This place is a dump. Aviator took over a couple of years ago and it has died and gone to hell. My first gripe is that they have not replaced the golf balls for about a good year or two. You can tell because the majority of the balls have no more dimples on them, making them less aerodynamic. What's the point in practicing your swing if you can even tell the true flight path of your ball? And oh yea the price of balls has gone up. They don't even wash them anymore. The ball dispenser pisses out dry dirty old balls. They are cheap. Staff cuts have left us scrounging for our own buckets which are laying all over the place. It looks like a toddlers room with the buckets scattered everywhere. The putting green is all weeds. They cut the first tee program for young golfers learning the game. There used to be a practice sand bunker but it is now overgrown with weeds. There used to be sand flees in there but it's now too shitty for even them. There are grass tees that you can hit off of but they are taken care of just as a gravel parking lot would be. You'll see what I mean if you take a peek. I pray that a major overhaul takes place one day. This is Brooklyn's only driving range and these guys running it are taking full advantage of it, letting the place decay while cutting staff and raising prices. I can only hope a Top Golf comes in and bulldozes it so they can open up shop. read more

I have been playing golf my whole life - over 50 years!! - and this is absolutely the worst run driving range I have ever seen. There are no rubber tees, about half the golf balls are old and beat up. Some have no dimples and fly erratically. It is a total disgrace!! No decent golfer would go there a second time. In order to draw in more customers they need to replace the golf balls on a regular basis and provide rubber tees. They did replace some of the mats but many are still years old from the former owners. Try going to Spring Rock Golf Center to see what a well run driving range should be like. And it is much, much cheaper. A range card gets you 175 balls for about $10 where as Aviator charges $13 for 110 balls, half of which are unusable. A total disgrace!! read more

I have been to the range here maybe 4-5 times and I really do enjoy the sport. It is really fun swinging away here as the field goes super far out, and there are little yard markers to help you track your distance. Tees are sometimes not in every tee area and it may be a little annoying accommodating say a Lefty and Righty are hitting together but once you're set up, it is very comfortable. There are few things I would rather do than be swinging away on a cool summer day. Overall the value for a large bucket of golf balls is great, and with good pace, will keep you having fun for a good amount of time. read more

This was great. Came here on a double date. I had a Groupon for 4 ($16) for mini golf. Comfortable atmosphere. 18 holes- just long enough to feel each other out and test each other's competitive side. Easy breezy check in and out. No complaints! I am here 2 or 3 times a week. If it is not crowded you will find a nice mat and tee to hit off of. When it is crowded that can be a problem. The place is tremendous but it can get crowded in the summer as kids come with girlfriends to try and hit balls. There are nice targets on the range to work on your shorter shots and your alignment. The short game area is good. The putting green is not the greatest but it serves its purpose. I take lessons with Anthony (Arod) and he is a tremendous instructor. If you want to get better or you are just looking to take the game up I would highly recommend asking about lessons when you go. Anthony also works with kids and from what I have seen the kids love him. My friends daughter goes there for First Tee and she has a ball. read more

Wanted to have an activity day with my boyfriend and his 6 year old daughter, so I got a Groupon. $8 for two people, and $5 for a child. For $13 we had a nice time. We went in the early afternoon on a Tuesday, so there was no waiting between each hole. The facility is clean and the staff was polite. My only feedback is that they should consider stepping up the mini golf course by adding some fun obstacles. It was pretty bland. But overall good time for a good price. read more

Came here for the Women's golf clinic on Wednesdays and I honesty can't say anything bad about the place. My instructor was very cool, I had a great time, learned a lot, and you can't beat the price. The range could have been a bit cleaner but you can't beat what you get for the price. read more

Inexperienced staff with little or no golf experience. Aviators web site has special deals an offerings for an extra 25 balls during certain times however the staff in unaware and non receptive to this even when being shown on my smart phone. Only minor improvements are evident since being taken over by Aviator. This place is in desperate need of all new hitting mats which they claim to have but have not put out. This alone will keep most serious golfers away as well as the 8:00 PM closure. Previous concessionaire was open much later to accommodate post work sessions beyond 8:00 pm. Staff just wants to get out of there and are not shy to let you know when you purchase balls close to 7:15 (last bucket sold), always feel rushed. With the right improvements this place can be good for both recreational and serious golfers however there needs to be some adult supervision Management on site at all times so that the staff acts professionally... this is a business a 7/5/18, another disappointing night at Aviator golf center. Arrived at 8:30 and was told that they were closed at 8:30 for the week. There are NO updates on their website that indicate this and staff again was so unprofessional. This place has NOT gotten their act together and doubt that they ever will. They have replaced the hitting mats however last week you were lucky if you found a tee, good thing I bought my own at PGA store. Constant ball machine issues, no off hours bonus balls and have not been issued a loyalty card even when I ask. Place is poorly run and is a direct reflection of the management of this facility. Great place to practice your swing in good ol' BK. For the sheer cool factor I prefer Chelsea Piers but I also prefer not having to lug my clubs to Manhattan. The heated stalls are sweet in the Fall; granted the balls don't auto-tee like certain place in Manhattan but it's really not the end of the world. There are ample pins that are well marked. I especially appreciate that they have some longer distance ones (200+) which are great motivators when practicing your drive. There's an area to practice chipping and putting which is awesome and tends not to get too crowded. There's definitely a mix of people fooling around and hitting balls off a tee for the first time as well as some serious hobbyists practicing for a round at nearby Marine Park Golf Course. The balance keeps the atmosphere light-hearted and the aforementioned short game area relatively empty. Same goes for the grass tees. The pros are also excellent as well and lessons are pretty reasonable. read more

This is the best golf course in Brooklyn. The owner and staff are very nice and accommodating. I work with a special ed group for developmentally disabled individuals and we go golfing here at least once a month. The owner is a good, kindhearted man who always gives our group a free round. My individuals enjoy golfing here and we plan on continuing for years to come. Otherwise the compound is large, staff is knowledgeable, and the equipment is good quality. Great driving range in Brooklyn. At the Marine Park Golf course range you can not use woods. No limitations here. Very affordable. Nice staff. They have a new system where the fifth large bucket is free. They also have a Par 3 course near Fort Tilden which is also very affordable and a great course to play. read more

Just went to use the range , seems like a good price. It pays to bring your own equipment and some adjustable tees. Plenty of distance markers but landing area is mostly dirt and some puddles , very deep range for big bombers. read more
