I had a lovely conversation with Winter while I killed time before a show. I own a game store in the US and they gave me lots of ideas for new things to try! There was a great mix of popular titles and more niche ones, all at reasonable prices.

The store is an Aladdin's cave of treasures. This isn't those Warhammer type games, no Orcs and Goblins will be found here. Instead, these are the proper toy soldiers from a vast array of eras. They are set up in displays, although the vast majority are for sale. The only downside is that it gets a bit warm in here during the summer, but frankly the awesomeness of it all is well worth it. If you're in the Buckingham Palace area with your kids, then I worth popping in just for a look around - at speed you could do it in two minutes, but I'm pretty sure you'll want to stay longer.

I cannot rate this shop at all, i find their attitude arogant and rather disturbing. i would not recommend this shop to anybody unless i loathed them (but some of the helicopters did look rather nice even through the eyes of a woman), and could quite see the attraction to them THEY DEFINATLEY WONT GET ANY OF MY MONEY.

Only after opening a PayPal claim within a couple hours did I receive any acknowledgment- the part conveniently just showed up. So they requested I close the claim, which I happily did, only asking to be kept informed or sent a tracking number or something. I know they're likely a very busy shop, but just one email would have been sufficient, only to not receive anymore responses. Canceling my order. It took an e-mail, threatening to cancel the order and get my money back to really spur them into action. I appreciated that this was suppliers stock, but why promise something you can't deliver? Why not keep the customer informed where delays are possible and are being experienced? Why not offer full refund and allow customer to go elsewhere? When initially chased, Al's said they hadn't received anything from me, (both e-mail and site form completed!). When answered there was no explanation as to why nothing was happening, just a simple "I'll look into it". A reputable company has really left a nasty taste in this customers mouth. Would I use them again? Yes, of course, their prices and stocks are very competitive, but they need to get their ordering and customer service sorted out.

Prices are reasonable for the items and they also have a range of long boards for sale. Their original flagship store in the North Laines is a jugglers wet dream as they stock a wide selection of juggling balls, rings, sticks, clubs and bar flares. For those that have perfected their juggling and fancy trying something else, they have diablos, poi spinners, devil sticks, knives, spinning plates, hacky sacks, stilts, walking ladders and uni cycles. For the uninitiated - like me - there's also hula hoops and advanced yo yo's!

However, as some reviewers of model shops seem to forget, the shop exists to provide a living. I can understand why model shops get upset with people picking their brains and then buying elsewhere. As a customer i buy things but even when i am buying something small i am treated as a valued customer.
