When they looked at the front porch, they didn't need to tear down the entire porch because the beams were in good shape. I appreciated them not trying to make me buy a whole new deck if it was not needed. They were very comparably priced, but the work speaks for itself. The curb appeal they provided to the house in the front is such a difference. They were punctual and actually started the project earlier than expected, which was a nice surprise.

Todd and his staff helped us throughout the process from demolition to design. They truly care about their quality of work and want their customers to be happy with the results. I would trust them implicitly with any future remodeling projects and would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a trustworthy contractor.

When I called for an estimate on a bathroom remodel the employee asked more questions about my budget than the work I wanted done and the materials I wanted to use. After I tried to steer the conversation back to the work I wanted done, the frustrated employee said that their bathroom remodel prices start at $25,000 and that it would be a waste of their time to do an estimate if I wasn't willing to pay that price. To be honest, none of the pictures of bathroom remodels on their website look like they justify a minimum $25K price tag so I decided to go with a more reasonably priced remodeler. Unfortunately, Tischendorf was more interested in seeing how deep my pockets were rather than my goals for the project. This just shows the importance of getting multiple quotes before deciding on a contractor.

I would stay away from this guy. He acts as he knows what he is doing but he clearly lacks…read moreexperience and skill. I hired him to finish my basement. All of his jobs have problems: 1 - Floor: He didn't leave any gap (1/4 inch for expansion is standard) from the walls. There was a water leak which I notified him about, he finished the job and didn't check. I found there was still water everywhere after a week... Good thing I decided to redo the floor. 2 - Stairs: I was going to redo the stairs later anyway since the finish wasn't as nice as I hoped. After using it for a day; I almost tripped on the nose trim. It was a loose and I found most of them were loose and poorly finished. 3 - Walls: I was actually okay with this job and he was supposed to prep the wall for painting. After 3 coats of paint, the wall looks ugly due to poor or no prepping... I also paid him to build a fence, he acted like he was confident but he clearly lacked tools and knowledge. It was installed way too high and I told him it wasn't going to pass the permit inspection. He swore up and down this was okay and it failed... I still paid him and asked him to take the fence down but he ghosted me.

We didn't even have to remove our curtains. While hanging, they rolled them up and placed them in bags. They arrived on time, prepped, sanded, vacuumed and put one coat of stain on. They returned the next morning for less than an hour, to put the second coat on. The fumes were very minimal, (and would have been even less or none if we'd used the water based stain.) Both men were very polite and professional, and Carlos mentioned if we had any issues to let him know. We couldn't be more pleased with both the work and the price! Also, the owner was very professional and helpful in setting up the service.

#1 choose another contractor to work with. If you do work with them, keep these tips in mind:…read more Read your contract carefully at all iterations before signing, including scope of work line items and sub details. Do not trust what they say or don't say or that any changes you communicate in writing or otherwise will be accurately updated in their contract document. Require advance notice of any labor or materials you, as the customer, are expected to provide. For instance, moving furniture. Or providing paint. They literally came in asking about paint the morning they wanted to start painting when we had been under contract for months waiting for the job to start. Review contract carefully for warranty of labor and repairs, so you don't have to correct poor workmanship shortly after job completion, like applying more than 3 inches of glue to a 3 foot surface.  Require regular walk-throughs to ensure progress aligns with detailed scope of work. Require written update or record of conversations to ensure work discussed and details specified are completed fully and accurately. Ask questions and keep asking even if their reaction is irritation or disinterest. Finally, DON'T be fooled by their responses to critical customer reviews. In hindsight, I expect they are disingenuous at best if not totally inaccurate or misrepresentative. Some contractors are wonderful to work with, will listen and carefully and execute skillfully, providing quality finished product at good value. This is NOT that contractor. Poor communication, poor execution, overpriced and unpleasant to work with.  My suggestion: choose someone else.
