and I would not recommend this location while this manager is in charge.

It had sticky residue all over the center console, drivers side mats, and the door. The outside was gross. Considering this location seems low staffed, I ignored it and chose not to complain. 2. The entire time I had the car the oil change alert was on. 3. I was driving the car and got stopped by someone that told me the back wheels were "wobbling" and I likely had loose lug nuts. 4. I dropped it off and I had my dog in there for less than 16 minutes and they charged me $100. The policy states "excessive dog hair that requires additional cleaning will incur charge". I could have cleaned up the dog hair myself, in a few minutes, but: 5. When I arrived for drop off (at the agreed upon time of 2pm) there was a scribbled sign that said "will be back in a few". Waited 20+ minutes and someone showed up (2 workers, why did both leave at the same time during a scheduled appointment??) It took another 10 minutes to get everything completed. I had a scheduled ride to the airport that I almost missed. It should not take 30+ minutes to return a car with 2 workers and no other customers there. I put in a request for a refund for the $100 to the manager and he denied it. Absolutely horrible experience and I will be reporting that charge as fraud. DO NOT GO HERE!

I called twice this week to confirm a pickup in the morning, and after 45 minutes of no one showing up, I called the store and spoke to the store manager (Louis).There was no apology for being late, no accountability, and I was actually blamed for the late pickup this morning because of a previous error this location made. I inquired about the two confirmation calls I had made for the pick up, and was told that by Louis that he "didn't know anything about that." I understand that sometimes people run behind, but not apologizing and taking accountability for the mistake is unprofessional and poor customer service. Just be warned, if they mess up and treat a customer who frequently rents from them this way, how do you think they'll treat you?

    TLDR: The most alarming part of this entire ordeal is not the confusion, the threats, or the…read moreconstant pressure - it's the absolute void where customer service should be. If you rent from Enterprise and something goes wrong, you will be on your own. No one will help you. No one will follow up. No one will even acknowledge you. My recent experience with Enterprise was so astonishingly mismanaged that I feel obligated to warn others. If anything goes wrong with your rental - even something entirely outside your control - you will be met with harassment and a complete absence of customer support. Our personal vehicle was vandalized, and we needed a rental while it was being repaired. Insurance covered the rental, and when we picked up the car on Christmas Eve, the Enterprise employee assured us everything was handled and there was nothing to worry about. That turned out to be wildly untrue. Starting the day after Christmas, I began receiving daily calls and voicemails from Enterprise. Assuming there was a simple mix up, I provided Enterprise with my insurance agent's information and the repair shop's contact details. I personally called both my insurance adjuster and repair shop every single day to make sure everything was moving forward. Enterprise, however, continued to behave as though none of that information existed. The calls escalated into threatening emails from so called "regional managers," insisting the situation would be sent to their "Risk Management" team. Then came more voicemails and emails - all demanding action from me, while Enterprise refused to acknowledge any of the information I had already provided. On the advice of my insurance agent, I contacted customer support and asked for an email address so I could document everything in writing. I sent detailed messages to Enterprise and forwarded them to customer support (customercare2@ehi.com). Not once - not a single time - did anyone from Enterprise respond, follow up, or attempt to resolve the issue. I have since returned the rental and still have not heard from anyone.

While driving to the airport for a business trip, my rental car started shaking on the highway. I had to pull over, and after calling a towing company, I was informed that two lug nuts were missing and all the lug nuts on all the wheels were loose. This was not only incredibly dangerous but could have resulted in a serious accident. In addition to this safety issue, I had to change my flight, which cost me an additional $190, but Enterprise did nothing to compensate me for this expense. I tried to reach out multiple times, emailing the account manager and contacting customer service, but I received no response. When I dropped off the car, I was told someone would follow up with me but no one reached out. The lack of care for my safety along with the poor customer service has been incredibly disappointing. I'm not only upset about the flight change fees and the stress this caused to my work schedule, but the fact that Enterprise seems to place no value on ensuring their vehicles are safe to drive. I travel a lot for work and rent cars frequently. It's disappointing that Enterprise failed to take responsibility for these serious issues, and I will not be renting from them again. I will consider legal action if necessary to obtain the report on this matter.
